YW. It'll be interesting to see how those models translate into the game because Dean talked about having lower polygon models but with detailed textures. -
I think that's a good habbit to have, I've seen so many vids where the player never uses freelook and it drives me nuts. The problem I have though is that when I play another game it feels really restrictive not having the option and my thumb's always pressing Alt.

It's very likely that in the future we'll be getting new maps (a long way off though atm) so anything is possible. -
Hmmm, it is a bit immersion breaking although if you place a packet of Fraggelo's at the alter of the church in Electro and spin around 3 times you get an instant HP boost so it's not all bad.

I just remembered another bad habit I still have that's carried over from playing "twitch" shooters. "Tactical" reloads. I fire a burst of shots and then automatically hit reload through habit. It's a great habit to have in twitch shooters BF/COD etc because you always have a full clip ready to go. In Arma and DayZ etc it's not the way forward though and I've been caught out a few times in the past reloading when I should be shooting :/

Now days when I think of game related PR I can't help but think of Colonial Marines. For me that pretty much opitimises the polar opposite of what we get from the DayZ devs and for that I'm truly thankful. Dat production quality. Now listen to all that hype and bollocks, then go and read a review of the game or worse still, play it. -

It does when you combine it with a faux Swaztika avatar and having to shout "Heil" at the leader. Anyhoo, it's not up for debate and I'd quit while you're ahead if I were you. -
Disease/infection etc will (hopefully) be a very complex system. As a basic example I see it playing out a bit like this: Most of the murders/deaths etc. initially will be in the major cities because old habits die hard. After a while the corpses and general waste due to high player traffic, certain diseases (cholera etc) will be concentrated in those areas. There will be measures players can take to avoid being at risk (certain clothes, gas-masks, crafted items, disinfectant, antibiotics, meds, etc) but the risk of going to a city will be considerably higher than surviving outside of them. If you also take into account that players gear will also be able to transfer disease (when looting a corpse for eg.) then cities start to look a lot less attractive to fresh spawns or players that aren't geared up correctly to deal with the new hazards. I think it's one of the things most likely to change the way people play.
