Let me preface this by saying I do not do this (well since I was a newb, most of us have done something cheap in our early dayz life), but I do not have a huge problem with people doing this when they are not in combat. It is cheap, but it only ruins the experience for that single player. It is completely unnecessary especially with the tree glitch that allows you to lose agro or the fact that you can run into any building with two doors and lose the agro, but the only persons game play it harms is the person doing the log out.

I re logged quickly to lose the zombie horde. Hopped server to a higher populated server 10 seconds after spawning i heard at least 3 different weapons fire at me one akm or AS50, one M16/M4 and one silenced weapon only one of them could shoot through the tree but none hit me i guess they fought i logged out. So you come on the forums to tell everyone you are cheap, if you have a horde chasing you then run through a building, kill them, or suffer the consequences. At the very least do not log off while in the middle of a fight, that is sissy shit. You guys are a cancer to this game, I hope you get AIDS (joking, but come on man at least lie in your retelling of the story so you do not look like a bitch).

Does not sound like a simple problem. If English is not your first language I apologize for everything I am about to say. This post makes potheads look incredibly stupid. I have a great job and have been relaxing with cannabis my entire adult life, but I hate people like you with a passion. Not everything is about pot (like for example a Dayz forum with a useful tip) and unless you are a non native English speaker it looks like it stunted your education (the more I read the post the more obvious it is that you are not a native English speaker so once again my bad and apologies for the criticism).

Misses the point of the entire post then says this stupid shit. No fucking shit you have sniper rifles up there, I also know all the common sniper spots up there. I roll with backup so while I am usually rocking the light machine gun to fuck up cars and groups of people in mid range engagements, two buddies are watching with a DMR and an AS50, so good luck getting that shot off on me in the first place. You missed the point though, I could care less if you murder me at Cherno, Elektro, or the NWAF because I am a long term player who knows how to play this game (death is a big part of the game despite it not happening to me all that often). Right now I am fully geared out except the rangefinder, so murdering me is completely fair game and I stand out like a sore thumb with my huge M240 running through any area. I said real bandits are killing higher level groups or are hunting experienced players at Stary and the Airfields, people who are pure griefers are hunting new spawns at the coast like douchebags. If you actually manage to murder me by sniping or in a mid to close range firefight bravo, I will not bitch at all. I just think the newb campers are pussies and I make a point to murder them when I am in the area (which is not that often).

As long as you do not call yourself a bandit I am fine with how you play this game (just know bandits hunt idiots like you all the time, I know all the sniping spots above Cherno and I check them carefully from the North before ever dropping down to the coast). The problem with the bandit/survivor debate is we are missing a third category, griefers. I am not perfect and I kill fresh spawns for no reason from time to time (sorry again zombie bin laden, it was funny though), but I never really set out to do this. Griefers only goal is to snipe people from a distance and usually log off within a couple of minutes of the shot, these are not bandits. Whenever I find a body with a sniper rifle I hide the body so that rifle is now out of circulation. I am not even some butthurt victim, I have not been sniped in over a month because I am careful, so maybe they do provide a service by teaching new spawns the importance of stealth and avoiding stupid places like Cherno and Elektro (the only useful gear is medical, and Berenzino has a hospital that is far less sketchy). See you at the NWAF and Stary where high level bandits do their thing.

I agree with you to a point, I hate snipers because it is incredibly unrealistic to have guys up on a hill going full sociopath just for the lulz. I do not begrudge your choice to snipe, nor do I want to see it removed, I just think you are cheap for doing it especially to the new spawns that inhabit Cherno. I am fully geared (except rangefinder) with a M240 as primary, M9 SD as secondary, and M14 AIM as my backup and I walked into Cherno on a medium populated server (after taking out some snipers in the hills so it was safe) just to see what type of threat there was. Some unlucky guy spawned into the hospital but only had an axe, when I told him to leave he ran at me and was quickly killed. Next a guy took a potshot (and hit me) from the second floor of the fire station and was quickly killed as well. Finally some guy came running by and was too slow in responding and was shot (I was going to let him live but about 30 zombies agroed so they got to feed on him). It was fun, but I felt somewhat bad for offing three low tier players with my vastly superior weapons. I have no idea how someone can truly find it challenging or fun to sit on a hill and snipe those running around with makarov's. I guess to each his own. But I do agree with your overall theme of without player kills this game would be boring.

It is like you can see into my mind. No I hate script kiddies but lately I have either had excellent luck or noticed a decline in hackers. They still pop up and I am sure plenty are using incognito hacks like player and loot locators, but I have not had an axe murderer with a jason mask chase me for over two weeks and no thunder dome either. One of the reasons the game had to go stand alone (well besides profit) was so something could be done with the hacking problem. As it stands you are still playing a slightly modified version of Arma OA which is easy to script with. They can not change everything about that source code because it could break other mod's or the game itself, so until they have a standalone that can be locked down there will be hackers and you are not going to have a good time, mmmkay. Some are going to be disappointed to find the standalone will release as a somewhat boring upgrade to the mod, the good part is hacking and large bugs should be worked out (at least I truly hope so).

Besides the hacker part I think you are just butthurt that you suck at the game. "Why are people so mean to me, I call out friendly and do the friendly dance."

Yea those guys are cheap dupers. Whenever I raided they would just server restart. It is in the dumbest place to put a base.

On of my funniest moments in this game was when I finally found my first pair of nvg in the barracks and then broke my leg opening a door. I then crawled out and was sniped on my way to meeting with my buddy.

Never trust a hacker, there is a life lesson for you right there. You knew they were both scum of the Earth dupers and had a scum of the Earth script kiddie rolling with them. Should have killed them from the start instead of trying to play nice with some douchebag cheaters. Next time you try to group up with people you will know to open fire (especially with the MK you could have mowed down everyone within seconds) the second you hear one of them ask to duplicate gear.

Is this the wild claims thread, I once killed an entire group of five high level players all geared up with only a crowbar. I will post a video later of this exploit but in the mean time just leave me all of your beans.

Spider, he might have a server based on some of his other threads. In this thread he did not let his true admin abuses slip until later posts. This guy admits in this thread and others (checked his profile to see if he let the server name slip so I could report for blacklisting) that he is a textbook cheater. He openly admits to every form of admin abuse (locking servers, shutting down server when not on, server restarts to keep his precious carebear loot), he admits to being a dirty duper, and openly admits to server hoping and ghosting other players. Essentially he represents everything wrong with this game and his epic douchebaggery will go down in Dayz history as the moron who sucks so much at this game that he needs to cheat.

Post the server that you admin so people can fuck you up for being scum of the Earth.

You are an idiot if you think downloading a mapping tool is okay. The vehicles do not belong to just one group and the the mapping tool is an incredibly cheap way of finding out where others stash their vehicles and gear. This tool alone has made me want to quit Dayz, what is the point to setting up a hidden camp when some stupid little script kiddie can just see your tents and vehicle on their map.

When I lost my bike to most likely a script kiddie I was so pissed I almost stopped playing. I have lost three vehicles in a obscure spots on a low population server, then I looked up map hacks and was surprised to find out there is a player locator script, a vehicle locator script, and a tent locator script. This game is incredibly broken when a bike hidden in a Bush on the Western edge of the map is vulnerable to theft.

You are an idiot if you think server hoping and ghosting are "playstyles." Both of those represent cheating, what Rocket was talking about was spying, banditry, groups, survivors, meta gaming, and other legitimate game styles that are not founded on exploiting a mechanic. While I think snipers camping new spawns is incredibly cheap (when I spawn nearby due to spawn bug I always take a look at sniper spots and will shoot anyone I see sniping), it is also very cheap to server hop to get sniper kills. Sure the person you kill lacks honor, but now so do you so I am unsure who is worse.

Question, how do you know they were hacking. Otherwise that was some funny shit they really did suck at shooting. Best part was where you jacked a weapon out of the backpack to murder the person with. This person not only sucks at shooting but apparently they are too stupid to at least keep moving away from an unarmed survivor.

Dayz Commander is way better than Six Launcher, although i have yet to try the new Six Play tool and could not compare the two. No problems so far, but the getting stuck on loading issue probably has nothing to do with what programs launches the game.

If you accidentally do anything in this game it is not cheap or an exploit, I have accidentally duped gear just moving it around but that is not the same as using a glitch to exploit (the entire reason it is aptly named an exploit is because you are using an in game mechanic or glitch to gain an unfair advantage). So if I am walking and accidentally see into a building I did not just exploit, I was just a witness to one of DayZ's many bugs. If I go up to walls trying to purposefully see through them then I am exploiting an in game mechanic. The problem you seem to have is you still think YOUR OPINION on how this game should be played matters more than others. Lets just start off with simple economics, the game developers are not going to risk losing a decent chunk of people who prefer 3rd person (checked on Dayz commander 68% of servers have it enabled). Even if it is only 10% of the player base who actually will not adjust to the change, that is still enough not to risk that when there is already a solution to your problem. As it stands you are losing in the marketplace of ideas, but you still have the option play in servers where it is disabled. The fact that you think your play style is special and trumps others is just an indication of your feeling of self entitlement (was going to say douchebagery). I am fine with your opinion, I just hate the fact that your opinion should translate into barring all other players from enjoying the game as they want to. Just to make it clear I actually like FP servers from time to time and agree they are harder, but not more realistic (just my opinion there, see my next sentence is not going to be about barring you from playing in first person servers). The video you posted explained my position best on 3rd person vs. first person, both are imperfect and first person is not necessarily more realistic overall due to the lack of spatial awareness, very limited field of view, lack of intuitive movement to look around objects, etc. On the flip side 3rd person is also very imperfect, while you gain back an understanding of how your body moves in space, you also get to see areas that you would never realistically see (although realistically you would easily be able to tell a groaning zombie was two feet behind you due to echo location and other senses missing in any video game). At the end of the day you still have the option, so why on Earth do you think others should be forced to play the exact same way? I know TL/DR
