If you go to the Blender website there's loads of guides there already made by their community, it'll get you up and running but be warned it takes time to learn. It's free software and is pretty amazing. Here's where you need to go: http://www.blender.org/ -

Secondly, the December release date was the aim when the plan was to just tart up the mod a bit. That plan has now changed and they are building many aspects of the new game from scratch which will take time. You would know this if you read the devblogs in the link I have provided for you. -
Because everyone that's playing on the server can hear you. It's probably the most annoying thing you can do while playing. Edited for spelling :)

I'll move you to troubleshooting where some peeps with much better knowledge than me will help you out. -
Don't forget DayZ is still just a free mod for Arma. There are many other mods as well as the game itself. Many of these Beta patches aren't for DayZ at all although a few have been made with DayZ in mind.

Weird. Have you updated your GFX drivers recently? If not give it a go. Also, have a look at your card settings via- catalyst or the Nividia alternative and tweak some of them. -
Here's an old vid. For now dogs have been put on hold while they crack on with more important things.

Some of the names I've invented over the last few months are just weird. I'm dyslexic so I really have to concentrate with the place names. I tend to rely more on landmarks but TBH if I'm with somebody else that knows the map well I try and let them lead the way :) -

Well that would be silly. Having the place names in a different language (if you only speak English) adds to the disorientation and rewards players that spend time learning the map or place names. -

Agreed. It really breaks up the fluidity, stops you in your tracks and makes you feel like you're not in control of your character as you wait 5 seconds for the current animation to finish. -
Yup, it'd be nice for a group to be able to fix up a large vessel (requiring a lot of work of course. They could even make it their home base if done properly.

When I was a new moderator and super-keen, I used to check out these appeals (remember we have access to IP's too). I can assure you that every single user posting an appeal that I bothered to investigate had multiple accounts on hacking sites. Even the very sincere sounding ones. I don't bother any more, I just lock and tell them to contact BE, it really is the best and only way to help them. -

Agreed, that's why we try to lock them quickly with the "contact BE" advice. I think people post all of the abuse because hacking ruined this mod for some and I think seeing someone appeal a global ban is an opportunity to vent at a potential hacker. -

The animations and skeletons for the players are being completely re-done. The player skeletons in Arma are now 10 years old, it's time for a revamp so that's what's being done. As Capricorn above said, all animations are being re-motion captured for the new game and so are the zed animations. Regarding doors, no they wont be a threat. As you can see in the devblog, every aspect of the game is being either re-done from scratch or modified highly, this included bugs and glitches that were an issue with the mod. -

There's a reason that our attitude towards global bans seems harsh. Firstly most of the appeals are hackers looking for help. Secondly, we cannot help anybody posting their global ban appeals. This is why we have stickies explaining this. When somebody receives a global ban it is administered by BE and bans their Arma key. ATM DayZ is just a free mod for Arma like any of the other hundreds of mods and it is Arma that BE have banned them from, again we cannot help them with this. To sum up then, there is nothing anyone here can do to help people with there global bans apart from direct them to BE. If the threads stay open the OP will either recieve abuse or be given lot's of bad advice/information. Even worse than that they could be prayed upon by a hacker pretending that they can help (we ban a lot of these behind the scenes) which will lead to further issues. -
