Longest time you have stalked someone?
Fraggle (DayZ) replied to krihelion's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
I stalked someone that killed my buddy for about an hour or so once. I climbed onto a building to line up my shot, I killed him with a couple of great long range shots and then rolled off the edge and died :( -
Yup, the above info is spot on. Locked.

A PSA for DayZ players
Fraggle (DayZ) replied to unkillable94's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
Same. Most admins take logging (or should) very seriously. All of the servers I've played on for the last few months will ban players that can be proven to have logged during combat. It separates the men from the boys :) -
See, I said it would rise from the flames!!!!!
-
Cheers dude, you can use it if you want. I was messing around with the 3D part of PS CS6 extended and that's what I came up with :)
-
If you're playing on public haves you'll have to do it the hard way, that is the route you have chosen so you'll have to live with it. If you play on Private hives/servers then you will start with fresh humanity if you find a new server.

This thread will never die. It will rise like a Phoenix from the flames when you least expect it.

Surely you could post this in the brony thread rather than starting a whole new topic? If you look down under TV/movies you will find your fellow bronies in the MLP thread. Enjoy, send them a muffin from me :) Locked.

Are KOS kiddies cowardly and stoopid?

Couldn't have put it better myself. -

I happen to agree with you. -
Are KOS kiddies cowardly and stoopid?
Fraggle (DayZ) replied to Rastamaus's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
I believe that KOS players are indeed cowardly and may indeed be more stupid than the average player. I see it as the easy option. Yes, it's a legitimate playstyle and I'd never want it removed but it is the option players that lack imagination choose IMO. -
If you admin a server yourself you'll know that automatic script restrictions can take a while to sort out and it takes time to go through the logs and pick apart what happened. In that time it's best to be patient. As I see it the admin is doing his best to act responsibly, he has asked you to be patient while he goes through the logs which is very time consuming. If you admin a server yourself you should know all of this anyway. You have 2 choices. Wait for the admin to check his logs and come to a conclusion or move on and play on one of the thousands of other servers out there.

Are KOS kiddies cowardly and stoopid?
Fraggle (DayZ) replied to Rastamaus's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
Agreed. I don't like KOS as a style of gameplay, it's probably the easiest and most boring way to play Dayz but it's still a legitimate tactic for survival and that's all I really have to say on the matter TBH. -
Oh dear. 7 posts in and already abusing other members. The future is not very bright for this one. Have a 3 day posting ban and use that time to read the forum rules, think about you behaviour towards others and bake some muffins.

Agreed. DayZ has become PVP oriented because of the lack of thing's to do. This, over time will be addressed in the SA. I'm not understanding peoples arguments that say removing crosshairs focuses more on PVP, if anything it makes that harder.

I think they did pretty well, hence we still talk about them today and their culture lives on. -
No Pepsi, Coca-Cola or Heinz in standalone
Fraggle (DayZ) replied to SmashT's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
Agreed. They've probably ignored the calls thinking BIS/Rocket are just some loony game devs. When they realise that they could be missing out on shed loads of free advertising they'll be smashing your doors down to be involved. Then I can keep my Avi :) -

As you can imagine I'm gutted about this :(. WHY HAVE YOU FORSAKEN MEEEEEEEEEEEEE!?!?!?!?!?!?! -
Oh you again. I'm already well aware of your bitterness towards the mod team here due to our overly protracted conversation that had to be resolved by Griff a couple of months ago. If I remember correctly every single one of your complaints against multiple members of the moderator team that I answered at length was proven to be unjustified as confirmed by Griff. In this case the OP has the info he needs and I've offered to help him via PM. Please don't make me respond to multiple complaints like last time. Locked, as the circle jerk has been broken and the good mojo tainted.

And with that, I'm off to bed. Much love. PS _ Steak - There's a typo on your sig, I'd sack whoever made that.

I actually think it would discourage certain pvp' ers or at least make it harder for them. As I said in my post, the crosshairs make the game much more accessable to the people that just want to run around aimlessly shooting from the hip without requiring any skill. It would actually make life easier for people like you that want to be left in peace because anyone wanting to shoot at you from over 100 ft away would actually have to take the time to line up a shot rather than just reflex shooting using the magical on-screen guide.
