You edited my post Rocket? You done gone made me mad now.

Exactly. BIS have a reputation for supporting their games and the community for years after release. They seem to take a lot of pride in their products and that is reflected in the way they approach the development of their games. If they wanted to do a cash-grab with DayZ they could easily have done that just before Xmas, instead they're showing that they're in this for the long-haul which is great news for all of us.

DayZ Devblog 15th February 2013
Fraggle (DayZ) replied to SmashT's topic in Mod Announcements & Info
Well, I think they're currently at the point where around 80% of the buildings on the map are enterable so the change in gameplay are is going to be massive. -
BIS are well known for supporting their games for years after the initial release, just look at Arma. With that in mind I think the current plans with regard to the pricing structure are fine.

DayZ Devblog 15th February 2013
Fraggle (DayZ) replied to SmashT's topic in Mod Announcements & Info
For me, one of the most interesting parts of this update is the fact that they are attempting to change the lootspawn mechanics so that making loot tables will become impossible. I hate loot tables and I know many players rely heavily on them (or did when they were learning) and it takes away from the point of the game which is exploring and discovering.- 389 replies

How I raised up my FPS from 10-15 to 30-40 on my LAPTOP!
Fraggle (DayZ) replied to barrett_killz's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
Well, I tried it earlier out of interest and I had quite a noticeable improvement in framerate! I'm genuinely surprised! I haven't measured the framerate yet but it was so much quicker. I didn't have time to test it properly, I just ran around for 5 mins but first impressions are good!!! -
I did. You can record with it.

DayZ Devblog 4th February 2013
Fraggle (DayZ) replied to griffinz's topic in Mod Announcements & Info
Chill out Jesus. There is no need to be upset. The point I was trying to make is that Rocket has a very strong vision for the game he wants to create. Not designing a game by committee is very different to not listening to the communities opinions and feedback. Rocket and the Dev team are famous for listening to the players opinions on the project and are well known for asking for feedback. However, that is very different to designing a game around the opinions of the majority or those who shout the loudest, with that approach we'll just end up with a watered down version of what promised to be an exciting game. Anyhoo, lets move on shall we. -

Fraggle (DayZ) replied to griffinz's topic in Mod Announcements & Info
News just in: This game isn't being developed by commitee. The devs will do what they feel is necessary to create the game they have envisioned. If that involves making changes that will initially piss some people off then that's what's gonna happen. We've all seen what happens when good concepts get watered down to placate the playerbase, luckily that's not going to happen with DayZ.- 698 replies

Ask a question to be answered in next blog update.
Fraggle (DayZ) replied to SmashT's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
You've mentioned giving weapons an overhaul recently, how is that going and are melee weapons being worked on yet? (cheers Smash, me love you long time) -
So it's nothing to do with DayZ then?

Giving me Battleye Global ban#0be3cd)
Fraggle (DayZ) replied to xZavaaH's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
Sounds like your key got stolen. I'd imagine Battleye won't help you as they can't protect you from letting your Brother compromise the security of the information on your computer. To put it bluntly, it's your fault. We can't help you here either. If you want to pursue it contact Battleye Support. Locked. -
What is a unique player?
Fraggle (DayZ) replied to gamerman001's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
Depending on the context, a unique player is basically a game key assigned to a player. So if the devs said we have 50 unique players it would basically mean they have 50 individual gamers recorded as playing regardless of how many people were using one key (brothers for example). -

Rocket said they would try and release an update every Friday but not at the expense of making progress on development. -
are hackers still rampant?
Fraggle (DayZ) replied to [email protected]'s topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
Hmm, interesting. I haven't seen a hacker for over 3 months and I play a lot. You need to find a good server with a good admin. If you jump into any old random server public or private you're gonna have a bad time.
