In Soviet Russia, dog shoots you! Seriously, don't shoot my dog. Or else. Since you can't have girlfriends in the game, dogs will be the next best thing, and shooting one will PISS someone off. Especially me.

Depends on server load... if its near capacity, spawning in can take upwards of 10 minutes to fully spawn. Best bet is to ctrl+alt+del the game if it hangs for 3+ mins on a low pop server.

Trust me, saving the chopper doesn't do a damn thing anymore. I lost 4 of them. Only *surefire* way to *save* it is to blow the damn thing up and wait for the restart. In my limited experiences with them, they respawn full green, either out of gas or the gas you left in it. Items left in it are sometimes there, sometimes not. I'm not trolling, I'm being serious. 3 times I found one at Skalsity, 3 times it despawned. On the 3rd ownership, my buddy was drunk-flying and crashed it; Full green on server restart in the place it blew up. Next restart it was gone. The other time was when we were repairing it at NE airfield, almost had it fixed (had saved it), and server restarted. Poof.

Just imagine that is the L85, and if you don't like it, then DONT FUCKING LOOK AT IT! :) Edit: I have had the privilege of having 3 non-duped L85s over the course of my experiences in DayZ. I love them as they create a sense of dread in the game; you never know where they are or how many have one. It is the only thing that gives SVD Camo+ghillie people nightmares when sniping Cherno/Elektro/Stary. As unbalanced as it is, it balances the overall game very nicely, as it gives pause to anyone without one.

I stole the Russian 4x4 (UAZ) from a campsite, only to have it despawn on restart.... or so I thought. I then found it at the... North East Airfield :/. it still had the gas that we had left in it, and also had a bunch of military equipment in it, including one of every color Smoke grenade, 10 SVD mags, and ~ 10.... RGO Frag grenades? I've never seen those before, are they hacked? I know military vehicles sometimes spawn with gear, and it also had a tent.

I believe it SHOULD be bannable, but currently admins cannot *rightfully* ban people for using hacked weapons. I'm sure it happens anyway, but I would troll the shit out of you and your buds if I found you guys using/storing/duping hacked weapons. Besides, there's other ways to *ban* people from a server without using BattlEye tools.

Duping isn't random, but a LOT of it is accidental. Try moving stuff between campsites right now, half the time it dupes on server restart and the other half it respawns in its previous location. Vehicles have a nasty tendency of doing that too, or just getting gobbled up by the server randomly. Have I taken a Ghillie from a tent, saved the tent, and found it back again after restart? Yes. I've saved and then run over my old tents to try and destroy the crap items from falling into someone else's hands/ prevent the items from respawning there, and its no use. I've never intentionally duped, but it still happens. Every time I find a hacked weapon I destroy it one way or another. I like to think that I'm trying to play the game correctly, but the game gives me the big middle finger quite a bit.

Lately, me and my friends have found a few choppers and had the server eat them every single time. First was NE airfield, spawned all red and my buddy was driving back to it with the last windshield when the server restarted, and ate it. We had saved it numerous times. The next day, we began looking for it again, and I found it at Skalsity, and it was all green, and out of gas. After sticking 7 gas cans in it we were able to fly it to a gas station, refuel, and enjoy it for a few hours before it was eaten again. Again i found it at Skalsity, with the gas cans we had put in it still inside. Refueled and enjoyed it again for a little while. Yet AGAIN i found it at Skalsity, this time with no gas cans. After refueling, My buddy was flying drunk, and crashed it. Upon server restart it was back in the crashed spot, green and ready to go. Upon the next restart it was eaten again, and I haven't seen it since. Tents and other vehicles are extremely buggy too, when moving campsites almost anything we take out is either put back in its original tent, or duped accidentally. Saving and running over the tents doesn't help. Last night i had the Russian 4x4 (the most ANNOYING vehicle in game) despawn after we had raided another campsite and spawn at the.... NE Airfield. We also stole the red car from them, stashed it, and later were going back to retrieve it when someone else had found it and was driving away. A few SVD and L85 mags later, the car was blown up after hitting a tree, then disappeared. It respawned in the same place after server restart. As of right now, almost every item/vehicle is bugged to some extent. From auto-repairing 4x4s, Buses, bikes, and motorcycles to respawning on the coast, DayZ is full of bugs and you just gotta learn to deal with it. Can't wait for the standalone game!

I read the article on IGN, so that's what I'm basing my opinion off of. Not sure if its the exact same as the Kotaku article. He basically said consoles are a possibility, if the PC standalone version sells well. I just don't want to see it on 360/PS3 as their life cycles are expiring. Honestly, if he decides to jump right in, I'd like to see it on WiiU. The touchscreen gamepad would be PERFECT for the inventory system; the question remains if it is capable enough to run DayZ. If so, that would be the first console he should port it to, and then 720/PS4 if he should so desire. I don't believe it would water down the PC experience at all; he stated that it would be PC first, and then possibly ported, a la Witcher 2. CD Projeckt Red did a fantastic job in the 360 port of Witcher 2, but definitely had to cut back on the graphics. They redesigned the Inventory and controls to fit the controller, and did a pretty good job. Its still not the same as the PC version, but its not a bad compliment. I'm still artifacting in places, namely the Berezino tents. I too initially spawned on the coast (with all my gear) then ran north. After a server restart, I again respawned on the coast (this time with my buddy) with all of my gear. Haven't tried flushing since this patch, but before it didn't do any good. Until DayZ is a standalone game, I expect this kind of thing to happen. Kudos still go to Rocket for creating an awesome mod! :D

Ive been killed by a hacker and his army of moaning female clones before. It sucks.

So on US 1220 there were 5 or 6 hackers on, flying around in A-10 Warthogs, and also spawned at LEAST a GAZ (a tractor and 2 motorcycles were near Balota Airfield as well). Personally, I found a Huey on the ground west of Elektro. I did not get in ANY vehicles, and a bunch of TF guys were in the server as well( and disappeared when the flying was over). Currently, 2 A-10 crash sites are north of Elektro, as it appears all of them were instabanned in midair. The admin will be notified shortly (he actually advertises his DayZ name on the forums for such events).

Something changed, whether intended or not. Me and my friends have been knocked out today with more than 9000 blood, and its occurring more often. Zombies have definitely been buffed. As a side note, I was knocked out by an Enfield in the back at the NE Airfield, and I guess he thought i was dead. When I came to I unloaded everything I had into him and won :)

Regardless, evidence is mounting against these guys.

i think that would have to be done by server, and subject to server restarts. I don't think the Hive could handle telling each server you play on to only spawn you at Kamenka. How about removing Kamenka as a spawn and only spawning far west as Komarovo? Lets face it, Kamenka is the one of the worst respawn points, along with Quarry (unless you're heading to Berezino) at Solinichy.

I like the theory, its plausible. Until (if ever) an official *storyline* comes forth, I think its cool that the players can construct the downfall of Chenarus through their own minds. We have no idea what started the infection, no idea why we spawn on the southern coast, we just do. There's been a few posts on radios being found and creepy music/messages being played across them, whether they're legit or not I don't know, but until notes/books/non-zombie NPCs show up (again, probably won't and arguably shouldn't) this theory works for me.

Also, I'm unfamiliar with the PCIE 3.0 achitecture, but 2.1 and 2.0 were backwards compatible. Check your Mobo specs to see if it will play nicely with any new card :) . Also, I hope you have a 500+ Watt power supply, and not some cheapo $29.99 350W one.

I believe PPAA stands for Post Processing Anti Aliasing, and you will take a pretty big framerate hit if your system is not up to snuff (CPU usage). Its effects are debatable and some don't like it. I could be wrong on this though.

Hit the , or . (< >) keys to select direct chat. Sometimes text works, sometimes not. A mic is highly recommended, and other players' voices will be heard through your speakers/headset up to 50m away

I was damn near killed in a porta potty at Castle Zub (there IS loot inside of porta potties). When attempting to loot it i accidentally shut the door on myself, breaking my leg and bleeding out. Luckily my friend was nearby with morphine.

Yep. Hacked vehicles are more common that the regular ones. Last night hackers spawned a tractor, UAZ, 4-5 A-10s, a dirtbike, and a Huey at Elektro on a server, then left (or were banned). Also my buddy found a UAZ earlier near Elektro (different server) that was out of Gas (we thought it was legit) that disappeared with most of our stuff on a server restart. As for the OP, I guess you're wanting confirmation that you're a douchebag, because I don't know what else you're looking for. Congrats on using the hacked vehicles too.
