Brush yourself off and go find another vehicle and gear. Sucks but focusing on the loss will only make it sting more, take it from someone who has lost his fair share of awesome vehicles to bugs.

Grocery stores always seem to yield maps, go to one of the ones up North. Zelenogorsk has a good one at the South end, scan the town for zombies and if it is clear just run in and check. No need to go to big coastal cities in this game unless you want some PVP action or a sniper shot to the head.

This forum hates on everything, they hate rocket, they hate survivors, they hate bandits, they hate snipers, they hate light machine guns, they hate tents, they hate stories, and they hate you/me/everyone. Everyone thinks the way they play is the one "true" way to play and all other playstyles should just go back to CoD or left 4 dead. As long as you are playing legit then there is no reason for anyone to be mad, so try not to pull purposeful dupes (tent issue was not really the persons fault unless they started to exploit the issue, but with a month and a half wait time on a fix who cares) and definitely do not become a scum of the earth scripter. Other than that take forum responses (including mine) with a grain of salt, who cares if some idiot thinks you are playing the game wrong.

Griefing is allowed, sure it is a dick move but it is not cheating.

So you necro posted, read the dates on a thread before posting man. It is not a Trojan, bitdefender is just flagging the program. Take the advice of the community, it is not a virus and it is better than the other launcher.

Just a quick question on gear, the radio is always hacked right? Now for the story behind the question (if interested). Killed a guy on Lingor last night and his entire crew had hacked items in their inventory (their story was a santa hacker had given them all gifts) and I picked up the radio and a hacked in .50 cal that I am going to destroy once I enter the game again. This group sucked so much that they walk up on my group pointing flashlights and lighting fires (we were bored waiting for a friend who was AFK) and were unable to be the first ones to shoot. I happened to do a scan with my L85 (legit heli crash) and saw one of them looking right back at me. It was night and we did not have NVG, but I dropped the guy and went to loot the body. As I was looting I was hit by a sniper rifle with a very strange sound, it was instant death and I figured AS50 but it just sounded wrong. Once again this team with L85, NVG, range finders, Makarov SD (I will say why, if you are going to take hacked gear at least take good gear), and hacked in sniper rifles was unable to contain the three other players in my group (two of my group are terrible at this game) and they took another death and the last one was able to make it to his SUV and drive off. My group loots the two bodies and mine and finds radios (hacked), all tools, PDW SD, Makarov SD, hacked M4 variant, and the topper the L115 sniper rifle which I had no idea even existed. Over side chat I laughed at the guys for sucking and asked if they had shot me with that hacked 50 cal, at this point they all started to whine that we had a map hack on due to seeing them (do not stand in the open, even at night you never know who has thermal). Then my group all sets a town to meet up at so I could gear up off the items from the dead players and we run into one of them in the town who then claims we teleported. I was able to get my L85 back and while I took the L115 out of curiosity (wanted to see the optics and how it performed) I will end up destroying it on login and will not use it against any players. We destroyed the bodies (which they did not appreciate) and stole all legitimate gear from them, but I am wondering what to do with the radios. Long story short what the hell is wrong with people, we did not even bitch about these idiots obviously cheating and they turn around and call hacker. Picked up obviously hacked gear and I am going to destroy the weapons that do not belong, but since the radio has no function I almost want to keep it as a badge of honor, what would you do with the radio?

Yea like I said I am fairly sure it is hacked, I think I am leaning toward dropping it over being called a hacker when I am not.

I will never love paragraphs. I could care less how other players play this game, that should not influence my decision and I have a personal objective to play this game in a fairly legit fashion. I do not rage on others (I did actually laugh with the cheaters on side chat and never once whined about dying from a hacked gun) about these issues because it does no good. The reason I am even considering holding onto the radio is it takes up the last tool slot (so no wasted inventory space) and can not be used against other players. I am not saying I am perfect because I will be keeping the NVG and rangefinder, but I do not like keeping hacked weapons (especially the super cheap AS50 TWS) so I will be destroying every weapon, once again just personal preference. Mainly I found it funny to be called a cheater by a group full of cheaters.

This is the guy I was talking about, some self entitled asshat who thinks this game is finished. Who gives a shit about your gear and tents, cry me a river I have lost so much stuff and never whine like an idiot. The vehicle issue is a pain but if they ever fixed the debug plains and forest and wiped any gear stored there this problem would not exist (you would just find more vehicles stored on the map). Finally, nobody gives two shits that you were killed by someone, brush yourself off and go gear up or quit. Met at least one last night (teleported to our location and I know this because I watched him appear and head straight for us) and then was killed by a L115 (hacked sniper rifle) and once again know this for a fact because we killed two in the group (including the sniper) and found all hacked weapons. Still happens but admins can ban without all the fuss.

The good feelings from this community will be short lived, but I do agree that despite the giant asshats that inhabit this forum they should attempt to be a little better at communication. But I I also know that a good portion of the forum just likes to whine and feels as though this game should be finished when they want it finished.

Private servers. That is all I will say. Now on the the OP, every hacker is scum of the earth regardless of their lame ass reasons that they give you. I have met these types of morons before and they do not just hack hackers, they hack legitimate bandits as well because they are butthurt carebears who could not take the PVP aspect of this game. I met a group of hackers and they claimed they were hunting other hackers, but they tended to just call out bandits on their map hack, teleport, and then murder people who were playing legitimately. I know they were not hacking because they ended up killing one of my friends on the server who was a bandit who has never once hacked in the game. Like I always do I waited until they all came back, struck up a friendly conversation, and then threw down a satchel charge when they were distracted and there was three less hackers for thirty seconds.

The community needs to calm down when we see posts like this that are just trying to rally a group, it is a community message board at the end of the day. As long as people are not crying a ton, what is the harm? Sure I would not make a call to arms post, but I have IRL friends to murder other people with on this game.

Always take awhile for the community to update, some are in the wait and see approach while others want to give their players a little time to update as well. Hopefully this patch fixes many of the issues, but I am a patient man who never minded playing around the problems.

Reading the radio silence post by Rocket led me to believe this patch was going to be delayed so I am definitely happy to see a patch at this point. Here is to hoping vehicle problems and graphic glitches are a thing of the past (never really cared about tents). Edit: Everyone should use Dayz Commander to update in the easiest fashion available, come on guys SixLauncher (Six Play, who cares still hate it) is a POS. Re-Edit: Blood issue sucks, I have always been bad at spotting bleeding even with the blinking cross so I am sure I will lose blood from my own stupidity, but then again that sounds like my problem and not the games.

That is too bad. As a player I enjoy their private hive for Lingor so I give them props on that, but it does not sound like they have a good grasp on how to address customer issues.

In PVP the M240 does extreme damage (8000 blood per round, so hit them twice they are gone), but for PVE the M4 CCO SD is a pretty awesome gun. The M240 and MK Mod are my two favorite guns in this game so I would take the M240 (or with Alice pack just keep both I am not a sniper), but it really does matter what you are planning to do. With an M9 SD I would have made the same choice and never thought twice.

No, that penalty is about five minutes and I had it happen in the last week and it lasted five minutes or so (before people say I combat logged I was shot and then kicked by Battleye for one of the script restrictions despite not doing anything wrong). I also stopped bleeding because I walked away thinking I was going to die and came back to 8K health and no bleeding.

Make them much stronger too, currently zombie slaps are no big deal.

Uh, you do know about the body dupe right? He said they were 2 people and at the end he says 4 bodies, English is not the OP's first language (it shows but I can bet that most Americans would be unable to string together two sentences in another language). Sure you should not log during combat and you should definitely not pull the full body dupe, but I understood what the poster meant.

If the story is true it made me laugh, I can be both friendly or completely evil in this game depending on my mood and have used deception quite a few times to get someone killed. One of my favorite pastimes is trying to team up with the guy who just tried to shoot me for no reason (most people are not good shots and if you zig zag and talk over direct chat they will stop, I usually just laugh about them missing and try to engage a conversation) and then place a satchel charge when the look away and detonate.

Please do not take the AS50 Thermal, it is so incredibly cheap. But if you want an honest answer the G36 SD is nothing special besides the look it has compared to the M4 CCO SD, while the AS50 Thermal is a big improvement on the regular gun due to the thermal scope making it insane.

I would have walked away, or at least acted like I was friendly and taken the shot minus the profanity. But with that set up I would have left to live another day man, sounds like he got exactly what he deserved and you guys were probably way too nice in the first place. As soon as I saw the profanity I would have shot and then laughed at how dumb the person had to be to not take the opportunity to walk away. Unrelated note I think I have played on the Lingor server you guys frequent (or run) a few times, I know I have seen the regulator group before. I am really loving side chat since it gives people an opportunity to actually play the game in a friendlier manner but I also learned my lesson on people calling out their position on side chat. Last night I trailed a group in an SUV that constantly was calling out that they were going to the prison, then watched a bandit toss a grenade into the barracks killing two of the people and the bandit combat logged after taking some shots. I thought that was everyone in the area and I walked in to loot and ran into the quiet third member and was so startled that I shot the person.

I will jump onto the server later tonight to check this out, also if someone dies I swear it was not me (what I will say in side chat 99% of the time I killed someone).

Yea I find them all over the place just never in the areas they are supposed to spawn.
