    You feel thirsty... FFFFFFF

Intriguing. I reported not being able to take a second drink direct from the well as a bug as it let me take a drink from it without a container initially o.O

    Post Your Gear So Far

I found an axe. 3 hours. I found an axe.

    First Player Encounter in DayZ

First I got punched out as soon as I spawned in. Second encounter I saved a guy from a zombie with my axe, he then proceeded to try and kill me. Try. Third I spot someone in a barn, walk right up to them as if they're frozen in headlights. I wave, they wave and then run like the wind out the back of the barn lol. Overall I'd say it's better than the mod so far, mostly though I think that's because people haven't got weapons or friends with weapons yet.

    Bad luck

I ran for 2 hours to where I would meet up with a friend the following night. There was only one other person on at the time. As dawn was breaking and I thought "the sky looks pretty" I get clipped in the leg by someone camping out in a deer stand. One broken leg, 2 AKM magazines, one morphine auto-injector, one bandage and one very swift body check and flee to a barn later, I logged off in safety on 3k health lol. He was still the only other person on the server and was nowhere near my position for most of the 2 hours. (Love the zombie counter, hate that there's a zombie counter). On the plus side I did meet up with a friend who gave me a gps for the first time in exchange for a kobra, post ArmaII weapon nerf. It would have been lucky for him if he didn't literally starve to death trying to loot cherno while I was asleep lol. The GPS must be blessed though, approaching a month alive with this character now lol. Actually that's not that bad in terms of luck. This other time I was scoping out elektro to see if it was safe to make a run on the fire station. As I decided it's safe enough and start putting the binoculars away the camera pans behind my character and I see a guy appear out of nowhere and start firing his silenced m4 into me. I managed to empty a PDW clip into him before I passed out. Woke up with just enough time to bandage myself before I passed out again and then bam out of nowhere and: You are dead. No idea what actually killed me, if the bang was the storm that was going on or someone spotted me with a gun. One thing I know for certain though; whoever killed me walked away with a metric fuck-tonne of awesome.

holy food and water requirements? Is this a bug?

I ran for 2 hours straight a few nights back, I drank before I started and I needed a drink after I got to my destination. Seems about right considering the bad implementation of canteens. I walked around a town for 3 hours the following day, trying to find someone who was trying to kill me. I needed 2 drinks in that space of time which again seems about right. The only gripe I have with the drinking is that, while I would drink a can of coke pretty quickly, a canteen of water should be used to sip and maintain hydration, not chug a litre when you're so thirsty it's life threatening and then it'll all be okay. Requiring 5 meals a day though, regardless of activity level, that's ridiculous. Would like to see vomiting implemented as gorging yourself constantly is a terrible mechanic for staying alive.

    Pending Update: Build 1.7.2.5

Invalid point when all known bugs are listed on the wiki in explicit detail. Nice to see these glitches being addressed quickly, haven't encountered them myself yet but I look forward to the update on behalf of all that have

    Starting Weapon!!

"Hey look, I woke up in a zombie apocalypse, I'm just going to go get that nice tree branch there and use that to fend... oh wait, I can't." I completely disagree with starting with a gun but sprinting around houses/barns/warehouses/hangars when there's a perfectly good bit of easily and realistically obtainable wood sticking out of a tree 20 feet away that you could use as a bludgeon is beyond ridiculous. I know melee was just added though, so I wouldn't get too used to the idea that this is the way it'll be forever, but in my opinion a stick really would be the best way to go about this. It'd make noise, so getting it would alert anyone/thing nearby, if possible it should have limited uses and who wouldn't want to sneak up on a bandit, knock that mofo out, steal his gear and then fire his gun to alert z's to the fresh tasty unconscious snack they just laid out?

    Multiple Characters

I admit I haven't read this entire thread but not being able to loot your alt's corpse would fix most of the potential abuses. You can kamikaze already by getting a friend who's freshly spawned or hold their gear while they run in and distract. Hell they could even drop their own backpack and do the same thing at little risk. To fix muling have any items you specifically dropped disappear when you log out. I only just started playing with a group last night and I already want a solo character so I don't have to wait on them or inconvenience them by having to get geared up to help out again. The game discourages teamwork enough as it is, no need to make it any more antisocial.
