What a crap idea this is. One of the best things about the internet is that it breaks down international barriers and opens peoples eyes to the world around them. I personally love meeting people from other countries when I'm playing DayZ. Your idea would only serve to segregate certain communities and encourage ignorance. Luckily, it has no chance of ever being implemented.

It really is up to you. I would read some reviews and so on and then make your choice. There's plenty of information available about all of the games.

News just in..... Rocket didn't choose Battleye as an anti cheat provider. DayZ is a mod of Arma. Please do some reading before posting dramatic threads like this. -

I'd imagine it will continue to drop as the summers press hype machine becomes a distant memory and players try other games and wait for the standalone. It makes me chuckle when I see "Oh Noes, DayZ is Dead". People need to chill out a bit.

On most private hives everything spawns too much. The admins can mess with the settings so it's not the best example. And I'd be in favour of a hive wipe.

To be honest, the hackers would love the challenge that this would present. They would make it their full time job to find a way around it and greif these people, that's what hackers do. As already mentioned, due to the nature of the engine as it is, until the standalone is released hacking is going to remain an issue.

I've always been an Arma fan but hate the "Arma snob" attitude. I'm glad that the game is finally getting the attention I've always thought it deserves. It's a bit of a crap analogy but it reminds me of when Nirvana became popular all those years ago (they were a band kids). The original fans struggled with their popularity because it turns out they liked being alternative hipsters and "their" underground band had gone mainstream. (Crap analogy over). Next time your playing Arma and that happens just shoot them in the face. -
Lol, that happened with the MK 48 mod0 last time a made a thread saying how great I thought they were.

DayZ players should have the courtesy to play Arma2 at least once or twice.

@Raysgoodliquor - You've been murdered 11 times? Where are you picking up your patients because no offence, it sounds like you doing something wrong. Gimme a shout if you want some advice. I'm no expert but I've saved over 30 people and have only been murdered by one once.

I agree, with others here. Just because there are a few non legit items does not make it a hackers camp. Most hackers don't use camps because they can spawn whatever they want whenever they want. I've yet to see reports of hackers spawning heatpacks.
