ok what is the issue that you are having. You can uninstall/reinstall untill the cows come home, wont change a thing. Now, there are steps you need to take when this shit happens. First off, you always start out with the Steam verify game cache, after you do that, you then launch each game through steam to the main menu (every arma related game). Then, if problems still persist, then check your arma 2 OA for a folder called _DZC_CACHE delete the map you are trying to join. After you have done this, before launching the game make sure arma 2 beta and the dayz servers you are joining version numbers are correct, after that make sure you have the settings in dayz commander correct. Direct 3d- checked disable dayz commander when joining a server.- checked Startup Launch parameter's "-winxp" "-nosplash" "-Maxmem=2047" "-world=empty" "-cpucount=number of cores you have: (Example Mine is "-cpucount=4" because i have quad core). make sure to check mod version is the same as yours for updated servers (or downgrade to older patches, either way). if you got it off of steam, this should fix your problems, if it doesn't then you gotta make sure windows update has been updated recently for Framework Dll's. Set the exclusions on your antivirus program for steam, dayz commander and the entire arma 2 files and folders. Pick up the nearest blunt object, and beat the shit out of it.

the game runs off three main components, Your HDD, CPU and GPU. the reason the HDD is apart of the list is before arma 2 runs everything off files called PBO files, which are files that contain images that need to be indexed by the HDD. SSD usually are the top contenders in this field because they are much cheaper than high performance HDD, But, a SSD will not increase your FPS, what it does is it moves all 500Pbo files in a sec, instead of 3 secs with a normal 7200rpm. You would think well 2 secs isn't that big of a deal, over the course of 2 mins. it adds up, then bottlenecks, thats the reason why when you first join your fps is good if not decent but then it starts to drop. dual cores are neat, but i wouldn't ever get one. quad core and up is the best, the speed of the processor should be 3.0ghz (intel) 3.5ghz (AMD) and for graphic cards (Nvidia) Gtx ge-Force gtx 4 series and up (ATI) HD radeon 7 series and up... good luck mate

Ok first oh all, don't download the one from dayz commander. http://opendayz.net/threads/dayz-trinity-island-client-serverfiles.11324/ on first post its 0.5 thats the one you need, then you download it to a folder on your desktop, when it comes up for Winzip or Winrar you extract the rar or zip file into that folder on your desktop. Open the main folder DayzTrinnity_Trinnity Final, take out the @Dayz_trinnity and place it outside the DayzTrinnity_trinnity Final folder, then cut both DayzTrinnity_Trinnity Final and @dayZ_Trinnity and paste them both inside your arma 2 OA folder. Then if your still having problems launching to the game, go into your Arma 2 OA folder and look for a folder called _DZC_CACHE, open that folder and delete the @day_trinnity folder, then re launch it.

lol, open steam, right click arma 2, select properties, select local file tab, then select verify system cache. Once you are done with that, you then DO that to every single arma 2 related game in your library. once you have finish verify all their cache's, you then Launch the games from steams library ONE time to the main menu(all the games arma2,arma2oa,arma2baf,arma2pmc, (keep inmind you have to launch all the games AT LEAST ONE TIME) every month or so

its not that arma hates dual cores, most dual cores don't run over 3.0ghz, intel 3.0ghz would do ok, but a 3.0ghz AMD will not, if your on a budget, i suggest a i5 or a high end amd with 6 cores or more u can get i5/i7 fairly cheap if you look in the right places during holiday sales and weekend blowouts. Intel ALWAYS gives deals, and AMD has fast high end processor that are cheap but good speed.

SSD only fix fps issues if you have a good processor and GPU, if your processor is less than 3.0ghz and your gpu is older than GTX 4 series and or radeion hd 7 series and up. If you dont have those 2 then SSD wont do anything. you see SSD only helps the CPU and GPU when they are being overloaded, but your HDD isn't bottle necking your processor is bottle necking the gpu. get a good processor and a good gpu, then get a ssd then it will be fast

from there you should be able to gauge the type of settings you want

set everything to balance, aa method should be supersampling if you want higher image quality, use the ingame settings for the anisotopic filtering to your right settings, if you notice there are 2 formats of disabled, low,normal,high,highest/ 5,6,7,8 are for different formats, not sure but they are different sets, make sure u use the best for your gpu i have a nvidia and i use very high, maybe ATI might use 7 or 8, i heard 6 was good..Texture filtering quality should be higher in settings. Vsync should just be off. someone needs to take vsync out back and shoot it. Tessellation is boss for performance but set it to dirka dirka quality. maximum tess, should match the other one, openGL can go suck one. surface format optimization off. AA mod and samples is a hobo on crack when enabled, fast and amped up but totally unstable. but yah thats about it, and set the Filter to something more interesting that standard, nothing should be standard anymore.

theres 2 ways we can do this. get good quality screenshots of your Performance tab, Cpu tab and display tab. im trying to find one on google image but im not sure what version u got if you want me to optimize it for best fps i can do that, if you want it for fps/image quality, or pure image quaility at it's highest setting, i can do that as well.

negative ghost rider, they do not conflict. Now if you had a ramdisk with a a -mod= setup, thhen used steam to launch then a i can see an issue comming up, not sure tho. Man i remember the day'z where when the arma 2 launcher was tweekd with the -mod= and the good ol days of the Ghillie suit of death, 50/50% chance u either lived, or died
