    I see your point, not sure how it could be abused though? Especially in comparison to the farming, duping, loot tables and other general abuse we see in the mod. It will need balancing though and that's exactly why they need a public alpha, to gather info on player behaviour.

    Agreed. I know they're going to improve from what we've seen in the demo's but it remains to be seen how much. They always look as if they're on fast forward to me. Gonna be interesting to see the end result.

    Agreed. I've been playing on the Chernarus map for years now too. I think initially all of the changes and additions should be enough to reinvigorate it one last time for me but in the long run I'm really looking forward to any new maps that come along. I know they're coming and I know they're a long way off but knowing they're on the way is enough to keep me interested and learn the game all over again.

    You're so argumentative it's ridiculous. My "pointless one liner" was: "Are you suggesting micro-transactions". After re-reading your post I realised you weren't and gave you a longer answer. Seriously I give up with you. I know our opinions are polar opposite but it's clear you'd rather snipe and make patronising comments than discuss the topic at hand.     Chill out. I was trying to put some thought into it. As always though you've managed to completely ignore every point I've raised in order to make another, oh well, can't say I didn't try and have a reasoned debate with you.

    Are you suggesting micro-transactions? No actually I guess your not. You're basically suggesting some sort of vanity shop. I personally can't think of something I'd rather see less in DayZ or that strays further from the vision of DayZ Rocket has. Many gamers now days are very cynical when it comes to being charged for extra content after they've actually already bought the game itself, me included. Lot's of games have been using the model you describe for years and many gamers are now becoming wise to it and shying away from that type of model. It's been written about extensivley for the last year or so on some of the high-profile gaming sites. Now don't take this personally because I know there's many people out there that share your general cynicism regarding DayZ but I can't help but think that if Rocket announced an online shop for vanity items upon release of the game you'd be one of the first to be crying "SCAM!" from the rooftops. Am I right? I think I'll take my chances with the hackers cheers.

    I atually really like the idea. Sure people will use it to trick others but at least it's another way of stating your intentions. Maybe when organising a trade you could use it so signal to the other player that they've got the right guy. Have some beans.

    The point is that even with a base everything you "own" will still be under threat, the base could even be taken over by others themselves. They will not be the magical storage boxes we see in Origins.

    Yes, it will stream live radio from the interwebz. Live radio stations that have been endorsed by the devs as I understand it. They are currently accepting applications.

    Yup, pretty much confirmed by Rocket already. That's the plan anyway, don't expect to see it in the initial release though, if you do it may be a simplified version of a more complex design we'll see further on in development. If you watch the recent Rezzed presentation you'll see he he talks about every object in the world being able to have it's own stats attached to it, that will include if it is carrying a disease or not and it's also the reason he showed the disinfectant. As above I highly recommend people watch the recent Rezzed and E3 presentations, we're seeing a lot of suggestions ATM that have already been discussed by Rocket. Locked.

    Do it! Just submit an application to the devs and see how it goes. Maybe you could interview some of the well known characters from DayZ like Dr Wasteland, Black Widow and so on. Do it! I'd make distress calls and morse code messages on a loop to freak people out.

    lol, you won't actually have a "foot-meter". Thats the debug menu the developers use. As a player it just means your shoes will degrade over time or if you run around on concrete for days on end with bare feet then you're gonna be in pain. It should be pretty intuitive, same with the food aspect. For example after a few days of bare feet you may get a the message "your feet start to feel sore" or whatever, then you know you gotta get some shoes. if you ignore it long enough you'll end up limping/hobbling around until you sort it out. I think it's an attempt to give the player more to think about, especially for long-term gameplay. There needs to be something to add to long-term surival and consequences because as it stands with the mod once you get some decent gear there really is nothing else to worry about apart from getting shot.

    Woops! No I completely forgot tbh. I'll wait until they're wanting some feedback though because usually the first thing people do when they get a chance to talk to them is smash them with a hundred ideas of what they would do if they were making the game. Believe it or not everyone think they can do better :/. Cheers for reminding me though :)

    Yeh, it may fail miserably and not make it into the final game, it's pretty experimental so time will well I guess. Luckily they haven't had to spend too much time or resources to implement it because it's just taking advantage of the usual VOIP stuff already built into the engine, it's just using that in a different way. For me it hinges on what the community do with it and history has shown that they can be pretty creative. If all we end up with is 80' tunes on a loop then that's not gonna be too great. If we end up with some creative folks using their imaginations and roleplaying by adding some decent stations with perhaps that "Fallout" style to them then it could be a good addition. It's worth remembering too that not everyone's going to be running around with radios trolling. You'll need batteries and the radios themselves could be hard to find. Like a lot of the new things being added, time will tell and we'll only really know how it's going to pan out throughout the alpha testing which is pretty much the point of them releasing the alpha. If everyone hates it, it won't make it into the final game, simple as that.

    We'll have a whole forum dedicated to it. When it's released...... If we do it now it'll end up in circular discussions based on speculation. When we get our hands on it, that's when the devs want/need our feedback, good and bad.
