I did, i tried talking to you and you never replyed. the best way for me to helpyou, would be for you to get Teamspeak 3 and team viewer 8. then tell me tell me your information and we'll get it sort out. i can talk your through it, but i dont have the time this week, TS and Team Viewer is the fastest and most certian way, because i could tell you to delete something, and you might end up deleting something you really need and then it'll make the entire situation that much worse. this way is is much more efficient

those are the dlc's if you do not have them, pay no attention to them, you only need arma 2 and arma 2 oa (pmc and baf are bonus dlcs)

open steam, right click all the arma 2 related games in your library, select properties then go to local file tab and select verify game cache. do that to all of them. then close steam out completely, then reopen steam, run each game to their main menu, in this order Arma 2/ arma 2OA/ Arma2 Pmc/Arma 2Baf. then exit from each one. then open dayz commander make sure everything is up to date. then run dayz.

Here you go. This is the best way to install all arma 2 games and dayz, and this is also the best way/ easiest way to keep updated. Plus you don't have to launch it through steam. first delete everything, delete it through steam, then open regedit and delete these files HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Bohemia Interactive Studio. then look in your files for arma 2 profiles and delete those. ensure everything arma 2 related is removed. then run windows update, to make sure you are update to date on most Net frames and all kinds of other crap. restart your computer. Then open up steam do not do that run as administrator crap. just open steam, right click arma 2 click install. in this order [ Arma2/ Arma2 OA/ Arma2 PMC/ Arma2 BAF ]. once you have done that. close steam out completely. Re open steam and right click arma 2, select play. Wait till you get to the main menu, then exit. (Do this to all Arma 2 related games in your Library) IN this order [ Arma2/ Arma2 OA/ Arma2 PMC/ Arma2 BAF ]. Once you have done that. Open/install Dayz commander. Once either one of those are done. click the install/update make sure arma 2 beta is updated first. once you have updated the arma 2 beta patch you then go into your settings tab (in Dayz Commander) Make sure your Direct3d 9 box is checked, close dayz commander(after joining a server) is checked. Additional launch parameters: "-winxp" "-nosplash" "-Maxmem=2047" "-world=empty" "-Cpucount=number of cores you have(example i have a quad core so i put "-Cpucount=4") ( more information here: http://community.bistudio.com/wiki/Arma2:_Startup_Parameters) make sure the arma/dayz directories are correctly placed,then you install Dayz. Once dayz is installed. you open up your servers tab and select a game, and join.

lol, omg i love these problems. people bicker back and forth as if its going out of style. Your problem is very simple mate, its a long story so sit back, grab a drink and get a bowl of pop corn. First of all when dealing with anything steam related you must first do these steps in order to make sure you are doing everything correctly. So, we'll start out with the basic's (if you did them or not, doesn't matter do it again). 1st. Open steam, then right click arma 2. Select properties, then go to the Local File tab, then select Verify Game Cache.in this order, Arma 2/arma2oa/arma2pmc/arma2baf. (DO this to ALL arma 2 related games in your library). close steam out completely. 2nd Open Steam again. Right click arma 2, select play (wait till you are at the main menu, then click exit) in this order, Arma 2/arma2oa/arma2pmc/arma2baf (DO this to ALL the arma 2 related game in your library)(NOTE: keep inmind you must allow,accept,OK,next any permission box that pops up). close steam out completely. 3rd. Open Dayz Commander. go to Install/update and make sure your arma 2 beta patch is correct/up-to-date, Go into your Arma 2 OA folder and Delete Dayz, Go back to Dayz commander, reinstall the new dayz. after you have done that, you then must click a random server with decent ping and people playing (to ensure server is actually connected) join the server till you see the Dayz logo or any logo hit esc and it will root you to the Main Menu, Open the Expansion Tab, Make sure the correct items are enabled, such as Arma2/Arma2oa/Arma2PMC/Arma2BAF,Beta/Dayz(or Arma 2 Dayz Mod)/expansion. (+ if your playing a custom map like trinity, BP, orgins, then those would need to be check as well). Once you have made sure they are all checked, you then proceed to step 4. 4th. Open your arma 2 OA folder and look for a folder called DZC_CACHE, Delete the map you are trying to join (example: im having weird problems with chernarus, i would delete the DayzChernarus folder). Once you have done that, then i would recommend, you run the Verify Game Cache (repeat step 1) because new files from first launch may have gone corrupted or damaged or lost. this is the basic crap, if this doesn't work, lemme know and we can hop on skype, ts and team viewer and nip this in the $$$

I understand games take time, i also understand the pressure that goes into these things for company's and people alike, but dont say its coming out in June or in a week. then produce nothing, they always says we need to get alpha out , we need to get alpha out, we need to test the server architecture, we need to get alpha out... they said a week and they said june. OK first of all it has nothing to do with updateing, installing or reinstalling, you can do all 1000000x and wont make a damn bit of differenece. what you need to do is launch dayz, when you see the DAYZ logo or any logo before entering a server hit esc. it will root you to the main menu. Open expansions and see if anything is disabled. things that should be enabled are Beta/arma2/armaPMC/arma2BAF/Arma2OA/Dayz(or arma 2:Dayz MOD/ expansions should all be checked. Now in order to do this u have to launch into the game from Dayz commander because it sets up the files correctly and automatically. So install dayz commander then make sure everything is updated. then launch the game and then hit esc and get to the main menu to check the boxes inside your expansion tab.

its not that they do not care, it's not their responsibility, when you buy the game, its your responsibility, to install it, keep it safe, and no give your information to anyone, ontop of that only thing they can help you with is Steam games and steam issues, these issues you are having are Bohemia related. With all that being said. You need to do everything in steps. Uninstall everything, Arma 2/OA/BAF/PMC/DAY/Dayzcommander/, then once you uninstall it out of steam, look in your search bar for arma2, Bohemia Interactive arma 2 profiles in your documents... Everything. then when you are done doing that. Open start bar, type in search Regedit.Open it and look for these strings: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Bohemia Interactive HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Bohemia Interactive Studio HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Dotjosh Studios HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Bohemia Interactive Studio (do not delete the one that has arma 3, Thats not related, it'll have DLCS not games) Delete those, then restart your computer. Once you have done that come back here and let me finish telling you what to do.

BAHHUMBUG!!!! first of all you can reinstall till the morther fin cows come home and it wont do s***. well guess what i'll tell you a little trick with arma, its a parasite when u try to uninstall it. to completely remove arma 2 from your pc you either do a fresh install of windows, OR you go into your registry files through regedit and look for anything arma 2 related, such as Bohemia Interactive files, theres atleast 8 of them in there. get rid of those after u uninstalled arma 2. look in your documents and look for arma 2 profiles, make sure everything is out of your program file, then DISK CLEAN UP!!!. then restart Open steam, Install arma 2 first, wait for it to install, then launch it. then exit at main menu. Open steam, Install arma 2 OA, Wait for it to install, Then launch it. then exit at main menu. If you have the DLC's like PMC and BAF install PMC first then launch it to main menu, then exit then install BAF, launch it to main menu, then exit. Once you have done all of that, you then right click arma 2 and arma 2 oa and select properties, then go to local file tab, then verify game cache, once both are finish. guess what? you install dayz commander. Once you have installed dayz commander, make sure your directories are correctly placed, make sure that you have the correct settings such as. Check direct3d 9, check close dayz commander (after joining a server) Addiitional launch parameters should have: "-Winxp" "-Maxmem=2047" "-nosplash" "-world=empty" "cpucount=#" (if you have a quad core u put 4 u got six core u put 6. jolly good! then you go to the update/install tab, make sure that arma 2 beta is updated, then install dayz. .50 cal Headshot!

Yes i can help you. Thats my video. um lets see what have you done already because seeing what you posted is not right. know what just install team viewer 8 and let me fix it for you. it'll be alot faster, and you'll be playing within 15 mins with atleast 30 fps

http://i.imgur.com/I7UgTAj.png Notice how texture and object detail are the same. always keep them the same, it's just weird to have one on low and other on high, like cars, the case of the car will look nice if object detail is very high, but if texture detail is low then the gauges and numbers, fonts and stuff look like shit. they have hardly any fps impact the terrian and shadow detail are the highest out of all the settings. Antialasing has 2 formats ati is :low-very high nvidia is 5-8 keep inmind your control panel settings for your graphic card have a huge toll on what happens, match the settings in your nvidia control panel to the settings in-game. recently nvidia released a update for their 500 series up with a software that called GeForce experience. arma 2 oa is in the list of games to have the system best optimized for the card(s) you are useing.... keep that in mind. O and vsync should be shot in the face O and its always a good thing to tinker around with the settings useing fraps, find a server u dont care about join and look into the trees and start changing settings and record the best average fps u get with certain setups, because, there are those days when u want straight up nice graphics, and others u don't give a damn, u just want to hunt. and servers also have a high impact too, if its a cheap server, your fps is gonna be crap no matter what you do. make sure to find servers, just look around and look for servers to see how well it runs, if it seems good for the first hour or less then u got a good server.

im kinda contradicting myself for years for saying this but actually having a lower 3D res actually gives u more overall fps, try dropping the 3d res to 1600x900

check direct 3d 9 box, check Close dayz commander (after joining a server) Dayz commander has over 6.800 servers, every 6 mins it refreashes, the time it takes to refreash all the server takes 4 mins. if that thing isn't closed when u play dayz, your bandwidth is being totally wrecked by dayz commander, massive lag. Startup parameters(additional Launch parameters) should have these, i took your cpu into consideration so copy and paste all of it do not leave any of the text out or do any spacing. Video editing, game designing, server build pc...etc tons of things u can do with 32gigs. Do me a big favor, take a screen shot of your Dayz Commander settings tab(fullscreened) and then take a screen shot of your in-game settings. There's something about arma 2 that makes it so unique. People say it's "poorly optimized" and "bad engine", but that isn't true at all. Everything you see and do in Dayz requires a PBO file. A pbo file is a file that contains an image that must be indexed by the HDD. Dayz unlike Arma 2 requires alot more PBO files, in some servers up to 500. How fast can a HDD move 500 files in 2 mins compared to a SSD that's 520R/500W? have you ever notice the Fps in the start is actually faster, then u feel as if it starts to drop? thats because ur CPU is starting to bottleneck the HDD for the indexed information. Even though your CPU shouldn't bottle neck on the HDD, the HDD just isn't giving the processor the indexed data fast enough for the processor to do it's job so it could then hand it off to the GPU, then, gets tossed to the RAM Gremlins. thats basically how arma 2 works, SSD+3.9GHZ 4core cpu+GTX-660ti+24GigsRAM=happy mother fing camper (not bragging here but this is to everyone who says arma is poorly optimized, in Cherno on chernarus, with 39 people playing, 7 of which are in Cherno i get 76fps average.) u really want your true fps stand 100m away from a rock or tree and zoom in on it, thats your true fps and another thing Fps issues are gonna be a thing of the past when stand alone releases. it's designed for lower end pcs but higher end pcs benefit the most in terms of fps and quality. so just wait for DayZ Standalone

Dayz needs 3 things. A CPU (Intel 3.0ghz+) (AMD 3.5ghz+) SSD(Solid State Drive) or a high performance Harddrive (ssd are cheaper). (Nvidia GTX 4+ Series) (ATI HD 7+series). thats for hardware. In-game settings, What they do, and how they affect your CPU and GPU. First off is Post Processing effect, Its a dimming application that is really meant for High end PC's / Dayz vets (Low/Normal) It blurs the distance image but make's it easier to see gun fire. Vsync, It's a settings app that controls the frame rate of your monitors refreash rate, In dayz, it throttles it down alot, for reasons i do not know. Video Memory, Is the games application settings to attempt to create virtual ram, which sucks, always keep it at Default. (basically it throttles your Ram). PPA/Atoc are smoothing applications, for higher image quality, in some situations in PPA\ (All trees Option).actually increases your FPS by 3-5. Atoc is a line smoothing App, it makes object up close seem very life like, at a small if non fps loss, Though i do not recommend these settings unless you are achieving at least 50-60 FPS at that point you got "FPS to Spare". View Distance- has been upgraded to 4k instead of the old 1600. keep that in mind. 3d resolutions/ interface resolutions should match your native Desktop setting. (example, My desktop is 1600x900, so both my 3d/interface resolutions are 1600x900) Object detail\Terrain detail, and texture detail should be set to your liking, shadow detail has a huge performance hit so disable that, i know it looks super fing awesome but at the cost of fps, not worth it. Both of the filtering apps should either be disabled or tested with fps from Fraps to see if they do any performance impact on your pc, Note antialiasing has 2 formats low to very high and 5 to 8, I've notice that nvidia cards use the 5 to 8 format and ati uses the low to very high format. Other than that stick it on a SSD, if you dont have the money and have a high amount of ram then use a ramdisk. Good luck
