    Arma 3 a new DayZ?

    I'd imagine people will make a new DayZ on it at some point. Maybe the community devs from here will port stuff over. It'll be very different to the SA though even with all the bells and whistles Arma 3 will have, it'll take a while to build too. It'll still be a mod with all of the issues that go along with being a mod that we suffer from now.

    Luckily for the SA they don't have to wrestle with modding the soldier AI. They can rip it out and start again now they have access to the engine.

    Deergab - Looks like you've had a few issues before because of using hacks according to your Steam account. You also have accounts with mutiplayer hacking sites. If you've been using map-hacks on DayZ then it should be pretty obvious what the answer to your question is. Bear in mind that Global bans from Battleye can be delayed and cannot be reversed. I'm sure yours will be along any minute now. Locked.

    I'm guessing any legit streams will be a pretty big deal so it'll be easy to find them :) . There won't be any yet though.

    It's not really our department TBH but I know works being done on it already. As Derpy said, the "new" site/structure will be for the SA with a sub-section for the mod as far as I can tell.

    I hope so. I know the devs read the forums a lot so very possibly. It's one of the reasons I posted in the forums originally, because the devs use it as a resource for ideas and always have. It seems like a logical choice for me as most of the work is already there, just waiting to be used and they've already said they're using the same weather system so the wind/turbulance would already be a part of the SA too. Good times ahead methinks.

    Yup, get that demo and get practicing, there's a few hours of fun right there. I've got a feeling good pilots will be valuable players in the SA ;). There was lot's of criticism about the engine choice for the SA originally, I hope it's beginning to make sense to some of the critics why it was the OBVIOUS choice now :)

    I'm surprised nobody has mentioned the Heli controls potentially being ported in from TOH yet, I thought many would find that controversial because it'll make life much harder in terms of flying. I love the idea though. Thoughts?

    Theres a few good mods for Arma (SMK is a good one) that allow climbing over walls and much more dynamic movement in general, I'd like to see something more like that than bunny-hopping.     RE: jumping, I doubt it. Nothing worse than watching players bunny-hopping all over the place COD stylee to avoid getting shot. I may be wrong though.

    Global Ban?

    Contact Battleye, we don't deal with global bans here. Just follow the golden rules of internet use and you won't keep being banned. Don't download software from un-trusted souces and don't run dodgy scripts whilst playing DayZ or Arma. If you hurry I believe WarZ are handing out free "unique katanas" to every player as an appology for all of the recent mishaps. Sounds exciting.

    It's just my opinion but I think if there's one criticism that can never be levelled at the DayZ devs it would be money grabbing. Even in the early days of the mod they turned down all offers of donations, after that they turned down many "big" offers of financial backing for the SA. Of course the goal has to be to make money eventually and rightly so but if that was their main goal there's many different paths they could have already chosen. Micro transactions have been ruled out because Rocket hates them and they could have rushed the release for Xmas sales which again, they've chosen not to. They're being sensible and playing the long game which will be better for all of us in the long run, it just means we have to wait a bit. To get to the point we are at now in the time we have is still amazingly quick in terms of game development.

    Rocket discussed the use of child zombies on the forums a while ago. His opinion then was that the controversy and/or legal issues with it not being released on some countries just wouldn't be worth it. Of course things change at at this point in development nothing is written in stone.

    Maybe it's just a dev/programming term. As in "Parent objects" and "child objects". Who knows, I don't, worth thinking about before we go off on one though. If we get to question the devs again I'll be sure to ask though. Regarding the copy/pasted zeds in the mod, that's because it's a mod and they just used existing assets. Expect more in the SA.

    Banned Appeal

    Yup, the info above is good. We don't deal with BE bans, technically they have banned your Arma key. You need to contact Battleye, their details can be found in the ban area of the forum or via Google. Be aware though that it's rare for bans to be overturned as they are only issued with solid evidence to back them up. Locked.
