All of these questions or suggestions have already been answered by Rocket himself in various Q & A sessions and the many interviews he has taken part in.

It's an amazing mod. Just don't do what a lot of people seem to be doing and jump on the bandwagon expecting a shiny AAA complete game. It has bugs, it also has a hacker issue at the moment too which is slowly being dealt with.. If you can handle that then I highly recommend you get involved. It's the best thing I've played in a long time. As for eating/drinking and general survival tips, you'll have to figure that out for yourself, that's where the fun is. P.S - I agree with the above, I've witnessed two hacks since I started playing and neither really affected me at all. Some people seem to witness game breaking hacks every time they play. If you find the right server to call your home hacking doesn't need to be a big issue for you.

Yup, correct. You probably just joined a server that has 3rd person mode disabled. Try again.

Just because the server resarted you think you killed an Admin? I think not. In answer to your question, they are both great guns but both serve a completely different purpose. One is a sniper rifle and the other is for close combat. CCO stands for Close Combat Optic. So it depends on your play style. Also, try not to get attached to them , you'll probably die soon or lose your gear when you update with the new hotfix.

I would just wait for the standalone. The Arma engine we're using now is getting old. Go and look at some vids of the Arma 3 engine, it looks and sounds amazing. I read an interview with the devs and the effort they've put in to the sound effects is stunning. Also, your not using Arma Lite are you? If so you'll have low res. textures and lower quality soundfiles too.

Usually after a patch or hotfix it's best to wait until the next day for the servers to catch up. It take them a while to sort themselves out.

If your not happy taking part in the alpha testing phase of a free mod then just wait until the standalone game is released. Then when you've paid money for it you will be in a position to complain.

Yup, mine always have. Be prepared to log in and see an empty backpack though. Might be worth stashing any good stuff you have in a tent if you can.

I like the idea of putting up signs, the only problem is that like everything else people will just abuse it and before long whole maps will be covered with signs containing nothing to do with the game.

You won't lose any gear by reinstalling the game, it's all server side.

The problem is with people duping weapons. Once this is fixed and certain guns and ammo are rare again then problem solved.

Sometimes after you've been looking at your inventory you will lower your gun. Just tap left mouse and all will be fixed.
