When I used to play on public servers, I had the co-ords of enough large camps that I could pretty much rock around with any gear I wanted, If I died, I'd just run back to the camps and off I go again. Quite often me and a few friends would go fully geared to Electro or Cherno. My main point was just say that people always cry hacker when they can't understand a pretty simple situation. -
Do you play alone occasionally?

I sometimes prefer playing alone. It depends what mood I'm in really. I just hop in and play and then see if there's anyone around I know. Sometimes when I'm feeling ant-social I just don't turn on TS. -

There's not a great deal of info at the moment because they're very busy making it and it's probably wise not to release too much. I loved how open the development of the mod was but in my opinion It's best that they take a quieter approach with the standalone. I personally think that not releasing much info can build just as much hype as flooding websites with images and screenshots. TBH we don't have very long to wait. The other mods may disagree with me but for now I think it's best just to carry on as is. When Rocket wants to release info, you'll easily find it here and as always you're welcome to open a thread to discuss it. -

Are you talking to me? If so can you go and read my first post properly, cheers. And with regards to player numbers dropping, they probably have to some degree but the numbers you're using don't take into account private hives. That's where the cool kids hang out now days. You should try it. I haven't seen a hacker for at least 6 weeks. -

Call me a cynic but surely you mean you just bought the keys online and can't figure out where to put them? If this was legit it would be pretty obvious to you where and when to use the keys. -

The general rule to follow should be not to use or carry hacked gear. People have different opinions on it but the fact is an admin can ban you for carrying it. If you're really unlucky he can add you to the CBL meaning you'll get banned from multiple servers. -

I agree. As well as all of the useful stuff it would be nice to just have random objects too. With trading as it is bartering these items could even become popular. -

You can get banned from the server by the admin but not globally banned, just to clarify. -

Jesus, no offence, I know hacking is an issue but there is literally nothing in your post to suggest he was a hacker. I've seen so many accusations of hacking purely because someone can't understand another players behaviour. My fav was "He must have been a hacker, why else would a man carry 8 cans of Pepsi?" (this was from an official cheat report and that was his evidence) along with "but there's no reason someone should be there, I was way up north in the woods". People have infinite reasons for acting differently in DayZ, unless you see a hack being used, it's not a hacker. -

The key parts of that sentence are that you'd have to "find those you know". Not magically appear next to them. Although in the standalone mechanics are being tested to make group play easier.

I'd much prefer that to heli's! BTW Stan, the best way to make an image visible in your posts is to use something like Photobucket (it's free). Just upload your images there and then choose "Insert image" when your posting and copy/paste the link.

Anywaaaaay...... back on topic: OP - You'll get loads of complaints like that to start with. People hate dying and like to blame admins/hackers/servers in general. It's only a matter of time before you get accused of admin abuse because someone got sniped and can't figure out how or why. Do you have a forum for your server? If not then I recommend it. Doesn't have to be anything fancy, just somewhere people can communicate/vent outside of the game. It also gives you a place to post stickies and so on about server rules and deal with people in general. -

Your welcome. Some systems don't cope well with the PPE which is a shame because when it works it makes the game look lovely.
