Devblog update: Where is the Standalone?
faded replied to rocket's topic in Mod Announcements & Info
This will be game of the year guaranteed. Looks fucking spectacular. Awesome work Rocket. -
Alright now I'm looking at these 2 finished builds: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/tL2J or http://pcpartpicker.com/p/tL2t Feedback on them would be nice. Also my budget is ~$1600.
-
Also you can go to http://www.systemrequirementslab.com/cyri and it scans your computer to see if it is compatible for a certain game. Just choose ArmA2 and run it. If it isn't above the recommended then I wouldn't bother playing DayZ until you upgrade your computer.
-
Maybe on low settings like 15-20 fps. Maybe. The game requires a very good CPU so a recommended minimum CPU would be something like i5-3570k CPU.
-
How many of you bought arma 2 just for dayz?
faded replied to Minariability's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
I did. And I don't regret it. -
What engine will the DayZ standalone use?
faded replied to faded's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
Is that the same engine as what the DayZ Mod is on now? -
Alright so I'm looking to buy and make one of these PCs. http://pcpartpicker.com/p/tL2t - Right now I'm leaning to buy this one. http://pcpartpicker.com/p/tL2J If anyone has any suggestions or recommendations let me know please.

Also another question :D Since I will get the 2TB HDD and the 120GB SSD, which one do I use for what. I understand that you should install Windows 7 on the SSD because it is much faster however, would I put all my games, music, etc on the SSD or on the HDD?
-
Also I'm curious what FPS do you think I would get with this build for ArmA2/DayZ? If I overclock it and everything.
-
Ok how about 2 of these: http://www.newegg.co...#scrollFullInfo And also will I need any of that thermal gel stuff to put on the CPU or whatever it's for?
-
Ok and instead of those fans I put this one in: http://pcpartpicker.com/part/arctic-cooling-cpu-cooler-acfz11lp So will I still need those other 2 for the front? And this is the final build for the PC: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/tPMd
-
Also can you explain to me how to overclock the video cards?
-
Ok what do you think about these coolers: http://pcpartpicker.com/part/antec-cpu-cooler-kuhlerh2o620 http://pcpartpicker.com/part/arctic-cooling-cpu-cooler-acfz11lp
-
Thanks man I really appreciate your help. It really means a lot to me. Also how about this cooling system: http://pcpartpicker.com/part/arctic-cooling-cpu-cooler-acfz11lp
-
What type of cooling fan do you suggest? Water cooled? Also I don't want to spend more than $40 on one if I don't have to. And I am getting an HD TV for Christmas as well and I have an Acer 1024 x 768 moniter and speaker system.

Well since this is my first ever PC build I don't really have experience with video cards but I've watched videos of benchmarking GTX 670 SLI vs HD 7970 Crossfire and almost every video it says that the GTX 670 SLI is better for games that I will be playing such as BF3.
-
Ok how about this http://pcpartpicker.com/p/tL2J or http://pcpartpicker.com/p/tL2t
-
Ok here is what I'm looking at now. http://pcpartpicker.com/p/tJdH - For that one can you edit or recommend anything that I can do to make it around $1500-1600 but still have good performance. http://pcpartpicker.com/p/tJgB - This would be more ideal for me but I would much rather prefer to have the first one if it was slightly cheaper.
-
Ok well I don't have any personal preference as I've never built a PC before so I'd rather go with your preferences. And here is a build I've come up with on my own if you can suggest anything. http://pcpartpicker.com/p/tIPt
-
I really appreciate the help guys. Also I've had someone come up with this build. http://pcpartpicker.com/p/tHUC What do you guys think?
-
Yeah if only I had any clue how to build one.
-
If you don't mind could u help me shop for parts to put together a good PC? :D I would love you for ever.
