You can play however you want. Set yourself some goals. Maybe start a small camp or become a medic. Whatever floats your boat really. You're at the stage where some people give up because they can;t think of what to do. You gotta use your imagination. Have a look around the forums to see what others are doing for some inspiration. For example, many months ago Dr Wasteland was a lone player wandering around patching people up, take a look here to see what happened: http://dayzmod.com/f...d-a-medic-here/ TMW is now the biggest clan in DayZ. If you like the look of it join up, if you're more the bandit type then go for it, there's groups for that too.

Hmm, that was before they completely changed their approach from releasing a souped up mod to sarting from the ground up (which was clearly stated just after Xmas by Rocket). Please try and keep up. -

I think it's for each individual to read up on all of the available information (there's lot's of it) and then make an informed choice as with any other purchase. There is no one-answer-fits-all response hence the MANY posts like this every week. -

Money is essentially a promise from the bank that the piece of paper in your hand or the coin in your pocket is worth what they say it is. With the fall of banks in DayZ (I assume we can say they are now closed for business) the money in your pocket becomes worthless unless someone wants the metal or paper. Trade is the way forward unless you want to set up your own bank of course....

Banned for no reason (UK 108)

I edited your title so that the admin might happen to see your post. I can't find any UK 108 admins on the forum. I know it doesn't help you right now but in the future try and play on servers where you have the ability to contact the admins. It really does make life easier if you run into problems. Also, an admin that is contactable is a good sign of a well run server. Even better than that, try and find a server with a good community. -

Yes. Contact the server admin as they are the ones that banned you or find another server to play on. -

Np. Many people recomend using Afterburner instead of Fraps (it's free too) but I didn't notice any difference TBH. Both of them drop my framerate slightly.

Welcome to the forums. Achievements and many similar ideas have been discussed at great length over the months here on the forums. It's always worth doing a quick search before making a new suggestion but I'll leave this here to see what people think of your idea.

I prefer the randomness. I hate it when you can completely "learn" the system in any game and then abuse it. Not knowing whether you're going to be knocked out or kissed on the cheek is much more fun. -

YOU CANNOT BE BANNED FOR USING FRAPS. I've been using it since last July and so do the many other players I play with. In thousands of hours of play between us none of us have never been banned. Ever. The ban threads are just the tears of people caught hacking or players that got their keys stolen by not following basic internet security.
