  7. I whole heartedly agree. The way they communicate gives a lot of uncertainty when it comes to how far they are progressing and what their intended goals are for what makes BETA and 1.0. We didn't even know fishing wasn't going to be in before 1.0 until now. How can something like that let slide and be made uncertain until half way through the year. Also it doesn't take months to implement. They're not going to implement all the weapons in if it takes time away from developing other important systems. All they are doing essentially is implementing weapons that matter on improving the system. Such as the mosin being a means of implementing chamber looping that can then work for all other bolt action/pump action rifles/shot guns. That itself would have taken more time to develop than actually implementing the weapon. Say they wanted to implement the winchester70 now. It will not take as long as it did for the mosin because that major system that had to be implemented is done. But the fact that none of this is communicated is the issue.

  10. Some of that is the community to blame. It is just the implementation of it in the new scripting language and systems. Those systems are also still being fine tuned. Sure the new engine is here but by no means is it complete. They dont start from scratch at all. They just need to configure them to work on the new systems and then implement them.
  11. This is exactly what they would want to do. But the whole issue is that they can't progress much more with these blockers causing unplayable experiences. The most stable build of .63 is what's on experimental and this new build has more content yet is unstable. How do you think they can manage to do what you say if this is the result? xd And honestly what you're asking is sorta exactly what occurred in early standalone days. A lot of fundamental issues that were present could not be fixed and just more content kept flowing in to keep our interests. But it got so bad that eventually they as well as the community could not just deal with constantly finding workarounds and bandaids to issues that required more than that.
  12. Bohemia is a business first and foremost. To say they shouldnt be working on multiple projects at a time when they have the resources shows a lack of understanding at how these companies work. Arma 3 has had hundreds of devs working in and out during the development of standalone. Yet you don't bat an eye as to why they don't allocate MORE resources to dayz instead? Fact of the matter is you can't just keep throwing people at a project and expect it to move faster. To introduce more devs into the project now would result in a lot of time allocation in training them on the current engine systems. What we have now are probably the same seen and unseen devs that have been working on the game since it started development. They know all the ins and outs of the game and are the best suited people to finish it.

    This is true. In fact when the first experience of using the new system occurred i thought that just holding the key to perform the action would have been a lot better. Didnt occur to me that it would have a bit of a flaw xd Though i dont like how long it takes for the action to actually start performing when holding the key. Makes it feel like im lagging.

    Yea im not a fan of occupying one of my movement key fingers to hold a separate key for 3-5 seconds. Though i can let it grow on me, i feel that its a bad design as it takes away ease of free moving.

    Ive had this thought as well and came up with a really quick mockup using existing feature. And yes it is a radial menu please don't hurt me. You could hold R which would bring up a radial menu showing all the mags that are in your "pockets" (vests, pants, jacket) and choose which mag to use. Just throwing ideas out there. Not to mention moving mosin bullet loading to the same actions as loading magazine with bullets. Choose bullet -> hold LMB while holding gun.

    They mean storage containers. Like bags, barrels etc. I think it was just a copy paste since there aren't any of those in experimental atm.

    O_O This is what i mean by things starting out fine then turning into a shitfest on this forum. @Solopopo I completely agree that i shouldn't take responsibility off BI. But i cannot help but sympathize when sometimes issues can be a cause of things that are completely out of your control. All you can do is figure out a way to create a workaround with your own software. (Many times i've had this issue happen to me in projects where things kept breaking after updates) Now that these issues have appeared out of nowhere that's a lot of work and effort taken off of creating content patches that the community is begging for. In terms of those errors you posted about dayz uninstalling itself. That is not exclusive to DayZ. If you do a little research you'll notice its actually a steam issue and the game just stops being shown as "installed" in your library even tho its still on your harddrive.

    Definitely needs to be a mechanic to encourage players to heat/cook/mix their food together to make actual meals. Then there can be mods that expand upon cooking introducing more tools, cutlery and ingredients :P Loved don't starve's cooking mechanics.

    Sorry that was more about the fact that the discord server IS indeed quite hidden. I cannot find the link on any official medium besides reply tweets on twitter or reddit posts. Which is what i found funny because dwarden said its "such a simple url that people still fail to use it". Sorry for making you think i was being hostile.
