Currently it's at -666 (scary) which is odd because I've lost count of the amount of people I've healed. I did kill 3 of the [LAW] clan last week, maybe it has something to do with that.

I don't think it can be fixed in the Mod. The Arma engine was never designed for this sort of thing so it may be an ongoing problem. At least with the standalone they will be able to edit the engine to cater to their needs.

I think it's a small bug that resets it to 0 when you log back in. Your data is saved though so don't worry, after 10 mins or so of playing mine usually catches up and the number corrects itself. Maybe there's just a delay transferring the information from the hive? -

Inevitably attention will slowly shift focus to testing the game on the new engine (which looks rather awesome BTW). Everybody here should be well aware that this phase of alpha testing would end eventually, it's always just been a matter of when. As Strategos said above me, the fact that a standalone is beinng produced means our work here is done (nearly)! -

You can't expect a personal response from the dev team every time you have a problem, they wouldn't have any time left to actually make the game. For any of us to help you we need to know which version you are running and what method you use to try and connect. -
Agreed. I played using low res for a while and to be honest the experience is exactly the same. Obviously you get some nice eye candy using high res textures but the actual gameplay is unchanged and it can help with your framerates.

Yup, I think it carries over from life to life so you cannot escape your past!

You already have what you need to play so enjoy! Just be aware that by using Arma Lite you'll have low res. textures and sounds files for many objects and most of the map but as a compromise it's not too bad at all.

Portable generators are in the game now, they're one of the rarest thing you can find along with the radio and are completely useless. In answer to Kniekdblahbudohdoodah's question I have no idea what form the underground bases will take, it'll be fun finding out though. -

He's clearly stated in several interviews that player bases will be underground, basically ruling out all of your ideas. The underground idea is to save on memory and to stop the map being ruined by players with each base effectively being it's own instance. He's talked about dead weight traps, electric generators and even hydroponics, so we'll have to wait and see what ends up making it to the final version. -
Few questions about this mod......

1. Using Combined Ops instead of Arma Lite will give you much better graphics and sound, if you can run it. Arma Lite uses low res textures and sound files, you can use it with Operation Arrowhead to play Day Z but you'll still mostly have low res graphics because DayZ uses many of the files from Arma 2 or Arma 2 Lite depending on which your using. 2. It's pretty straight forward to install nowadays and using Six launcher or DayZ Commander can make your life a lot easier if your not sure what your doing, also there loads of really simple to follow guides now. 3. There's hundreds of servers now, and you can pay to host your own but I doubt you'll need to unless you want to end up knee deep in admin work. -

It's actually pretty straight forward. It can be a bit daunting for noobs but once you learn what the different updates mean it's just a case of using the latest versions. This is a free mod in Alpha testing. Constant updates and bug fixing is the whole point of doing the testing. If your finding it a bit tiresome just wait for the finished product, install and then enjoy. -

Agreed. I'm still gonna check the area later to see what I can. I've seen genuine vids of kidnappings and so on but it's far too rare, people just DC too often which is a shame. I was really up for a rescue mission. i think any type of play like this should be encouraged, it makes things much more interesting! -

Logging in now, I'm going to check it out anyway, hoax or not, or it's a trap, I'm going to give you the benefit of the doubt, i was looking for something to do and this could be fun.
