What a little bitch that Admin was. Firstly, report him for admin abuse, you've got the evidence, he'll get blacklisted. Before you do that, change your username, find his camp and frag the shit out of it. Use his ATV to drive over all of his tents. Thirdly, I'll do it for you if you want. Admins like that are worse than hackers in my opinion. What server was it? P.S -Theres no way that was a lagged sniper shot. One of your friends would have heard it.

I had one yesterday, then my tent ate it. It's highly under rated in my opinion. The iron sight sucks but once you get used to it it's a badass weapon.

Update your server with the latest patch and hotfix. Sorted.

Yup, it's much better now. I fired off a round in a small village earlier and nearly got over run by trying to hide in a house. Much better.

Well, I'm pretty sure he'd have died when he reconnected if it makes you feel any better.

It's a problem caused by the latest update and is being fixed with a hotfix tomorrow.

It's important to make sure the server is running the latest patch otherwise you'll keep having the same problem.

Lesson learned, lucky your not dead really. If he wasn't a threat to you, you should've stayed hidden, you'll survive much longer that way. Also, you can't loot a ghillie from someone that's wearing it. Have fun.

The tents were fixed in the last patch. I tested them, they work, vehicles too. Funnily enough, the camps that I find are always in an "obscure, rarely visited" part of the map. Next time set up your camp somewhere inland. Everyone thinks they have a great spot for a camp because it's in the wilderness. That's exactly where people look for them. I just found a fully loaded and repaired UAZ stocked with rare items in a VERY obscure and secluded area. Good luck.

Get a tent and set yourself up with some decent basics in there or a secondary loadout (day/night or Silent/loud) It makes it much less frustrating when you die. Also, go get yourself an ATV they're great fun. When you've done that, have a look at some of the groups or projects if you get bored. I became a Medic so that I had other things to do. It's good fun. P.S - Don't think that being a Medic means hanging up your gun. It forces you into risky situations. You'll have to raid hospitals a lot for supplies and approach total strangers that need help so it spices things up a bit. Some of the best firefights I've had have been while trying to get to/protect a patient. Also, I met my new team mate while getting medical help.

I managed to have a camp up and running for eight days before I had to move servers and start again :(. Basically, everyone seems to follow the same process when placing camps which makes it easy to find them. They're always near the edge of the map or an an obvious hill up North. Mine was in the west of the map 5k from the edge, behind a house away from any spawn points. Worked a treat. It even had it's own Zed Guards that spawned from the house.

Hackers is an issue for Bohemia and Battleye to deal with not the DayZ team. So yes, your thread title is both wrong and misleading.

I have managed to find a good home server with good ping, no hackers (yet) and an Admin that actually deals with hackers and cheaters properly. It sounds like many of your problems stem from having a crappy internet connection. Find a server with a good ping and take the time to find a good home server. I use UK servers where hacking seems less of a problem than in the US (for now).

All you can really do is report them. Good luck. I hate bastards like that.

I suggest killing your friends and burying them with their duped gear. Hell, I'll do it for a tin of beans.
