Post processing effect, antialasing, antistrpohic filter, vsync, Video memory *default* HDR *Normal* Shadow *yourchoice* Visablity 10k, everything els on high! or very high, make sure your interface resoulution is the same as your desktop and the 3d res is the same as your interfafce... then you just watch my video. which is right here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IdbVingLjPE

do this exact thing. #1. Uninstall everything (arma 2+OA+Dayz) *all files and folders that dont get deleted when it's uninstalled* Do this by typing arma 2, dayz operation arrowhead in your start search bar and delete all that retain to arma 2+OA+Dayz. Then run Disk Cleanup. #2. Open your steam, Install arma 2. Once arma 2 is install, close steam. Reopen steam, click arma 2, Play Arma 2. Go all the way to the muilitplayer tab. then exit back to steam. #3. Install Arma 2 Operation Arrowhead, once it's installed, you close steam. Then you reopen steam. select arma 2 operation arrowhead and select play operation arrowhead *NOT COMBIND ASSAULT*. Open the game to it's muilitplayer tab. I do not get that, how can you say ram disk dose not change the game effect of dayz? ramdisk changes the gaming graphics and it's preformance not just with dayz but arma 2 +OA aswell. have you actually used a ramdisk properly? i play on a PoS dell insprion dual core with some crapy radeon hd 6570 g-card with a processor at 3.1ghz with 8gb of RAM maxed and my computer plays better than my friend with some crazy as 12gb but it's16gb maxed computer that blows my computer away on every single game but arma2 and dayz the only difference is i use ram disk, so i wouldn't knock on ramdisk so much, and yes it would increase load and startup time if you couldn't take the extra 15 secs to cut the folder out and place it into a folder on your desktop when you are doing playing the game either for the rest of the day/night. your suppost to shut it down before you turn off your computer without ever clicking the load and save settings tab....

Basically you all may have realized that arma 2 is completely harddrive dependent, that being said you can have the best computer and still have poor graphics, but this is for people who have Lower standarded computers around 4gb-6gb-8gb-10gb systems if you really like dayz and you just want it to look more appealing then please watch my videos Dayz - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qmeLuCQXn-M Arma 2 OA - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GFsjex-_UQ0 If you play them both, all you have to do is just replace one file with the other... for example if you are playing dayz and want to play arma 2, you right click the @dayz file and cut it, then paste it back into the arma 2 PBO folder on your desktop, Then grab that arma 2 folder and paste it back into the ramdisk. then when you are done for the day you just right click the folder inside your ramdisk and paste it back into the pbo folder... it takes a max time of 1 mins which is totally worth it for the preformance boost you get from it. OK, If you are having trouble getting into dayz, Here is one sure fire way you can get in without any bullshit of any kind. 1st. Uninstall all of arma, arma2 OA, and all the dayz files, then restart your computer. 2nd. Open The arma2 launcher to install arma2( weather it be by steam, retail. etc) first u install arma2. once arma2 is installed open the game and run it till u get to the option menu. then log off. 3rd. Install Operation Arrowhead, once it is installed you do the same steps, Open arma2 Operation Arrowhead till you get to the option menu. then log out. 4th. Go to www.dayzmod.com. Download the Six updater with the six launcher. 5th. Once you have downloaded both Six Updater and six launcher(do not install dayz YET) you open up your Launch-to options in Operation arrowhead Combinded Assualt and you type -mod=@dayz -nosplash. 6th. After you have done all of that... then you install Dayz from six launcher. If you have windows 7 Steam does not need to be ran as Administrator, that apply to vista users, 7th. Ensure that all of your files are correct by checking in the addon folder that was made by Six Launcher and compare them to the latest beta patches from the alpha test download mirriors. After you have finished with this you should be able to log into the game right now and there should be no problems once so ever. i use steam to install arma2 and set launch options for dayz. thats it!. i always launch from six launcher. As six Launcher ping system doesn't work so i dont select any servers and i just hit launch and use gamespys server list. If you have any questions please ask
