It's an issue with the current patch. It'll keep resetting on every respawn.

Yup, the main point is that it's separate from the official DayZ hive.

The main reason it was disabled is because it was causing lag on the servers when everyone was spamming it. -

Have you enabled direct chat? If not use "," to scroll through the chat options until you see it, then your good to go.

It's a sandbox game so there's no defined "goal" as such. Just learn to survive go exploring and have fun doing it.
