The problem is surviving just to survive gets boring. I have done the hero/survivor role and have recently moved to lingor banditry (made the decision to keep playing chernarus as a semi friendly player with hero skin) because I was bored. I don't snipe and I definitely don't hunt new spawns but I will shoot you on sight in lingor and then use your tears in side chat as my fuel to keep going. Stop walking g around the coast as a new spawn, learn the lesson and adapt or just don't be surprised. I will run into cherno as a new spawn (but avoid sniper hill) and of I die I could care less because I expect it and have nothing to lose.

I think I just got used to it but.for me it had better control, not as much muzzle climb as the mk.

My character got herpes on green mountain, so yea don't want to talk about it. I have been playing and have only been there twice and nothing interesting happened either time. Sadly no mountains dew ever, starting to think it is some elaborate inside joke.

If you actually have a satchel they are awesome, but like someone else said frag grenades are your friend and are quite common. But yea you lost that fight and should not have given him the advantage.

Ben_C if you are being honest then bravo, I commend that level of playing by the rules. I now take the death instead of being cheap, bit I still get that urge from time to time but I fight it. Playing legit feels better and I do it for myself not the guy who is trying to murder me. The reason I never rage is due to having done it myself, bit I am also surprised that it is not more widespread. I let a guy live two fays ago on lingor for not logging, I had him pinned in a corner and he had no idea where I was. I was waiting and after a couple of minutes asked on side chat if they logged and he stuck an arm out to show he didn't. I gave him props and walked away. Best advice to people is don't let it slide with friends on the game, at least call them out for being cheap that is what made me change.

As long as they are not in debug who cares? Grab a satchel and start greifing. .

Edit: your logic makes no sense, if you can get fully kitted that fast why hack or dupe in the first place? Just get a player kill and move on. Also set up two campsites if you are going to post an epic whine about losing a single tent.

Make sure the ground is not raised because it will sink through the floor, otherwise I have set up tents in many buildings (when tents were broken I would just set them up to do it and put a piece of meat in there).

I love this gun and will drop an AS50 just to have it (but then again I do not really enjoy sniping). It is almost a good luck charm for me, whenever I get into a close range firefight with it I win, it really is underrated as a weapon and like you said you find ammo everywhere and the optics make it a great medium range weapon. Edit: Nice to see other fans of the gun and that people also pick up ammo hoping they find the matching gun (whenever I find M240 rounds I always pick it up hoping I find a MK or M240 to go with it, it never works though).

I will trade one bullet for everything in your inventory.

That list is going to be insanely long. I don't love to admit this on the forums but I logged a few times as a newb and I suspect many on here have done it once or twice themselves. Some people even try to make up phantom hackers, I only logged cause some guy teleported. You ask did you see them suddenly appear and they will say no but then follow with "I had checked around and suddenly there was shooting. " Don't get me wrong logging is a sissy move and I am aware those three logs in my first two weeks were cheap, but I also don't let it bother me too much when it happens.

Yea you have a point there, but I did agree with your original point that people should give Arma 2 OA a try or try out some of the mods that are available. I really do enjoy the game but I have had some run ins with Armaholics who are incredibly douchey about the game, they start out by complaining that I do not know what I am doing and when I told them in a calm rational way that I was new they started complaining about Dayz kids. I am not some child and I am learning the game, if you want to whine that your game is slighted and not enough people play it how about not being a jackass when someone who is not annoying just wants to learn the game? Other than that I enjoy the game and mods, I am also looking forward to Arma 3 releasing so I can get in on the ground floor and not be a newb joining a insular community three years after the original game was released. DayZ's popularity will make people look harder at Arma which is good for the game's future, despite what some of the more pretentious Arma fans think.

After playing Lingor I would love to see more loot spawns to thin out the player concentration at Cherno, NWAF, and Stary (on a related note why do people go to Electro, if I spawn East of it I might as well head to safer pastures in Berenzino). I am not saying they should have military barracks everywhere like in Lingor, but maybe some checkpoints with some military gear or fire stations in some Northern cities. Give players a reason to actually head to the NEAF or anywhere in the North East because currently you only go there for vehicle spawns and to remain somewhat safe. It sounds like they are close to a working alpha for the stand alone though, I think it would be reasonable to hope for the end of the year around November for a release. It will not be completely done, but it sounds like it will be a work in progress like the Minecraft model (I know how tired are we of hearing Alpha, mod, and Minecraft model).

That doesn't sound game altering, I usually can find stuff pretty quickly but I am starting to think the admin overstated the impact. Like I said I don't use hacked in items that don't belong (meaning I have no clue if that regular AS50 was hacked but I wont touch the AS50 AWS) I am just curious. I have looked up what hackers are capable of to minimize my chances of falling prey to their douchebaggery.

Now all I can think about is what is the hack he was referencing, Google was not much help either. Stupid admin why even mention it if it is not part of the discussion, I would never cheat but I am sure others jumped to the interweb to figure out what game changing hack it adds to your character. Then again he is just a forum admin so who knows if the person is just talking out their ass, but having hacked items can earn you a server ban so I steer clear.

Yea. But I did find out that zombies tend to walk on water for a little on lingor and it ended up seriously wounding me and a buddy. Zombies jesus will rise and bring his wrath on all those who persecuted him.

Should of had ghillie's on then they could have just laid in a bush with no one being able to spot them.

I've played arma 2 and some of the mods since buying it and as long as I have buddies with me it is fine, otherwise I have to put up with the douchebaggery of the arma community all by myself. They whine that no one ever gave the game a chance and turn around and whine about the Dayz kiddies running around.
