    Yup, people really are that good. A good sniper with the right ammo could have destroyed your vehicle with two shots to the engine block. I'm guessing he either wanted the vehicle or didn't have anti-material rounds so just shot you instead. He could also have just been using a decent rifle with a good scope like the M16 ACOG.

    Sweet! I won't be able to log on for a couple of hours so I may be too late to help. Try and stay alive and get a location and I'll come and get you as soon as I can. I'll open a can of whoopass on the kidnappers. I've got a feeling they have some respect for you not DC'ing so thy're not going to kill you. Try not to get Stockholm syndrome in the mean time. I'm going to kill 'em all!

    Smokes work like a treat. I always use them to clear a heli site before I loot it or when I'm at an airfield.

    They actually kind of suck as a firearm, very good if one of your team has one as a spotter though.

    Why not use one of the other Arma mods or servers that are already set up for this sort of thing? Also, where does the charity part come into it?

    Agreed, I'm all up for more survival/realism but it has to be balanced carefully. I'd love hunting animals to require a lot more skill for example, which I'm sure it will in the standalone.

    I saw a vid where some guys went around collecting noobs in their truck. They gave them all numbers and said they would kill them if they didn't comply. Then they made them go and raid the hospital unarmed while they provided sniper support. It's still one of my fav vids.

    Most cans nowadays have a ring-pull, so no need for a can opener. If you were really desperate you could just use a knife anyway or crack it open on a rock. Also tinned food lasts indefinatley until opened. I think the game assumes you eat a whole tin when you have a meal.

    I love the fix. Rare guns become valuable again because of limited ammo, this is the way it's meant to be. Try trading with other players if you want to stock up.

    you can still do both. If you administer bloodpacks once in a while it will help restore your humanity.

    Rocket has always clearly stated that if something is removed or added it doesn't make it permenant. That's why were testing the mod, to see the effects of different things.

    Try using smoke grenades, they love em. Or fire off a shot from the edge of a village. They head for the sound, not you, leaving you to loot buildings in peace.

    Rocket has already said that he wants to make it easier for people to play as a group, I'm not sure how it will be implemented though.

    1: Yes 2: It has an invisible border, after that it's just infiniite plains, although rumour has it if you look hard enough you'll find Narnia. 3: Sometimes you need to wait for Six Launcher to catch up, so for a while you can't see all servers, you can use the Arma muliplayer menu for quicker results and quicker load times. 4: Just chose your spots where you loot more carefully, you always have to kneel to loot unless your primary weapon is equipped. 5: The Ghiilie suit can still cause the odd bug with backpacks, i think that's what happened to you. 6: You'll see lot's of Battleye messages, just ignore them. Unless your hacking or cheating.

    I agree, I ditched my LA85. Yes, the scope is cool but as a firearm it sucks.

    I don't have them to hand. There's a half hour Q&A session video with Rocket at Rezzed somewhere on Eurogamer. Just Google it. It's a month or so old now and thing are moving quickly. I'm sure they'll be some new stuff to keep an eye out for now that the standalone has been officially announced.
