It is called exploiting, end of argument. Probably not as bad as duping which is normally done in remote areas where there is zero danger, but the player is just taking advantage of an in game mechanic. You could call coming back in ten minutes an exploit as well since in real life (hate realism arguments just using it to make a point) the gear would be gone.

I do not know how to feel about this, I never do it but it is not due to some quest for purism (like some of my previous habits like not using tents or looting other players tents that went out the window when I decided to have fun) it is due to extreme laziness. I am not really going to call it cheating because you can achieve the same result by server hopping or just walking away for ten minutes and coming back, just speeds up the process slightly. If anyone has been to the Southeast Airfield in Fallujah you know there is 30-35 barracks there and as I was looting them the other day I noticed five of them had loot piles at the end of the barrack. Had to laugh that this guy was actually loot piling on Fallujah, if you run to the other set of barracks to loot the entire area will refresh with new loot anyways. I should not be too mad at the guy because he left a M14 Aim in the building (one of my favorite guns) and then I found a MK in another (my favorite gun), man Fallujah is a weird place.

Who puts up a tent on Fallujah, serioiusly man there is gear everywhere just laugh and move on. Saw multiple people get killed by a hacker on Friday where he was flying jets into everything on the server and people took it far better than you did. Sucks to lose that sweet Osprey, but if you play the map more you will realize life is short so just try to have a good time while it lasts.

I will admit I have never found a legitimate can of mountain dew in this game. I play quite a bit and have found almost everything else from loot drops except this item. People will not believe this but I took a mountain dew from a scripter (he was crashing planes into people every couple of minutes on fallujah and I found his body next to one) and since logging off I lose all inventory items on log out (like the old swimming glitch). They are completely unrelated because it was my first time on this map, right?

Yea I am trying to justify being a Dick, but in reality he was just looking at us and probably would not have made the shot anyways. I figure these new maps are geared toward PVP, so as they say when in Rome go on psychopathic murder sprees (I think that is the saying).

Not really, pretty par for the course. I was playing fallujah yesterday and I saw a guy in the barracks at the airfield while my buddy and I circled above in a chopper. The guy called out friendly and I asked if he wanted me to take out some zombies with the machine gun and he said sure, I took out about 15 or twenty and the guy pops out with a sniper rifle pointed at us. Now he probably was just looking at us but I decided to light him up anyways. Now that is being an asshole.

I love it when people engage in combat first and then get mad when they lose, makes no sense whatsoever. Him asking who is that is definitely a capitol crime though.

Finding NVGs and .50 cals is most likely due to duping, not hacking. If you find hacker boxes, boats inland, teleporting players, or someone with God mode you have yourself a hacker.

I would not hold your breath for the WarZ coming out ultra soon, they have failed to meet every target date they have given (still waiting on the public beta that is available at the end of summer). If they meet the October release date they initially set I would be shocked, but I still think it might beat Dayz standalone as far as reaching the marketplace (because frankly that is their only hope, if they fail to do that they might as well pack it up).

What he said, there is not even screenshots for the game yet. If I had to bet on a digital game being available on Steam I would bet yes.

I found a server yesterday that literally had no loot dropping, all other servers were find except this one (can not remember the name though). I was on last night and found gear but unfortunately the vilayer hive hates my character and deletes all inventory items on logout.

Whoa man tell us how you really feel about it. They are being lazy with the maps but it still adds value to a mod that is mostly dead from the developers perspective and other people are welcome to try their hand at adding maps to the dayz mod (I really would love it if another group or independent modders tried their hand at this). The vehicles do not feel like Dayz, but who cares you can always play Chernarus if you want to be a purist (at least Lingor has different zombie models that fit). With that being said I had a ton of fun rolling around the streets in an armored Humvee and had an epic air battle with another helicopter on the map (I know go play ArmA2 but it was still awesome). I really want them to release some of the other maps as well, it breaks up the monotony of waiting for the standalone. To the original post, yes they should add some more spawn locations but there is another military base on the edge of town somewhere with barracks, I forget where it is but it has a decent amount of loot there. You can get incredible gear in one pass at the airfield, but you have to survive the multiple campers to even get there so good luck. I would not go that far.

Ban wave, couple of days of less hacking, new hacks come out, now rinse and repeat. The cycle of the Dayz mod.

So I have been playing the new map Fallujah that is available and I really like it, but I have a game breaking glitch that is driving me bat shit insane. Every time I log in I lose all of my inventory gear. So all sidearm mags, bandages, and main inventory is wiped on log out. My weapons, toolbelt, and backpack items remain but everything else is wiped and frankly this is the worst experience I have ever had on Dayz (have died twice to getting slapped by a zombie with full health thanks to not having bandages). I have repaired ArmA2 OA and ArmA2 in steam, I have downloaded the expansion and replaced it, and I have killed my character in hopes it would reset after my death (since then have died at least four more times). The only thing I have yet to try is deleting the games and downloading them again in Steam (that is how I fixed a battleye error), but I am starting to think it might persist on this map forever. Went to the Vilayer site and they do not have a link for customer service but I also doubt they will give a shit about my individual problem since I do not rent a server. If anyone has any experience with this bug help would be appreciated. I posted this in Troubleshooting but that place is a ghost town.

erocker, yea I think I will uninstall the mod and game tonight, already tried to repair them but it is every server on the vilayer hive for Fallujah (or at least I hope that is the only one, would rage quit the entire game if I had my Lingor and Chernarus gear wiped). I usually do not let bugs get to me (have had all of my gear wiped twice where you spawn on beach with only skin you were wearing and nothing else), but this one is not just a one and done deal and continues to make this map impossible to play. I lessened the pain by finding a Coyote Backpack, but it still sucks a ton to have to load it to capacity just to have some basic gear on log in.

Huey, Chinook, Osprey, C130 (plane), and little bird are air vehicles I have seen. I have seen a UAZ, an offroad with Dshk, and a Humvee with a .50 call machine gun are the vehicles I have seen (also an old bicycle). The vehicles with weapons are insane, you can easily take down a chopper with a Humvee.

I was on Dallas 420 last night and it is not a common glitch because out of my four friends I was the only one it was happening to. It is the vilayer hive and I really think they are just going to tell me to eat a dick but I will go ahead and try to find customer service for them as well. It is really making me even more nervous to see that I am the only one it is happening to, maybe when DayZ commander releases the download it might get better because currently I launch through the beta patch. Does anyone have the inventory glitch that makes it difficult to use items (I right click and item and the use bandage button is behind the inventory, I have to move the inventory to use an object). Also ghillie suit is broken for my character, man this fucking map has made my character a mess.

My wife just thinks it is stupid and thinks I am stupid for spending so much time playing it, so at least she is trying to see the fun. She could not even appreciate a helicopter battle I got into yesterday that ended up killing five people (A buddy and I from my chopper and three people in the other chopper). I get it when I am running through the forest but she could not even appreciate and awesome battle.

Yea it glitches when you log out in water, easy fix is to not log out while swimming (I know you did not mean to, I know about the glitch because my internet cut out while I was swimming so I feel your pain). On Fallujah this happens to me on every log in, so imagine feeling like this every time you try to play the game and you have my Fallujah experience.

Give up and find one of the many other ones, just be thankful you don't have my game breakimg glitch of deleting all my items not stored in my backpack on logout. In short Fuck fallujah (actually been having a great time but losing all my shit is getting very old).

Yea I was not suggesting that x amount of days should be implemented, just I could live with that outcome but not some hour countdown to reward lazy players. How have you never shot another player, I have had to kill at least four people in pure self defense so I am lost on how you manage to play the game without ever firing a shot. There are some private servers that enforce no PvP rules, but from what I understand it is insanely hard to enforce these rules and people still end up shooting each other frequently. With the lack of content I am still not sure how it could even be fun in the first place to PvE in this game, but to each his own (plus I do not have to worry here since Rocket already confirmed that is not his vision and there will be no place for it in standalone).
