Found a bus in calamar (lingor's cherno) fixed it up for a road trip and go toward the north. Our group spots a player and kill him then I drive down a hill and flipped the bus onto its roof. It was really funny but kind of a bummer.

Someone left me a L85 in my tent after taking a vehicle, in my mind it was a fair trade.

As long as you can't bring your PVE character to a pvp server I could care less how you play.

I don't kill every zombie I see and usually try to just lose agro but your zombie kill numbers are really low. Don't you ever get bored and just kill some for fun? Otherwise good stuff man, I played the solo survivalist role for 28 days with only two player kills. A suggestion from a former survivalist, once you die try playing as a bandit for a couple of lives just to have the experience.

Most are not hackers. I actually read the post and it came off reasonable bit many probably read the title and figured it was a whine post. It was kind of a whine post but not that bad since the guy at least wants to come back once this problem is under control. I know I have been fairly frustrated a few times and gone a few days without wanting to play, but I have a high tolerance for the current problems because I still have hope that most will be addressed by the stand alone. I understand the frustration on both sides, it gets old to see the same post about hackers every other post and at the same time hackers are a fairly big problem. If you are going to play you might as well just laugh after death by hack and go back to gearing up, otherwise you are not going to have a good time.

Warz will not be better than the mod even, too cartoonish. Id rather be killed by hack everyday. Gambles I see your point on this and I have been trying not to be a dick in these goodbye threads as long as they are not whine threads. I have friends who stopped playing for the same reasons so I don't fault him for taking a break, but there are so many of these threads that a goodbye section should be added to the forum.

As long as it is not the cheap ass AS50 TWS do whatever you like, just know people will call you a hacker after they kill you.

Kick and look for hard evidence in the logs then ban if using a public server. Players act like one false kick is going to get a server blacklisted but they are not nearly that harsh. If you mess up on the kick then just rescind and apologize, most people will understand with the current state of hacking. Sorry for the derail but the other admin was the type that gives you decent guys a bad name. Be active and report any suspicious activity. Take notice of strange weapons and don't let scripted weapons slide, warn and kick for those weapons and cheaters will get the idea. I feel for you guys because you walk a fine line and people will complain either way.

Then stop complaining and just go full sissy and become a hacker. Either way it is cheating, really not understanding why you would still run a public server if you have this much rage about such a simple concept. Go private and no one can complain about your need to have an advantage, otherwise quit yer bitchin.

Google is your friend, you have enough knowledge to fire up your computer to play games and post on a forum, how can you not look past the first item on a Google search for Dayz. How many patients did you lose? This is horrible and why would you come on the Dayz mod to tell us that you have lost your patients, did they die or just wander off? (I read the other posts that pointed it out and just did not care, still wanted to make my dumb joke).

I picked the most ridiculous (how is an AKM a basic weapon with zeroing, full auto, and 8000 blood per hit damage), but starting with a weapon is such a low concern of mine regardless of the duping problem. We should only have this discussion if zombies are harder to deal with, otherwise the only people it helps are those brand new to the game.

Most of us are a mixture of all of these and I found some of the quickest on the draw were those complaining the loudest in side chat. It really depends on when you catch me, if I am alone and the situation is right I will be very friendly, if I am with my cruel IRL friends we will murder you, and if I am with a group of people I met elsewhere it is anyone's bet. I actually switch play style from time to time as a change up, so I have been called it all (note play style never includes hacking).

I used ad hominem but I never used reductio ad absurdum. If I did use reductio ad absurdum it was in response to your original use when comparing enjoying perma death to hating tents, they do not go hand in hand. If we use a realism argument and you argue that "permadeath" means character A is dead forever and you respawning is character B, then why would character A's stuff be gone in the first place? The come back to this is you as character B would never know where character A's tent was located, but it still does not change the fact that the gear would still be in character A's tent in this scenario. Then we get into a whole discussion on how there is a host of things character B would have no clue about without the knowledge you gained from being character A, so at the end of the day your logic is not sound. There is no such thing as perma death in Dayz because it is A GAME, but you get my beans for knowing the Latin logic terms (some of us have also gone to college). One thing I hate about these "logical fallacies" is they would make any debate pointless because almost everyone has to use a few of them to make a rational argument. How the hell is appealing to authority (which is accurately called citing a motherfucking source) a logical fallacy, alright end of rant.

Yea you are butthurt but there is a solution that you even mentioned, private server. Stop complaining and make the move, it sounds like you want all the power (especially that ridiculous part about taking all the vehicles, pretty much makes you the dick) and in a private server you will have far more power to do what you please. If you want an extremely low population then even add a password, but if you want actual players you might want to consider leaving it open for the public (unless you are able to drum up demand in another manner). Beyond that you do have a point (I know I was being a dick, but you sound like a dick so I matched the tone), you pay for the server so you should have slightly more control (not the vehicles) over access. I really do not see the benefit to having a public server at this point unless you truly believe in the alpha testing process, but there will always be those that stay public to provide data to the developers so you should be able to enjoy your purchase. PS. stop calling regular players leaches just because we do not want to pay $50 to $100 monthly to rent a server (you probably do not own it and are using a third party to set it up).

One little caveat because I am a huge believer in allowing all legitimate play , if you hoard the vehicles off the map then you are 100% cheating. It makes you a dick to do this in the first place, but being a dick is a huge part of this game so this is no different. But storing things in the debug plains or forest is straight up cheating and if there was a way to catch these idiots they should be banned from that server. I am hoping that a fix comes out eventually to stop people from logging out in these areas or saving a single shred of gear or vehicles. Otherwise, carry on I will eventually find your legitimate camp site so hoard away.

Was talking about the tent restart exploit, have not played vanilla Dayz since the hotfix so maybe I spoke too soon. What I said is still valid though, just try not to purposefully dupe which excludes the tent issue. As long as you are not setting up fields of tent with gear then you are not a purposeful duper. There is a huge difference between the tent dupe and the full body dupe, one can be done on accident quite easily while the other usually is on purpose (although i found out on accident about the body dupe). As always BazBake swoops in on his high horse to tell everyone else how the only pure way is his way. Tell me again how 3rd person is an exploit BazBake, I love hearing that one. Also when you die do you stop playing the game? No, well then you are not experiencing permadeath, so it is not that simple.

I hate you. Kidding but you had to be difficult huh? Was just saying people can insult bronies in plenty of other ways without resorting to bigotry in this case. People are bigger assholes to those in Ghillie suits, they think everyone who has one is a sniper or hacker. When I run into a town I often take my ghillie off, or he was trying to full body dupe.

No reason to drop the homophobic slur. Have some sense man, I curse but keep your racism and bigotry to yourself (I swear if one person says gay people are not a race I will flip my lid, I said racism AND bigotry and it would fall in the bigotry category). Other than that I have no idea what is up with the strange obsession with My Little Pony is (especially by straight males), but to each his own I am sure plenty of people question my love of a mod that is broken and full of scripters.

Yea that works when they have one piece of hacked gear or a loadout of hacked gear, not when you find an armory of hacked gear. This community is becoming increasingly stupid as the months drag on. I get that people call hacker all the time, thanks to side chat in most Lingor servers I have been called a hacker at least five times this week when I have never scripted a day in my life, but obvious hack is obvious.

Yea, because screw new content everyone should just tread water and not push the envelope (rolling my eyes as I type this, come on man).

We talking private server, Lingor, or vanilla Dayz? What about if I only feel bad after the murder but laugh during? I would love to dust off my regular character in Dayz and use some of this loot (or die, shit happens). Off tonight and all weekend, my profile has my Skype name. This always has to be said because it is Dayz, I am not some sociopath who would actually go on the forums to find a murder, I can find murders in game just fine.
