At first the zombies will seem to be an omnipresent threat as they have will smell your farts from 80m's away and will gladly follow you from Cherno to Nw if you give them the chance. But once you'v been playing awhile and you realize the quirks of those omnipresent-physics-defying-bastards they stop becoming any more than an obstacle I realized this when I went to shoot a player in the head, and a zombie walked in ass in front of my sights; taking the bullet for him. Once I calmed down from the nerd-rage I remembered I was playing a zombie game.

Well, you could have tried to explain yourself to him and the other players on the servers... If you really care about being friendly, that is.

As much as I enjoy what I have created and what GMS is, it has simply gotten much to large for my tastes. Having grown to this size, it has become impossible for me to talk to people and remember who-is-who; some people may like this, but I don't. So i'm bidding GMS adieu, I hope that I can still visit from time to time; but for the most part i'm leaving GMS into the hands of the people who like doing me job anyway. It's not like i'm needed anymore anyway, have fun doing my job; those who enjoy it. Some one made a new thread because I apparently don't run my properly, it shouldn't be too hard to find cause' it has a zillion replies already.

Why would anyone quit when servers start presenting dayz the way it should be?

How long have you played? I have been playing DayZ for a very long time, however; I do not recall precisely how long. I have experience playing in both, solo, large squad, and small squad situations. I have played with end-game level loot, and am able to operate vehicles (including the infamous helicopter) How old are you? I’m 16 years old, and very relaxed/mature. How frequent do you play? Whenever I can, which is most days. I do however become bogged down with real life things at times. What role would you like to play? I generally have experience playing all types of roles, although I am skilled at inter-clan/squad espionage (scout/infiltration). Sniper rifles tend to work well in my hands, but I enjoy close ranged weapons as well. I use whatever I get my hands on: If it’s an as50 or an m16, fine by me. Can you pilot a heli, or drive a vehicle with a decent amount of skill? Yes, I can pilot the heli (quite well); and driving vehicles is not problem for me. Can you navigate the map? Yes, I can get around Chernarus quite easily. Other maps aren't a problem, but I’ll need to use the DB map. What area of the world do you live in? I live in FL, Usa. English is my first and only language. Tell us a bit about yourself. I’m a simple guy who is no stranger to DayZ. I have a lot of experience playing in groups (of all different sizes) and solo. I am a very self-sufficient player, who does not need to rely on others for support; but I am quick to offer my own. Generally I am friendly, outgoing, and always willing to teach less experienced players about the quirks of DayZ.

Obviously team killing is not acceptable. Final Question: If a team member killed a fellow team member and proceeded to loot the camp what would you do? Shoot on sight, no questions asked, do not collect 200$. I am aware that this happens in Day Z and that betrayal is the name of the game at times. This kind of conduct is obviously unacceptable.

This is an Arma 2 mission that gives you all the tools you need to improve your sniper-wielding fury.

Sometimes for loot, sometimes for trills. Stalking people for hours and patiently waiting for the absolute perfect moment to strike yields some of my most memorable Day Z moments.

While having every building lootable in the map seems fun at first, Lingor gets very old; very fast. I found myself wielding top tier weaponry before I even had ventured past the corner of the map I had spawned in. Lingor is easy, that's the bottom line here. And in my opinion, Day Z should not be easy. The fact that you are much much muuuuch less likely to have top-tier weapons within only an hour or so of play time is what I (personally) like about Chernarus. And what keeps me from ever playing other maps. Secondly, I don't think that Lingor really is the proper setting for Day Z. But again, that is simply my opinion.

Oh it is, rewarding as well. I logged off at a enemy's camp the other night (After looking threw his tents and finding nothing); and when I came back in the following day, I noticed a light just up the hill (it was night time). "Hmm" I thought to myself; "I wonder who that could be?" Venturing up the hill, I saw a Jeep parked carelessly with the headlights left on. "Oh, I could always use another once of these." I pondered. "And adding another to my personal collection will be all the more satisfying; knowing it was stolen from an enemy." So, I walked around to the driver's side of the vehicle, hatchet in hand. (I had been tipped off of the location just after I was beached from a firefight that went bad) "Oh look who it is!" I shout over direct as I hatchet the fully geared player to the ground. He had no time to react, as he was looking in the gear of the vehicle; so he tried to combat log. Luckily for me, (and unluckily for him) he had already sustained far to much damage to survive, and died as soon as he logged back in. I was accused of being a hacker for about 15 minutes until he was manual kicked for trying to use scripts himself.
