    Please allow me to present: The Poll It's far too small as a sample to be of any use really but it certainly helps counter the argument that wanting 3rd person removed (which I don't, I want it refined) is purely the viewpoint of me and my Arian brotherhood.

    Again you haven't really offered anything of substance, just sniped at me. That's cool and all but in the last 15 pages or so I've pretty much written an essay putting forward my viewpoint. You can ignore all of that (which you have) as much as you like in order to attack one single sentence each time and carry on with that bollocks about the Arian race (Nazi references...really?), I'd rather you took the mature approach and address my over-arching point of view in a mature way, then we might get somewhere. I don't think that's likely though because you seem too emotional atm to make a solid case. You seem to be constantly missing the fact that I'm not arguing for the 3rd person cam to be removed :/ Much love. P.S - I really am done with this thread now. Really. I mean it this time. I really do.

    You can't look around corners without exposing your head how ever many monitors you have or however high your FOV is set using FPV.

    No sorry :/ Currently they just have the lift shafts to the roof but I'm struggling to remember if there was talk of opening them up a bit. I'm sure something was said but I honestly can't remember. I'll go to my room.

    Lets not argue semantics. The question is: Can it be improved upon because currently many regard it as game-breaking and the people that don't have yet to put forward a solid reason why the devs shouldn't at least try to fix it.

    Guis, guis, it's ok. I've pondered long and hard and have the perfect solution that allows us to keep our magical eyes but make it more fitting with the survival situation. There are literally no negatives to this suggestion. I'll leave now.

    Hi. A quick browse of the forums would tell you that we can't help you. We quite literally have nothing to do with bans, for that you need to contact Battleye. I will add though that they don't ban for being on the same server as a hacker or using hacked gear. Good luck, locked.

    I think I can have a go at one of those: Later on in development I think they're likely to add a weight system and that could be linked to fatigue. So if your player is carrying/wearing heavy gear there will be a penalty for that. As to your other questions I'd just be speculating tbh. although in the main cities most building now have multiple rooms and floors, the ones you're referring too I'm not sure about although I'm still constantly surprised every time I walk up to a door in a building and I can actually open it :)

    In Arma (and initially DayZ) the gameworld has a complete and authentic lunar-cycle. You can even use the stars to navigate if you know how in the same way you can use your watch and shadows in game to find north in the daytime. I hope the SA really fixes nightime gameplay. I can't navigate using the stars but I like knowing I could if I wanted to.

    Apart from curing cancer, turning water into wine and fixing every bug ever seen in DayZ (and even some Minecraft bugs) I hear the performance is rather good.

    He doesn't want to force a particular playstyle. He does however feel that having FAR more content in the game as well as scarce ammo etc and more survival elements could go some way towards reducing it slightly.

    Watching a player at a convention looking for loot for 3 hours and then being shat on by a zed every 5 mins because he's never played before doesn't make make for a great demonstration of new content. Just sayin.

    Wut? I'm not going to gimp anything, it's not down to me at all. I'm just using this opportunity to put forward my views. The devs are interested to know how peeps feel about the cameras and how they're used, hence this thread. You should be happy we have devs that actually read the forums and take peoples views into account when making important decisions. You can either get defensive and pissed off or offer some solid reasoning behind your own viewpoint. The latter will probably be taken more seriously when they read this thread. Anyhoo, I'm off for the night, this is bloody draining.

    Well done for not reading anything. We're discussing alternatives, not removing it. The devs will be reading this to see what players are thinking about the situation. This is not an argument, it's just people putting forward their opinions.

    I agree, it would have to be done properly. I'd rather keep it as it is now than have a "fixed" version of the 3rd person cam that is a nightmare to use.

    But in every single street there's windows on both sides :/ How should I avoid putting myself in danger or at least minimise the danger? I can't because every window has a potential invisible sniper in it meaning the only sensible choice is to now avoid every street in the city. A sniper without the ability to exploit the cam would have to physically look out of the window to scan the streets, potentially giving his position away to players that are observant. That's what I mean about it being detrimental to gameplay.
