  1. What others said, I love high population servers but I really only go on as a fresh spawn due to these servers being hot spots for hackers. For me it has cooled down slightly, but I still spot obvious hackers on a weekly basis even on private severs (or obvious signs like SUV or gun boxes) . But hackusations are driving me crazy, every third kill I get seems to end in hackusations on private servers with side chat enabled. I get if we crossed path on some forest (although everyone runs through forests so it is somewhat common and I am always scanning), but in calamar (lingor's cherno) you expect other players. Not everyone teleported, many of you were either unlucky or careless. TL;DR Hackers are common but so are hackusations.
  2. Man I walked into an epic survivor versus bandit thread here, just a question for everyone how many of you have actually played both? I have tried to wear every hat in this game (besides cheater) and I can see the fun and drawbacks to all of them. As a lone wolf feral survivor I was mean when cornered but largely left people alone if possible, as a lone wolf bandit I would hunt people down, as a bandit group I would have fun hunting other groups with my friends, as a lone wolf hero well that one actually sucked and was the hardest of the bunch, and as a hero in a group it was both maddening and awesome at times to actually help those you did not know and protect Cherno from the never ending scourge of banditry. Through this process I have learned a great deal about what it takes to take on each role and I feel as though I have learned more than I ever could have without changing my style. I learned that bandits tend to get more santa hackers (hey want these weapons, nope but I will take that satchel charge to blow you up with) while hero's tend to get less hacker run ins.
  3. I think you missed the guys point, he was not saying it is admirable or noble to murder new spawns or that you should script and dupe, he was just saying that the game as it is now encourages PVP and KoS due to certain mechanics and lack of reasons to team up. If you have never played as a bandit I think you are missing out on an awesome feature of this game, and playing as a bandit does not mean you suddenly lose your moral compass for the game (I never take the AS50 TWS nor do I hill snipe new spawns in Cherno). I have played the survivor/hero role for over two months and it started to drag on me, so one night I help two guys with broken bones and even give them an engine part for their vehicle and in return they stalk me out of the city despite having been told clearly that I did not want them to follow me (had a Ural on the outskirts). I was frustrated with multiple fake friendlies in the past week and instead of my usual warning I went to cover and murdered both as they came around the corner, and frankly it was the most fun I had all that week. This one action changed my perspective and I decided to go on a bandit spree, and frankly I have enjoyed my play style. People will think I am a dick for saying this, but I usually do not need anything from the player I just killed. I try to hunt other bandits and people camping a location and I also keep my banditry to Lingor servers where gearing up is easy so killing someone is not nearly as terrible. I will let an unarmed or pistol carrying survivor carry on because that fight is not fair, but then again the fight I usually get in are rarely fair because it usually means I spotted you first and waited for a good opportunity. You say we can play the way we want, but then argue that one style of play is what the game is intended for while the others are just griefing. Logic fail, otherwise I have no problem being hunted down by a hero or survivor because that is how I used to play anyways and I see the fun in both play styles. If the game comes out with mechanics that encourage more cooperation I will most likely switch back to being friendly, but for now I will continue on my murder spree.

    Roll on....hack free zombie fun!?

I read the post and didn't go full fanboi, I acknowledged that as of today we have no clue wherever the stand alone will significantly address the bugs and hacks. Until WarZ has a playable alpha I will refrain from talking too much shit because I don't have enough information, nor will you catch me saying I know the stand alone will be better, I just have hope it will be better. Drop warz from the title if you are not trying to make a comparison and until stand alone you have two choices, deal with the bullshit or wait.

    Roll on....hack free zombie fun!?

This thread again, WarZ is a concept right now with very little gameplay available for public viewing, so you have no idea how that engine will work or what bugs will be present. You also have no idea whether or not the stand alone will fix many of the problems you listed, so both are somewhat unknown. The only difference is you can see where DayZ is going right now by playing a public Alpha of the game, you do not have that luxury with WarZ currently. I will refrain from mocking WarZ because once again we are not sure what features that game will live up to versus what will suck. So far I have noticed a game that looks quite like a generic FPS and it also looks like a Mod of War Inc., which is fine but it is not original. To your actual complaints, yes there are hackers genius thank you so much for the warning. Hackers will mostly likely remain a big problem until standalone due to the engine the Mod runs on, so either sack up and play or wait for the stand alone to see if problems are fixed. Now back to your deserved public shaming for actually saying something as stupid as WarZ will be better than DayZ since YOU CAN NOT PLAY WARZ RIGHT NOW ASSHAT.

    Cheating itself

Besides Battleye kicking players on Lingor for hooking up the military flashlight to their shoulder I can not think of anything battleye blocks that is legitimate. Side note, if on Lingor it is fun to tell people on side chat to put their flashlight on their shoulders, you will see a quick kick and a couple of minutes later the guy will come on side chat and laugh. It is kind of like the people who trick others into alt F4ing but far easier to do since most people know what alt F4 does.

Using Hacked Weapons May Give You Global Ban

I doubt Rocket said everyone should pick up cheap ass weapons like the AS50 Thermal and if he did I can say I do not agree with that sentiment. I have been on a bandit kick lately but I have some morals, that gun is cheap as hell and anyone who uses it is cheap as well.

Ha, you changed your avatar Angel and I did not recognize you at first, I would never expect you to change how you play because you are truly the one survivor I have heard who sticks to their code of honor. Usually I just see the hypocritical survivor who still shoots on sight quite often unless it is a certain type of situation, your story about not shooting someone at Stary that killed someone in your group made me want to keep up the good fight a little longer (at least I think it was you). I did not really become jaded, I frankly just got bored and the risk analysis for being a "hero" seemed too great with minimal payoff. I have been playing as a quasi bandit for about three weeks now and have been enjoying my time on the dark side. I am a big believer in trying out all play styles and I think bandit is just my latest kick, but most of my banditry has been reserved for Lingor where you really do not have to feel badly because there is so many military spawn points who cares if I just separated you from an AKM when you will find another within 30 minutes. Come to think of it I have not been player hunting successfully in Chernarus since making the switch, I went to the NWAF to hunt some players this week and was shot by what I assume was an AS50 TWS since it was night and the guy was way too far to see me with normal optics (I could see him with my legit L85, but it happened so fast and I was moving in trees that it had to be the cheap one). Got extremely lucky and found a Ural when I spawned with gear so just took it out to the woods and made a camp, mostly been playing Lingor for my banditry since it feels less mean.
  9. Just not true, I spend most of my time im the north and I average one downed chopper with loot a week. The downed choppers are fresh military crash sites while the barracks are a fixed location that survivors have been looting, so in terms of realism the helicopter crash should have better gear. I guess I could find more if I was setting out to find them, but after getting basic gear a player kill or two usually does the trick so I am rarely going on missions to find a crash site. The high tier loot problem is not really a product if helicopter crash sites, dupers and scripters are the main culprit.

Your friend used a script, deal with it.

One of the reasons I dropped the friendly survivor routine was due to multiple vehicle losses from people I was attempting to save or had already saved. I even changed tactics and would park far away to discourage vehicle theft/destruction and was followed by two in people in a group (which I noticed they were not that sly) I had just helped and were told that under no circumstances were they to follow me out of town. Normally I would have warned them over direct chat but my group had lost two offroad pickups in the last day and over that week three of us had been murdered including myself after, yes after, helping so called friendlies, so on this day I took my first step toward banditry when I ducked behind cover and destroyed these two guys as they came around a corner. Since then I have been a bandit with a conscience if you will, never murder new spawns and try to go after well armed groups that look like they are camping an area. A note about the skins, they are insanely broken. I can not keep my bandit skin due to the glitch and at this point it is not counting my murders properly either. You will see very few bandits because it requires two kills in quick succession but not back to back, I have even walked around at -1550 humanity with my survivor skin pissed that I did not earn my towel.

    Lingor Island, Hacked weapons already

    I necro posted, my bad.
  13. Zombie Jesus

bye bye hackers ... you will not be missed

Yea thousands of "innocent" scripters were banned, asshat.
  14. Zombie Jesus

    What would you do?`

Would have shot anyways, lack of end game content makes murder the only fun thing left to do. As you can tell I have gone full bandit from just being a hypocritical survivor.
  15. Zombie Jesus

    Engine parts?

I will trade you and engine for the rest of the vehicle.
  16. Zombie Jesus

    Anti-hacker hackers?

Have done this very thing before, had a testimonial on a *** video that said it worked 100% when it has been detectable for about a month now. Some guy came on a day latter to complain and I had one of those moments of satisfaction knowing I helped trick some idiot into a global ban.

Nice to know that 2,000 bans do nothing

Dreaded double post, give me beans mofo.

Nice to know that 2,000 bans do nothing

It is not fine, it is called cheating and is frowned upon in every culture. If you hack just come out and say I suck at this game and have no other option but to be cheap, otherwise be like the rest of us and go gear yourself up by murdering someone, finding loot piles, or finding a tent. I used to try to be 100% legit and only use gear from loot spawns, but that got old after dying from hackers so I have relaxed my rules to include gear from players (not the hacked AS50 TWS though, shit is cheap) and gear from players tents (probably duped or is a never ending tent). Sack up dude, or cheat like a sissy your choice.

Nice to know that 2,000 bans do nothing

Only good part of that post was the comparison to an abusive husband (the game) and the wife being the legitimate player (it will be different this time I swear, he has changed can you not see it). Other than that hackers are going to hack, try not to let it get to you this much because it will most likely happen again. You never see me coming on here complaining about the four people who combat logged on me last night, because whining about it is not nearly as much fun as finding the next victim. I also get killed by hackers especially since switching over to banditry (meaning my theory is correct, most are butthurt care bears angry at player kills), but once again I just accept that it happens and move on. Instead of logging off the server last time I ran North of Kamyshovo and find a Ural packed to the brim with high tier loot, I would have missed that golden opportunity if I had run to the forums to complain. The Mod as it is now is hard to police, if you are able to accept this fact you might still have some fun on the game. Edit: I can agree with the creative hacker sentiment, I was far less pissed to die to some skiddie who ran over three people on a bike with God mode on while playing welcome to the Jungle over direct chat than the guy who teleported behind me with God mode to shoot me. I laughed when the guy ran me over, still think he is scum of the Earth but at least he had some creativity.

    Tents still aren't fucking saving.

Probably still broken, but honestly all I ever cared about was vehicles saving properly. The gear on my back is enough for me and if my tent actually saves then I am playing with house money.

    New Ammo Glitch

Only time I have lost my pack was when I had recently changed it, so Venthos fix would probably work. Or just place your pack on the ground and then put on the new skin, you will get another pack that is empty but you can just ditch that one. Technically that is a "dupe" but since it is useful in avoiding another bug who technically cares.
  22. Zombie Jesus

    This hacking thing sounds interesting...

Who knows, you have the burner account so tell me how this normally goes? Edit: You have to really suck at this game if you are unable to find a simple AK74 or AKM to run around with. Go to a fire house or head north to loot deer stands, run back to cherno to your death for sucking.

    Lamest of the lame 'gamers'

Do not torture yourself by reading what the other side is engaged in, they are terrible people who do terrible terrible things. Well maybe they are just punk bitches who in real life would be slapped in the face for acting a fool, such is the curse of the interweb.

    Loaded Bandit Camp Coords!

Ha, never doing this again. Even if op wasn't setting a trap someone else will within 15 minutes of post. Watched from a distance one of these and there was five to six guys camping the spot.
