Honestly Mr Planck, there's not much new news here if you've been following the devblog and other stuff. @ Charb - He's an awesome player (in Arma too - great heli pilot) - He's probably tired and or been spending too much time doing other DayZ related stuff. He also has to be very careful about what he says which is why there's always a considered delay before committing to saying anything. I've played the mod to death and if you asked me any question 2 months ago about any weapon, ammo, exploit, bug or anything else I could have answered it in a split second but haven't touched it for a while now, so I'd struggle to remember lot's of the finer details. -

I could probably mount a carrot on a rifle but doesn't it take some knowledge and skill to mount a scope and make it effective? -

Yup, that's the plan. They've already talked about the issue of having to let a whole animation play out before you do anything else, it's being addressed. As for the other concerns about animations I guess we have to cross our fingers and toes. -

I wasn't really addressing his concerns with the animations. I was wondering why he was so worried that the DayZ guys would suddenly turn into a money hungry bunch when everything about thier track record (and BIS) would suggest otherwise. -

Hmm ok, I guess your username is fairly common. Search through the troubleshooting area of our forum where you'll find posts by people that have had this issue in the past. Also, if you've downloaded anything recently and you can't trust the source 100% then that might be an issue.

It's gonna be interesting. As above I hope it's not just a case of swapping out various optics with ease, it's gonna be a fine balancing act to make the game fun but still authentic and tricky. I guess that's the key to getting the whole game right though. -

I'm not young either and also remember the good old ZX Spectrum and have been a gamer for many years. If you follow the forums you'll know that over the past few months the devs have encouraged criticism and responded to it. That's one of the many reasons that some of us have a lot of confidence in Rocket and the dev team not to follow the same approach as many of the big game companies now days that has slowly turned the gaming industry into an endless conveyor-belt of crap. Of course only time will tell but i don't really understand what your paranoia is based on? Why are you worried about cash-grab techniques being used when the history of BIS and many interviews with Rocket (he's already said he hates micro transactions and that it will never be a part of DayZ) indicate that the exact opposite is much more likely. Please tell us what you are basing these fears on. -

Can't be done. Each unique player needs their own key, basically each one of you needs their own copy of the game. -

I'm honestly not. I spent a few months last year trying to get to grips with Blender and in the end just decided it wasn't for me. 3d modelling requires epic amounts of patience that I just don't have, I stick to 2d now days :) -

Well, he said they already have 100 different items listed and we can expect more. I think it's his intention to make different clothing reflect the positives negatives of that type of clothing. This should be possible now that each item in the game world can have it's own unique identity. -

Wierd, I honestly have no idea though. Just as a heads up always keep your video memory on default as that allows the game to use everything you have, the other options limit it. Crazy but true. -
