Oh yea, I have pretty decent gear as well. I am willing to give anything on my tool belt besides the NVG but you can have toolbox or GPS. I am also carrying excess morphine (need one but have two or three) and I am even willing to give up my pride and joy M 240.

I am in Vybor next to the smoke stack in need of medical attention. I am in combat log shock and before getting too angry my group was attacked by a hacker on a dirt bike who took over 40 + rounds from my M240 before I logged due to the mass of zombies and him shooting each of my two buddies in the head as we laid there with broken legs. I would not give him that final kill even though it made me cheap in the process by using alt F4. I asked earlier but had to get off, but I figured I would ask again. Feel free to say it is my punishment for combat logging, but we have all been hit by a hacker. All I really need is to be bandaged up so I can survive the timer, I have all the other supplies needed to heal myself so you will not be required to wait around and give a blood bag. Weird medic request and I swear I am not a combat log type of player. Was walking south of vybor when a guy teleported to our position on a dirt bike. My friend called it out (it was daytime on the south side of Vybor headed toward the grocery store and there is no way he drove up) and we all opened fire. The guy took far too many shots not to have God mode on and I personally hit him with 40 + rounds from an M240 which should have destroyed him and his bike ten times over. He ran over both of my friends and murdered them and clipped me. This put me in shock with a broken leg and a horde of zombies plus the hacker getting off his bike so yes I did log out (mostly so he would not get the satisfaction of all the gear I had built over two weeks the legit way). I am now in shock and when I log in I bleed out. All I need is a bandage (if you can do that to a fallen survivor) or an epi so I can bandage myself. Not even sure if this is a possible request or my cheapness for logging means I am convicted to death. I would not ask but I finally landed a pair of NVG and really do not want to kit up again. PS, I already know combat logging is a sissy move and I feel somewhat bad, no need to rub that fact in.

I play in this server quite a bit and have never really seen any shady conduct and I see that player on frequently. Also he might have a silenced weapon, I use an MP5 SD once in awhile when in towns to cut down on agro and overwatch catching me in the act.

Tell me what server to meet you at and I will give you all of the gear you request friend. This is completely not a bandit wanting your beans.

I use the same logic when buying a new vehicle, I tell the salesman that since the car uses the same chassis and engine as my current car I should get the car for 25% less.

Just run through it or take an angle that does not have that many artifacts. This usually works for me and due to these bugs people are avoiding the NWAF like the plague. Also, it normally only shows up when facing one direction so you can use it as a way to shoot unsuspecting looters running a way you know has poor visibility.

People should learn to be more careful in Dayz even though I would never pull this nonsense the two times I have actually tried to complete a trade I had a friend on overwatch. I expect shady deals, so as I walk up I let it be known that I have a man with a sniper rifle for cover. Lesson learned oshnatour.

I get that sentiment, but I would expect a little shame from these people trying to defend their cheap moves. Go ahead and be cheap (not you but those who actually use combat logging), but do not try to sell it as a legitimate tactic in this game. It will be fixed (at least I hope it will), but until then it separates the good players from the cheap players who will never learn how to pvp until this option is removed. Also stop using the excuse of "well I am a survivor and do not want to pvp in the first place," that is fine but you are playing a game with a significant pvp function. You can attempt to avoid conflict when possible, but every once in awhile you will need to put on your big boy pants and actually mix it up. Having said that I normally do not rage on this topic nor do I spend much time thinking about the people who disconnect when I am shooting at them, like most things in Dayz you just have to move on. But as someone else said if someone is cheap enough to disconnect they are most likely cheap enough to ghost you, so move positions after someone disconnects to avoid the cheapest player besides a hacker, the ghoster.

Stupid way to think of it but alright. It is only part of the game because of the difficulty involved in fixing the issue. The best way would be an abort timer of 5 to 10 seconds, but then you would have people whining about dying while experiencing a legitimate disconnect situation. It is cheap as all hell though, so please spare us your weak ass rationale for why it is fine to pull this sissy move in the middle of a firefight. It is a cheap move. Period.

Does changing your resolution work better than Flush? I hate the artifacts but normally they only pop up in one direction and I can still get to the airfield. I am pretty sure that is 90% of the reason the NWAF is so dead lately, no one wants to run blind through a known sniper trap, but I have also not found many snipers recently. I think right now is a rare safe time to raid this area, so everyone needs to start going up there while the loot is still available and that is in no way meant to draw people out to increase my pvp chances.

Was in a group of about five IRL friends who have since grown tired of the game while I am still playing on. I have some decent gear already (M240, M4A1 CCO, M16A4 ACOG, Bizon, some AKM's, SVD camo, medical loot, and enough loot for another basic tool set up with plenty of mags in a tent) but I am fairly tired of playing solo. If any players from the US or specifically the West Coast are looking for a talented veteran who is a decent scout and assault player hit me up. I have Skype, a good microphone, and I am not an exploit player or hacker. PS, if anyone wants to trade any of that gear for NVG I would give you every gun in a heart beat (well maybe not my M240). Been on an epic run of bad luck when it comes to NVG, about 60 NWAF barrack raids with no luck.

A real bandit is someone looking for camps, vehicles, and high level gear players. I spend most of my time North of Stary looting the NWAF, killing NWAF looters, and looking for clans to mess with (who usually put bases on the edge of the map in the North, come on guys you would have better luck putting it somewhere in the middle of the map). If I see somebody running around with a pistol and no primary on their back I might just leave them alone as long as they do not see me. If someone actually makes it up north rocking a hatchet I will kill them just to teach them a lesson not to mess around that far up with such pathetic gear. Killed a guy in the NWAF barracks the other day who had only a M1911 on him, but he might have been on a loot run and made that choice on purpose.

Too friendly, should have shot him the second he took that first swing. To the OP that is definitely evil and this is from someone who could care less about murdering some random fellow survivor. If someone helps me at all I will not murder them, but if someone surprises me I will not ask any questions as I shoot them in the face.

Also I am 28 with a job, so I play on weeknights and quite a bit on the weekends. I usually have time to put in at least 2 to 3 hours a night or more if something fun pops up.

I said two possibilities, but this being the third post I suspect they are up to something shady. You have to understand many survivors get butthurt when they are murdered, I do not even know how to hack and I refuse at this point to engage in any cheap game play yet I have still been called a hacker a couple of times. People now think everyone is teleporting when it is often just someone logging on or the person being killed was not looking properly, yet I see hundreds of teleport whines each day.

I server hoped when I first started and did the exact same thing and I would bet my first born that at some point you have as well. I stopped when I got really into the game and decided I would not be part of the problem, but I do not get all high and mighty about other people doing something most of us have done before. Plus I still server hop in a sense, I will go about 400 meters away from the target and then jump to another server for loot, how else am I going to complete all of these high level loot runs? It really is only cheap when people ghost or jump right into the building (and there is a draw back to that as you mentioned). I want to meet the experienced Dayz player who has never combat logged (once again will not do this anymore, took a death a week ago with so much high level gear when I could have combat logged) or server hopped for loot.

Been searching for NVG's at the airfield for the past week (having epic bad luck, after about 60 visits and 9 murders of other looters and still no NVG's) and have been smart enough to go into low population servers. You are correct though, if there is more than five people on the server odds are at least one is at the NWAF. I entered a server with two people, ran up to the south barracks and found one of them in the barracks looting and killed them which brought the other person to my position which resulted in an awesome gun fight that left me with 922 blood. Saw a clan with two Urals, two ATV's, and a UAZ roll through with about 9 people (was definitely smart enough to let them pass as I was solo). I know some of the sniping spots around the airfield and have two sniper murders from checking them before going onto the airfield but I know if I keep this up I will be dead fairly soon. Tip for those of you who want to loot, do not run onto the actual airfield, it will be your death. It is never safe but approaching the barracks from the forests will greatly increase your odds of survival. Also stop server hoping right into the Barracks, three of my murders were from people hopping on right in front of me.

It is not racism if everyone is white, it is called xenophobic Frenchy (kidding sort of but stop being touchy).

Moral of the story, become a bandit and shoot people. Or learn to read people better (so yes not teaming up with Frenchy unless you speak French). You could do the mature thing and just back away especially if they do not have a gun, or you could learn like the rest of us to not trust people you do not know. Just be thankful you did not have any good gear, dying is easy in the beginning.

This is the third post I have seen about this clan in the past week, either they have killed a bunch of butthurt survivors (completely possible considering all the whining I see when I murder someone completely legit) or they might be engaging in some shady activity, although from the description does not sound like hacking just admin abuse.

Repeal the ban for the simple fact he is not being a d bag about it.

Yea it does look like an obvious hack kill and he even gives himself away by saying sorry I have to do this before you die. Good luck and hope the guy gets the ban hammer.

Except if that is how he wanted the game to be played he would have already included this request. As the game stands now it would be a poor option that would take away the fear of dying from a player. What is stopping a player from leaving four characters at a base and if one dies no big deal you still have three more to cheaply defend the base? If the game changes and it makes sense then fine, but I think the point of the game right now is the fear of a death that actually carries consequences. If you have four characters then your death will only be annoying.
