    1st of all, never disable your filewall. 2nd you do not use play withsix for dayz, you use dayz commander. 3rd assuming you bought the through steam game u haven't even used the file system check list is provides for you. and i'm also sure it's been a long time since you've launched the game through steam, with that being said. open steam,right click arma 2, select properties, select local file tab, then select verify system cache. (do that to all the arma games in your library) Once you have done all of that and everything is accounted for you then must log out of steam then re open steam. Then you right click arma 2 and select play, Allow accept ok next anything that comes up, allow it to the main menu. then exit the game. do the same to arma 2 OA arma 2 BAF arma 2 PMC in that order, all the games must be launched at least one time per month through steam to get steams information from it's servers. once you have done that open dayz commander make sure direct 3d and close dayz commander when joining a server is checked, also make sure that the start up launch parameters are set correct with "-winxp" "-nosplash" "-world=empty" "-maxmem=2047" "-cpucount=(number of PHYSICAL CORES) you have, then make sure all the games are correctly in there right path directories, then you are ready to play cherro!
  2. It's a patching issues, your version isn't syncing up with the server you are trying to join. Downgrade your beta throught dayz commander, sarousaren, i'll do yours when your done installing These issues happen alot when huge patches are released, please be patient. usually always gets fixed right away.

    IM A BIRD

    Sweet jesus i thought this problem was lost long ago, havn't heard about the crow glitch in over a year, gj mate
  4. =DiG= Zgraphz

    So, I broke down and bought the game...question

    the best way to learn how to play dayz is tell everyone your friendly and watch how many times that gets u killed, then the grouping phase, you trust your partner to keep you safe, until u find something he wants, then he kills you and you feel your first betrayal, after that you become a soul-less merchant of death who has no moral of right or wrong, only thing left is to survive. then u become like us:)

    Low FPS! Help!

    MIND EXPLODES!!!!!

    Low FPS! Help!

    Keep inmind this is a copy and paste from a post i made earlier. The issue you are having is very unique which most games have never and mostly will never run the way arma 2 games run but seeing how dayz and arma 3 have made such a name, you can expect many great game in the future, so if you enjoy armas delightful design and gameplay then a Solid State Drive would highly benefit you in more ways than just one. The problem you are having is your 7200rpm HDD has mechanical moving parts, at 7200rpm just isn't fast enough. You see, arma 2 run's it's game through hundreds of Image files called PBO files, which have many different functions. Such as, Weapons,air,sound,water,environment,trees,grass,vehicles, skin models, anything and everything you see in arma 2 is because of those files. Now, arma 2 runs entirely off Indexing those PBO files, thats why a 7200rpm Harddrive cannot dish out the index fast enough for the processor and gpu, For example, your cpu and gpu are sitting there tapping their feet, waiting for the harddrive to give the data needed for the cpu and gpu to move forward at a stable rate. Now, 2 ways to do this, 1 being the one i recommend the most. Is buy a SSD set it up as a 2ndary harddrive and install only steam and all of arma games to it and use it as a gaming/video harddrive then use the HDD you have now as the main HDD that holds the OS and main system files. Or you could get a SSD to fit your entire computer on, though, i do not recommend that because the life of a SSD does not compare to the life of a HDD by any means, if a HDD burns, you can retrieve the lost data, if a SSD burns out, data is lost for ever, cannot ghost or retrieve data from a Burnt SSD. Hence the reason i strongly recommend it as a 2ndary!

    cant join servers

    Open steam right click arma 2, select properties, go to local file tab, select verify system game cache. (do this to all arma related games in your library.) Once you are done with that, launch the games in this order, Arma 2, Arma 2 OA, Arma 2 BAF, Arma 2 PMC, right click each one and select play. Make sure you run them everyone of them to the main menu. then try again.

    Installing Arma II, can't find setup.bin?

    switching to PM
  11. =DiG= Zgraphz

    Installing Arma II, can't find setup.bin?

    install team viewer, and lemme take a peek and see what is happening, i've done steam, amazon, retail. never done a gamer gate dl before. so i don't think very much people here have any knowledge on this issue, though being an IT im sure i can get you pointed into the right direction.
  12. =DiG= Zgraphz

    Installing Arma II, can't find setup.bin?

    I think in order for it to be a steam code it would have to be bought threw steam. thats why most people suggest you buy the game from steam and install dayz via dayz commander. the only way for that is if gamegate had a deal with steam and gives them a promotional code that steam would redeem but that would be pointless.
  13. =DiG= Zgraphz

    Installing Arma II, can't find setup.bin?

    yup, lol its that big of a problem, if a install shuts down like that it could be anything. and we'd be here for a day or 2 before we actually get any ground covered
  14. =DiG= Zgraphz

    Installing Arma II, can't find setup.bin?

    holy shit, do you have team speak 3 and team viewer 8? it looks like thats what it's gonna take to get this working. to make sure, you BOUGHT this game correct?
  15. =DiG= Zgraphz

    Here's my specs, wtf.

    How dare you say that. arma 2 IS NOT poorly optimized and has no issues with technology of today. lemme guess kevin your arma2/dayz is installed on your C drive, is that correct? and that c drive just happens to be a 7200rpm HDD, is that also correct?
  16. =DiG= Zgraphz

    Multiple Issues

    when you deleted it, steam/arma must have reacquired it thus implying that the file was corrupted, a simple system verify game cache would fix that issue.
  17. =DiG= Zgraphz

    Dayz Microstuddering

    im surprised your game is running great with a 2.4ghz processor
  18. =DiG= Zgraphz

    Cant' play DayZ with BAF/PMC/ACR installed?

    have you tried launching the games from steam?, you need to launch from steam every once in a while. try launching every game to the main menu and try it again PS do not use withsix for dayz games, make sure verything is typed in correctly and wat have you

    Low FPS ? - things to check

    nvidia ge-force gtx 660ti Intel extreme duo 72esi 64gig Mother Board Standard western 1TB digital Hard Drive 7200rpm 32Gigs of RAM 100Mbps Internet connection 850wat Thermal Lake powersupply Corsairs h55 Water cooler pump. You see that system spec, you'd think that would run Dayz like a champ. nope i had only 35 fps outside of cities and 15-25 fps in cities. I decided to make a few changes so pay attention to the change. nvidia ge-force gtx 660ti Intel extreme duo 72esi 64gig Mother Board Standard western 1TB digital Hard Drive 7200rpm 120GB Intel SSD(i installed Steam/arma/dayz) a 32Gigs of RAM 100Mbps Internet connection 850wat Thermal Lake powersupply Corsairs h55 Water cooler pump. now i get 70 fps no matter where i'm and that's with the settings on the highest possible, even tweaked my g-cards control panel for better image quality.

    Low FPS ? - things to check

    Let me school you all on the wounders of the world of ARMA, Changing the text files doesn't really do much of anything anymore(it's outdated) Useing the best system hardware is over rated. Why people think that dayz/ arma sucks, iit shouldn't suck because oh f me i have a good computer... why the f is it going so fing slow? hummm why is this happing, im gonna go look at a 100,000 other people asking the same question but no one is looking for the fing answer!. Its fing simple ladies and gentlemen. ARMA 2 REVOLVES AROUND INDEX SEARCHING!!!!!! hence the reason the enitre fing game is made up of hundreds of PBO files that are changed and modified for certain dlc's/missions/ guns/items everything, if your POS HDD isn't fast enough, it does not matter wtf you do to your setting, the game will always run like shit. u can have a beast computer, if your HDD is slow then your game is gonna suffer, i've played arma since 2009 i know every single little in and out that game has to offer, dayz even more so. FPS boosters, goahead( if you want your cd-key stolen) going out spending 400+dollars for a upgrade that didn't even make anything run faster... Get a SSD. get a gtx ge force 4 series or up, get a processor either Intel or AMD faster than 3.2 GHZ, and have atleast 6-8gigs of free ram. bam your shit is gonna run atleast 60fps on highest settings allowed, Lowest settigns allowed would give you about 115-125 fps. thank you ladies and gents good day!
  21. Ok, you put a system information list i've never seen anyone post before, so with that being said, good job. Another thing is that your HDD is not fast enough, your cpu and gpu are bottle necking with the arma index searching that arma 2 is so famous for, people blame it on the "fact" that arma 2 is poorly optimized, which isn't true, just needs a different way to play it, which most people are not used to. a 7200rpm HDD is not fast enough for dayz,These are the things that you need to make dayz a wonderful game. A 2ndary SSD would make all the difference, your graphic card is within limits, normally the game requires a processor of atleast 3.0ghz to play smoothly. You also would need to make sure everything is up to date, software+hardware makes a huge difference, settings in the game, should all be within reasonable limits, such as VIDEO MEMORY(Default) Post Processing Effect(disabled) Vsync(disabled) Atoc/PPA (0/disbaled) make sure your screen 3d resolution and interface resolution are the same ask your desktop. Ensure that the correct settings are set inside your dayz commander. Such as the startup launch parameters text box "-winxp" "-world=empty" "-maxmem=2047" "-nosplash" "cpucount=(number of Physical cores you have). and then yea if anyone ever says Arma2 has issues with AMD processors i will fing slap you, that is one of the dumbest thing i've ever heard in my life

    Multiple Issues

    ok im gonna do it for you, Switching to Private message.
  23. =DiG= Zgraphz

    Dayz standalone

    Steam is totally worth the reformat, it's your registry files not allowing steam to work, need to repair them, but that would take days, fresh install is the fastest+best way.
