Just because we are not aware of them do not assume the dev team don't have internal deadlines. They have nothing to gain by making those deadlines public. And so.... we wait.... -
Problems with disconnects with only one server.

I don't think you're getting any responses because your issue sounds like it's specific to that server meaning there is nothing you can do about it at your end. The best you can do is try and contact the admin or play on the servers where you don't have this problem. -

I have over 7000 tins of beans. I will ruin you. On topic, money only exists because we have banks to fulfill the promise that the piece of paper you are holding is worth what they say it is. Without banks it's just a piece of paper. A bartering system (as we have) would be the natural progression after the fall of banks.

Try changing servers first just to check it's not disabled on that server. Also, I'm not sure if it effects it but have you pressed the "Num-Lock" key recently? If so press it and try again.

Xcom Enemy Unkown, I'm enjoying the hell out of it. Don't Starve is shaping up nicely too. There is loads but I really can't be arsed to list them TBH. I agree there's a lot of games that can be completed in 10 hours and for some games that suits them, not every game in the world has to be an epic. If you actually have a look properly there's just so many games that have more depth that you can spend hundreds of hours with.

There's lot's of modded servers because many of us have been playing for a long time and the mod has fairly limited content so anything that keeps it fresh is good (within reason). Sure, some people want to play on servers with 500 cars, 30 heli's and military loot all over the place but the SA isn't aimed at players like that, neither was the mod originally. If that's what those players want then their going to be dissapointed with the SA, it's not a game designed by comittee to please the masses. -

Welcome mate. We're the same age so I've had similar issues to you (in terms of gaming). That's one of the main reasons I try and support DayZ as much as i can, I honestly think it's doing something very different and if they pull it off it may even influence the gaming idustry as a whole, some say it already has.

I think the whole point of DayZ is learning to survive in the world they've created. Training someone up in a controlled enviroment kind of misses the whole point of the game IMO. It's supposed to be hard and unforgiving, that's what makes it rewarding when you achieve the simplest things. -

Initially, no, it won't be. It's mainly for security (hackers) reasons. He has said that in the future he'd like to open it up to modders but it's not something we'll see for a long time.. Ninja'd :'() -
There always has been and still is loads of epic games that take more than 10 hours to complete :/
