No idea, I guess it'll degrade over time. In the future though it'll be a very important part of the very complex disease mechanic. -

Soz but I agree with Play on this one. Fair enough you're unhappy with some of the things they're trying out but you're in no position to start bitching about it. It's free and they're working for free so you can have fun. Like I say, it's fair enough if you don't like the direction it's taking and you're well within your rights to bring it up but your anger and entitledness (is that a word?) are way over the top. -
Yes it is! You can tell by the pier. I was there last week, great place for chilling plus they have the best guitar shop in England.

It's probably best to avoid playing on servers that are notorious for hackers, that's just asking for trouble.

I'm going to run backwards off of the map for 3 hours while constantly reloading and see what happens. I like the zombie herding idea though, lot's of potential. -

Is DayZ becoming a shoot'em up game?

Don't forget that this free mod is still essentially the same game as it was months ago when it was just created to be a few hours fun for a few friends. People look way too deeply into it. It's a sandbox game and for better or worse people are allowed to play it however they see fit. The SA will address some of these issues but only by adding content, not by punishing certain playstyles. Is this game for you? Only you can answer that. -

This video is worryingly misleading, don't you think? If I was not so well informed and I was watching this I would assume that those images of the inventory were official pictures of the newly revised system, where as in reality they don't really have anything to do with it. -

TBH the terms alpha or beta don't really apply at this point in the traditional sense due to the unconventional way the DayZ has come about. That's why Rocket wanted to call the release "foundation". Unfortunately Sergey and his goons immediatetly stole that term and used it for their Steam release. We all know what happened there, now people won't trust the term "Foundation" so we have to resort to more traditional terms even though strictly they don't really apply to DayZ at this point in development. -

Taltal - You have an account with "Multiplayer Game Hacking". The address matches via your IP so it's pretty obvious you've been up to no good. Don't bother contacting Battleye, they won't help you or reverse the ban. Google is you friend now. -

You contact Battleye, we don't deal with bans here, there's nothing we can do. It's impossible to get banned for picking up gear and it's VERY rare for them to reverse a ban, usually it's a result of hacking/scripting or downloading dodgy software and getting your key stolen. -
Private hive server admins don't need to give a reason. It's their server and they can allow or ban whoever they want. If you feel it's unjust then appeal to them here or try and contact them directly. Failing that, find another server, there's thousands.

Admin behaving badly??

Could be luck, they could've used a heli very easily to find it or they may have tracked you. There's many poor admins around but many good ones too. Just having your car found and destroyed is part of DayZ and there's no reason here to assume it's admin abuse. If you continue to worry that the admins are abusing their position then move servers.
