Save yourself a headache and just disable it in via the main Arma menu. -

Open the extensions menu in Arma and disable DayZ -

You could try using Arma Lite as part of your install. It has much lower res graphics and sounds so it might help. Other than that you may just have to accept that you won't be able to run it properly with that setup.- 1 reply

I usually just use the actual multiplayer menu from within Arma, it's quicker. It won't keep you updated but it's quick and easy.

It will remain a problem on the mod to some degree because of the nature of the engine. It was never designed for this sort of thing and makes script injections very easy. The standalone will be a different story though, people won't have access to the code, it'll be locked down. We'll just have to wait. Also BE have banned 10's of thousands of people. It's not enough but they are making slow progress. -

I did warn you! the problem is that the sight of a stunning girl that also happens to like DayZ is almost too much for some to cope with. You might want to change your avatar to something less.... feminine. You shouldn't have to but I get the feeling you'll keep getting this kind of response until you do. -
