Arma 3 is using a drag and drop inventory and it works just fine. Better than wrestling with a flawed menu system. -

^^Yup, it's hard not to see the irony in this. You want the game rushed out because you're worried that a failed game (because it was rushed out) has stolen DayZ's thunder. Patience is key here. -

Only if they instantly appear in you hands as if by magic. If done right (as in many other games) it just takes the chore out of sifting through gear. I believe the issue in that other "game" you mention was that items would just spontaniously appear in your hands at the press of a button as they haven't bothered making any transition animations. "hey I'm unarmed!" *instagun* "take that bitch, the hand is quicker than the eye". If those scenario's can be avoided then it's all good. Considering the amount of things being added it seems like a good idea to me.- 1704 replies

Quite simply no. Any mod for Arma 3 will be plagued by the same if not more issues (it's a new engine) that the current mod has, it'll look prettier though, that's about it. I've been playing a lot of Arma 3 and it's amazing but I don't see what a DayZ mod in the engine will bring new to the table. The work being done on the SA at a base level will make it something very different from the mod and something a mod will simply not be able to emulate. This has been discussed an awefull lot recently though, I'll try and link you. -
How can I clean my pc from hacks/malware?

If you want to be sure then format your drives and reinstall your OS. It's the only way to be sure. It's a pain in the ass but then so are hackers. -

[Standalone Suggestion] Bases

I quite like it, although I see it more as a means of making a temporary fortification than a homebase. Buildings by their nature are pretty obvious places to set up a camp, I don't think I'd want to leave all of my precious loot in there only to come back 2 days later to see it all gone, even a well organised group would have issues hanging on to it.. I prefer the possibilities of making a secluded camp somewhere (possibly underground as discussed). That opens a whole new world of customisation and tactics. -

You can play for free. Download DayZ Commander (for free) and then choose from one of the thousands of free servers available. You should only be looking at setting up your own server if you're knowledgable about that sort of thing and have a lot of free time on your hands, it's hard work.
