Probably nerves if it only happens in those situations. Whenever I win a big hand in Texas hold em I get the same shakes. It usually happens to me right after a moment of being hyper alert (so combat in this game and during betting in poker), so I wouldn't jump straight to serious medical condition unless it happens when there is no excitement. Bunch of hypochondriacs in this thread.

I have to say Rocket is dropping some specifics in his allotted forum time this week, also I had no idea the guys arrested in Greece worked on Chernarus plus, that whole situation sucks a whole bag of dicks. Got a great answer in another hacker thread on the steps being taken to combat hacking in the standalone, glad I took this time to slack off at work to post on the forums today because I got some decent information. I will post his answer here because it seems relevant to the discussion at hand.

Until server restart, but sometimes they sink into the ground depending on how you disconnected. I have made the run from the East Coast to Vybor, stopping for basic gear set up of course, to find my body. If you died in a high population area just give up, also you run the risk of the hacker pulling the double dick move of hiding your body.

Why does everyone insist on claiming Private Hives are hacker free, I will admit that they seem to have less problems and hackers are quickly kicked and banned from the server but it still happens frequently. I played three games on Saturday and had hacker encounters in all three, I played Takistan Dayz and saw someone teleport a plane away then teleport everyone into the air for an awesome death fall (server admin caught it in time and everyone walked away with all their gear intact), played Dayz Lingor and had an epic hacker encounter where he failed at killing me on three occasions, and then played Takistan Life (not Dayz but still private server using ArmA2 mod) and saw the whole server die to air teleport (parachute deployed but I got hit by a falling helicopter). It is too easy to script in this game and will remain a huge problem until a less script friendly game is released (stand alone), even then you will still see occasional hacking because this is how PC gaming works.

His details are that he is whining, he is the guy who complains about the rain in Seattle.

This myth reminds me of the Grapes of Wrath, I hear there is work out in California has turned into I hear there is a tropical paradise with no hackers out in Lingor. Hackers are going to hack, but private hives usually have better admins who are not constrained by the man (I see you in this thread Rocket, just kidding it seems like they relaxed the rules on public hives for server admins) and can kick people for any suspicious activity. Rocket summed it up nicely in the post above, but hacking will remain a fact of life for every PC game but ArmA2 has some specific issues that make hacking an epidemic. Hopefully standalone will greatly reduce the frequency and amount of hackers (scripters), but there is no paradise free of hackers in the current mod or in the standalone. Had to delete my game yesterday due to Battleye and a corrupted file so while I was waiting out the install I played some Battlefield 3 and guess what happened, hack attack.

Since hacking has become a fact of life I have decided to just laugh at their pathetic attempts at griefing, I refuse to get angry or butthurt with these guys because that is their aim. But I have had a few funny experiences with hackers. Was in Vybor one day and had a guy teleport to my group on a motorcycle and God mode, shot him about forty times with my M240 and he ran over all three of us and jumped off his bike and finished off my buddy then tried to shoot me (will admit I alt F4ed, still died passed out and bleeding but he did not get the kill). Had to laugh at that one because it caused complete chaos when he was driving around us for about a minute trying to hit us as we ran and shot at him (pretty sure I might have killed one of my group while spraying him). Had another a week ago in Lingor, was watching the prison and I see a bus parked out front but no zombie spawned, then the bus dissappears and I think great hacker on the server, what I did not notice was the fact that he had just teleported behind me and attempted to run me over but I was next to a tree so he hit that before he hit me. I ran around to the passenger side and opened up and he popped out and broke my leg as he emptied two clips. Over side chat I was laughing at how long it was taking a cheater to murder me and at this point he just laughed and left me there with 3K blood and a broken leg. Patched myself up and walked down the hill to find a hidden V35, typed over side chat what I had just found while also letting people know about the hacker in the bus and the thing teleports away right in front of me. To top it off I started talking shit about how terrible the guy was and he teleports to me again and proves that hackers just do not know how to shoot and wasted another three clips without one shot landing as a I zig zagged through a field. I left while I was still ahead at this point and aborted. Hands down the best run in was with some "friendly" hackers. They were spawning in vehicles and ammo boxes for people on the coast and I ran up to them and grabbed a satchel charge, when they were not looking I placed the satchel charge next to all three and added three murders to my count and quickly got off the server.

Did you really just make me watch your loading screen? But I have seen the same thing on the coast in Utes, they were moving around and I was able to kill them (of course I killed them they were just standing there looking creepy). No death messages and I just walked away chalking it up to hackers.

Impressive, but I am not seeing any satchel charges which means you still have a bonus level to complete. Edti: My home server is shutting down so I have been making ridiculously unbalanced trades for weapons the last couple of days to bleed off some of my campsites and my Ural (which I am bummed to be losing, she served me well). Yesterday I traded an engine and SVD Camo for a basic toolbelt loadout (hatchet, matches, map, and compass) because I glitch died and needed these items but have a wealth of other items. People calling scripter are being stupid (plus it would be duper not scripter), a good chunk of my gear (lost count but probably have 6 AS50's, 5 L85's, 3 SVD camo, 3 MK Mod's, too many NVG, Rangefinders, GPS, M4 CCO SDs, etc) was found at heli crash sites and NWAF, but the other half comes from the Ural I found weeks ago that was loaded to the brim with high tier loot.

I have broken my legs in many situations that seemed stupid (doors, gates, laying down, rocks, tiny falls, etc.) so when I feel off the railing on the third floor of an industrial complex (the one near kamyshova) I figured I was about to be destroyed. But I somehow only passed out and started to bleed, I like to think it is payback for the rock that murdered my 28 day character.

With all the maps out (two good ones and two that I hate with a burning passion, looking at you Takistan) servers are going to put the map name in the title far more often.

I will trade you an AS50 for a MK Mod with ammo (two boxes should do it, I have four clips for the AS50). If you need more I can probably spare something else. PM me if you want to make a trade. Edit: Just so you know I definitely do not have the AS50 TWS (the thermal scoped one, too cheap for my tastes). Edit: I also have some other awesome loot but my two favorite guns in the game hands down are the M240 and MK Mod. So even if you trade for another sniper rifle I bet someone could use a L85 or some rare kit items. If you have a satchel I will literally give you everything my character has.

So this glitch has happened to me twice in the past couple of weeks and I was wondering if anyone knew why. First it happened on Lingor Vilayer hive and I just chalked it up to a strange glitch and never thought about it again, but then it happened on the public hive servers for Chernarus last night. I was moving my tents to a new server (server shuts down on 9/22/2012 or for the European gamers 22.9.2012) but I was careful to only do one server hop every half hour or so. I was prepared for the beach spawn glitch, but with all the gear I had it was just going to be annoying to get back and not impossible (had map, GPS, NVG, soda, and plenty of food for any long run). I log out and go to another server and while loading I see Zombie Jesus has been killed (or whatever it says in the corner) and I quickly logged out of the server. It was low population and the odds of one of the two people being in the Western forest was absurdly low and considering these same two had been there for quite some time without a hack attack it was most likely not a hacker. When I logged into the server I was on the coast (lucky for me it as Balota, not that far from the camp site) in a ghillie with no backpack, flashlight, or painkillers. I also never got an option to chose the gender so I thought it was some random glitch. Make the long run (found a bike halfway which was awesome) back to the campsite to regear and what do I find, my dead body. I am hoping this is not that common, but considering I have experienced this twice I was just wondering if anyone else has experience with this glitch. TL:DR logged into a server and saw a death message for my character, relogged and found myself on the beach with my ghillie still on but no gear at all (I mean nothing) and then found my body where I should have logged in.

Yea I am hoping it doesn't become common and I am not even that mad since I was able to gear up off my dead body, but it sucks that it might happen again at some point. I can deal with a random beach spawn (also I didn't alt F4 from loading screen either time, I forgot to mention it) but a glitch death is annoying.

You do not need to dupe ammo to survive the current zombies, you just have to look for a building with two entrances, run inside and wait for a couple of seconds and then run out the other door. It really is that simple so without a fix zombies will remain pathetic and easy even with zero ammo.

As a group you will be murdered far more often and you will attract the notice of other groups, especially bandits. Also Cherno is a place for murder, so you will most likely run into trouble in that city if you spend a large amount of time there. If you are interested in messing around in Cherno you should clear sniper hill first by coming into the city from the North, then check high ground spots for other snipers. After this you should leave at least one member on overwatch and since it is Cherno you should really leave two people on overwatch, one watching around you and the other looking for recently logged in snipers or people coming up on the hill. Even with these precautions you still might run into a close combat camper, the type who sits in a building near the market or firestation waiting to burst out and get a murder.

They are lying if they say that, was hacked in takistan and lingor over the weekend, helped catch one in lingor and the guy was banned from server and report sent to battleye. Only difference is admits can kick and ban players for suspicion and don't need hard proof.

LIngor is a fun casual map, Have not been sniped too much but it is geared to PVP with a ton of military spawns. The original post was talking about Takistan Life, which is an insanely fun mod that is completely unrelated to Dayz. The Takistan Dayz Map is the map used on Takistan Life, and it works great in that setting (where you can harvest heroin, marijuana, coca, and lsd to sell to generate cash for your gang). You start out with money to buy vehicles and weapons and then can do a variety of missions in a multiplayer setting with very few safe zones. Tons of vehicles and guns to mess with, along with objectives and is a very fun mod but very different from Dayz. You are correct that the Takistan Dayz servers are insanely boring and dull, especially given the fact that you must run to get anywhere and the desert landscape gets old very fast when not in a vehicle. Edit: Just read the title and apparently the OP is just being vague by calling it Dayz Takistan Life, Takistan Life is a mod running on the Takistan server and he should just call it Dayz Takistan.

I find it impossible to keep my bandit skin while playing as a bandit on lingor, you must have killed two or more people in quick succession to pull that off.

Yea some people advocate breaking arma to fix dayz without realizing the same weakness that makes it easy to inject scripts is the strength that led to dayz and other awesome mods (takistan life comes to mind). Dayz is a victim of its own success, with so many players coupled with arma script friendly platform attracted scripters. It seems like this will just persist until standalone is able to reduce the problem (hackers will always hack, but it will be harder and easier to detect).

Yes I will play the mod for community content like lingor, which I honestly love. Since the standalone has talked about not initially allowing user generated content I think there will still be a place for experimentation with the current mod. I will need my bandit fix in lingor but I plan to return to my friendly ways on the standalone.
