US 1100 on the road north of Kamyshovo, had just been killed by a sniper at the NWAF and was going to a tent I had and bam, fully fixed Ural packed with high level loot. Some would say destroy the vehicle and its questionable gear (no hacked weapons, I refuse to carry the thermal AS50), I said fuck it Dayz taketh and Dayz giveth away. I have a radio on Lingor and a server admin warned and kicked me for having it, I killed a guy with all hacked in gear (L115 .50 cal sniper, Makarov SD, radio, AS50 TWS, and I guess legit L85) and buried the body but took the radio as a trophy. Since it provides no advantage I really do not see the problem in carrying the item even though I agree with kicking players over items not in the Mod.

I think that might have been what he tried, I laughed my ass off when he took the death to test it out.

I think it is part of a larger glitch that can make you immortal, but I am prettily sure it is a rumor since my cheap (and stupid so probably did it wrong) buddy tried to pull it off and all it did was result in his death and my bandit kill count increasing.

Like I said it is the one gun that I do not have mags for, but yes I would easily trade that for a satchel charge. I will add you on skype when I get on in about an hour, if you can not do it today I am willing to do this at any time (well I work so not any time).

It is okay I have never found a DMR from a loot pile either. I only have one SVD camo and I am trying to trade it for a satchel charge as we speak but I have far too many AS50 newb cannons if you want one (it is not the hacked type, I refuse to be part of that problem). As long as you agree to not kill me and do the majority of the travel I will give it to you free of charge, that is if you can log into an East Coast server (from California and not sure how a UK server would run).

I once logged into a server with three other people south of Devil's castle in the forest and saw a player running by and shot him. He claimed hacker and I completely understood why he would think that, still laugh to this day at that poor guys misfortune.

Step one: be a care bear on a low population server. Step two: Be happy that your character just reached his twentieth day on Dayz after spawn. Step three: Gain false sense of security and get bored with low population server. Step four: Enter medium to high population server and get hack attacked within an hour and die. Step five: Rinse and repeat.

Hacking happens man, the sooner you learn to deal with that fact the sooner you will have fun PC gaming again. I get what you are saying here about Dayz having bigger consequences than a Battlefield 3 type game, but it still does not change the fact that hackers are gonna hack.

You are nicer than most for even trying to make contact in the first place, death is just part of the game and I am sure he just thought you were a hacker anyways. Considering how many ways there are to cheat in this game low level loot farming hardly qualifies the person for the cheater label (you did say NEAF right, that place has zero loot I would want in the first place). I barely consider server hopping to be cheating with the current state of hacking/duping.

It only happens on my first big hand and luckily it happens on a bluff and when I have a strong hand, but yea one of my friends noticed the tell and uses it against me quite often. I think it is a testament to how awesome this game is that it actually gives some players that adrenaline rush that causes this. I can not think of another game that makes me that nervous to die. I guess that is what comes with the fact that you lose everything on death, it sucks and is awesome all at the same time.

Server can and should give you an individual server ban, you can not get a global ban. If it is anything like the AS50 thermal newb cannon you should drop it in the name of fair play or forever be known as cheap player shooting people with a one shot thermal scope.

The level of hacking on this mod is absurdly high, but it has its roots in the ArmA2 engine being script friendly and can not really be addressed in the current mod. If there is a PC game that is completely hacker free let me know but every game I have ever played had some hacking (AKA scripting) involved. I rarely see it in Battlefield 3 but I took a forced break from Dayz just last night and encountered a hacker on one of my games. It will always suck to die by hack in this game due to the persistent characters, but hopefully the days of constant hacker incidents for players will come to an end with the release of a locked down standalone. I posted a very detailed response that Rocket gave me on this very subject in this thread, read it over and see if that sounds like something that will greatly reduce the amount of hacking. I honestly try not to think about this fact too often because it flat out depresses me to think about all the subtle hacks other players could be using. The only time I have ever seriously suspected one of these was when I was watching a guy from a bush (yea in third person deal with it purists) in a ghillie suit, he stops and then turns toward me and starts firing. How the hell did he know I was there, he might have caught a glimpse of me but I still have my doubts.

Vilayer has a hive and most of the Lingor Island servers are connected to that hive. Just look for Vilayer.com or Vilayer hive on the server title and those will transfer gear and log out information, the few truly independent servers will not save server to server. Good news is you can have multiple characters on any map thanks to the private server system, sucks if you do not like that server though.

I have one on lingor (got kicked for refusing to drop it once) and I have heard a few coordinates given, never had one in chernarus so can't speak to that experience.
