Well, I think we're all agreed that communication could be better but comparing them to HP as just silly.

I'm not really sure what your point is? Maybe he's not making the game you want but there's many thousands of us that want a hardcore survival game. Almost every game released by the large dev companies is aimed at the mass market to keep everyone happy. All that really results in is a game that lacks focus and caters to the lowest common demoninator.

TBH the whole blood thing is a bit of a moot discussion in my eyes. You can't just shove a blood bag in someones face and make them better. I'm pretty sure blood bags were just added early on as a game mechanic for healing without tons of thought. This was long before Rocket realised hundreds of thousands of people would be analysing every detail of the game or playing it for hundreds of hours. It sounds like the SA will have a much more interesting system and medics or at least people with good medical supplies will become valuable players.

I fear DayZ will be released before we ever truly know if glass is a liquid or not.

Yup, I have to agree. Most people aren't concerned with the wait for the actual game it's just the sketchy communication itself. I don't think Rocket should ever have commited to a weekly devblog without the intention of following it through. I was expecting some to be late or even missed completely but they haven't even come close to doing it. TBH, I personally don't care about devblogs. I'd be happy if they didn't release a single nugget of info until release but many people get the impression that they're disorganised because of the way they've handled the blogs. Now I'm a bit torn here because part of me thinks "well who cares what others think as long as the end result comes up with the goods" and the other part just get's frustrated. As said already, they should have just aimed for a monthly one if they had to set a certain target. Anyhoo, ;luckily I've found some absolutely epic games to tide me over recently.

Gauntlet was epic. IK Karate is one of the ones that sticks on my head for some reason, I think that was on the Amiga though.

Kids, sit through this loading sequence and then you'll know why us older folk sometimes think some of you sound a tad entitled when a game has a bug or takes 30 secs too long to join a server.

I wonder, because we're the first generation of gamers, so far there's been no demand for PC gaming accessories aimed at old-people. In the future I'm gonna need a keyboard with massive WASD keys. Maybe some special "gaming gloves" too.

Yeh, you should close anything like that before ever running Arma to be safe.

You'll need to contact Battleye support, they have banned your Arma OA key. We have nothing to do with it. Read the stickies for more info.

The best way to learn is by using the Arma tutorials. Just turn off DayZ in menu>expansions and then look through the tuts. It's the best way to learn most things to do with controls ect because you can learn at your lesiure and try different key-bindings ect. without people trying to shoot you in the face. Plus, Arma's a pretty good game too.
