The problem is that most of the people that are happy about it or just not too bothered don't bother making threads about it. So all you end up hearing is the whiners which after a while starts to give you the impression that everyone is pissed off about it. I reckon most of the community are just happily getting on with killing Zeds, me included. -

There's hundreds of great Mods for Arma. This looks pretty cool too. Not sure how high water levels would be caused by a Zombie apocalypse though. Maybe it's the tears from people who's tents have just eaten their NVG's. -

I think the helis spawn three at a time in one area of the map (I might be wrong), so if you happen to be in that area then your in luck. I can go for days without seeing a heli and then find 2 or 3 in a row if I'm in the right part of the map at the right time. -

Easy tips for effective counter sniping

Great tips, especially about the aiming fatigue. I don't think many people use that to their advantage. I always try and suppress them if I have a rough location (the LAW is perfect for that) and freak them out with grenades (M203 if equipped) and smoke grenades. If they haven't DC'd by then and I'm not dead then I try to hunt the bastards down. -
It'a bug but if it's any concellation it's been fixed in the update that has just been released.

The plan is to have a standalone game released by Christmas (according to Rocket). It'll be a at the Minecraft price point apparently.

Well, I'm pretty sure your going to get flamed but I think you've made some great points and written it well. I hope people read it properly rather than just jumping on the fanboy bandwagon.
