Only kidding. We all know that's not possible. I rarely post my gameplay vids, let's face it, there's enough of them out there already. I wanted to post this one as a cautionary tale for noobs and vets alike. I was playing with Steak, having a lovely drive through the country side, 5 mins later we were a car down and being abused by Zeds. We both died horribly. So what's the lesson? Never get cocky and don't drink too much whilst your playing. BTW - The quality sucks but I'll replace it with a high res one when steak sends me the files, enjoy. WARNING: This video contains strong language. We were very scared. Viewers of a sensitive nature should not watch.- 62 replies

Loads of public servers have these permanant Thunderdomes" stuck on them now. I've not seen a solution yet. -

I wouldn't consider the way you play as being a bandit, I'd still call it a survivor. Yes you kill, but only when people are in the way of your goal. -

I tend to agree with Orlok in that having stats tends to make people "grind" to show off their stats to friends. If it's not done carefully it could encourage certain playstyles which would be a bad thing IMO. -

I just prefer having having one target (or a group) and a good reason to hunt them. It helps me justify it and it also requires skill, planning and patience. Much more satisfying when you get the kill than just shooting some random because you got the drop on him. -

I love hunting people down or just stalking them. For me, not being a bandit means not killing for the sake of it. There's still many opportunities for a bit of action, and usually it's more interesting than shooting anything that moves. EG: If there's a bandit or a sniper making peoples lives a nightmare I love nothing more than tracking him down and smiting him, it requires more skill than shooting randoms. -

Yup, I've met people that I still play with now by being a medic. Like you say, it makes for much more interesting stories too. Edit - OP, I'm stalking you ;) -

Because I find it much more fun doing other things. I tried being a bandit for a few day's and frankly it's boring. When I became a medic, that's when I first started to really enjoy DayZ. it's also harder to survive that way. -
it helps if we know what you're using to find servers, if it's DayZ Commander then adjust your filters (version, public, private ect.).
