I think I'll leave you to it now, it's pretty clear you've gone from wanting to talk about the SA to sniping anyone that disagrees with you or your attitude. Regarding my sig, I'm happy to promote a group of admins that have spent a lot of time, effort and money over the last few months building a great community and running servers where people can play DayZ as intended. If it wasn't for people like them, people like you wouldn't have anywhere to play. I've spoken to Matt Lightfoot and Griff about it so I guess I do know better than you. In fact I think more people should promote good admins, it helps others find somewhere nice to play and is good for DayZ as a whole. It's not a business and doesn't make money (quite the opposite) it's a group of players that enjoy DayZ. -

How could we forget Apache? How I miss his insane ramblings and nonsense suggestions. I even remember when he was new to the forums. He PM'd asking why people weren't liking his suggestions and I literally spent a couple of hours chatting with him in PM offering him guidance and advice on making a suggestion and presenting it. He then ignored all of my advice and went on to become a legend in the suggestion thread. -

What? I didn't defend an individual or address anyone specifically, I'm starting to think your more interested in antagonising people on this thread than anything else. You've made your point (repeatedly) and we are all now well aware of how you feel about this situation. I've made my position on the subject very clear over the last few pages too. I don't even know who you're referring too :/ To put things in perspective, there's many thousands of people playing DayZ on a daily basis and hundreds of those post on these forums daily. The fact that there's only a handful of people repeatedly demanding information from the devs on this thread tells me how patient the DayZ community is. Months of hard work and the relationship the devs have worked hard to build with this community over the last year isn't forgotten by most after a couple of weeks of silence over the Xmas period. -

Chill out peeps, no need to start pissing each other off. As I said before, one thing we all have in common is that we all want news and we all want the SA release to go smoothly. -
The zombies are "weird" because this is a free mod. The devs have had to try and mod the soldier AI from Arma to act like zeds, turns out it's not easy. That's why they're making the SA so they can code from scratch like a normal game.

Customising weapons is on of things being worked on for the SA. They've made each weapon it's own instance so that stats for that weapon as well as any customisations stay with that weapon for it's life time. Sexy stuff.

Basically hacking was really bad in DayZ at one point but that was a while ago now. Many people opened private servers, I'd reccomend spending a bit of time finding a good one then you won't have to worry about hackers at all.

Also from Rocket 2 weeks ago, don't forget that when he returned to NZ for Xmas it was the first time he'd been home in over a year: "While me heading back to NZ for a couple of weeks is going to make things a bit slower, already the psychological benefits are feeling massive for me. The December target I set was a good and bad thing. It was good because it forced our development to push heavily towards a target. Without that target, I have no doubt we would be significantly further behind than we are, and we probably would have made some different decisions which would have not been as positive for the project. It was bad because of the expectations it set. That target relates to what was achievable in terms of releasing a "mod on steroids", whereas halfway through we abandoned that and went for a "new game based on the mod" - which is far more ambitious and really what everyone wants. But that meant achieving the december release is much harder, still because I'd made that promise it made the programmers work much harder." I'm not posting this as a defence for the lack of information recently, that's not my job. I just realise many may have missed the comments before Xmas. -

People now days are pretty cynical about game development (rightly so), all we can do is look at the facts and make our own judgements, many will claim the delay is a scheme to maximise Arma2 sales on Steam others will be patient. Once the SA is released, whenever that is, all of this will be long forgotten. -
It would be better if you put the server name in your title to get the admins attention. Just saying "Read" doesn't really help anyone.

Nobody knows, hence the frustration in this thread. It's very out of character for the devs to be this quiet, they have a great track record of communication since DayZ was first made. All we can really do is chill-out and wait. -

This is how rumours start. The 15th was just a date that someone guessed at on a tweet. Any official news on the date will be released on these forums in the announcement section. -
