    My personal opinion is that you are doing it wrong. Death is supposed to be avoided. If you spawn right back in next to your body then where is the motivation to survive? I don't understand why so many people try to play this zombie mod like it's a team death match. There are plenty of games that do that and allow you to spawn right back with weapons and everything. Why not go play those?

    No, it's not locked. If you use the in game Arma server finder you can filter on thegeeks and find it or connect via IP/port. For some reason I haven't figured out yet my servers don't show up on http://arma2.swec.se/server/list or DayZ Commander.

    Feel free to check out TheGeeks (links in sig). The population is low, it's just a server I setup so my friend and I could kill zombies in peace. I do upgrade fairly often to keep up with the latest Bliss changes but the server is usually up. If you are looking for more people and PvP action then check out Survival Ops. That's where I play when I want more people interaction.

    When I logged in this afternoon I noticed someone had borrowed my friend's jeep. Luckily they were nice enough to leave it out in a field where I could find easily find it (in this shot it's hiding behind the Ural) and fully fueled. I took the liberty of hiding your cars better. Look around in the trees in that area, they are all within 200m of where I found them. Since it was a long hike over there to get the jeep back I took a few supplies. Not wanting you to get hurt I also swapped you a Winchester for a couple of your big boy guns. :D Hide your stuff better, the next person that finds it might not be as nice as I was.

    I'm not, but my server is just for fun and there's never been more than 3 people on at a time. ;) The spare server in my basement specs: Dual AMD Opteron somethingorother @2GHz 6GB RAM Windows 7 PATA 80GB HDD Someone with a real server can give you a better idea of requirements.

    That depends on what server you are running. On Bliss variants I think you want profile and/or survivor tables. This assumes you are running your own private hive locally. If the hive is hosted by someone else then you need to contact their support channels.

    Short answer, no. My private hive runs on on an older rack mount server with minimal on board video (ATI Rage XL IIRC) and no sound hardware at all.

    It depends on what you mean by good. If you are looking for a high population server then I recommend Survival Ops. For low population I play on my own server because (so far) it is hacker free and my friend and I can concentrate on killing zombies. If you want to check out my server search for TheGeeks in game or DayZ commander.

    Park heli and logout. It will be safe up here. Log back in to get in heli... There was no one else on the server (it's my private hive server), just Arma2 engine screwing me over (again). Got to love DayZ! :D

    I use tractors quite a bit too. It seems like other players pass on them because I tend to find them more often than any other vehicle.
