if you have it on a SSD, then what is your graphic card and cpu sitting at? have you change the annyoing ass windows 7 pic-express power ouput "link safe" bull shit? that can throttle your card down to 50%

did you get the game through steam?

humm, when was the last time you started the games threw steam? every once in awhile, games through steam need to be ran to get updates from steams server's along with exspansions and battle eye, not to mention th "first Time setup" phase needs to be started every month or so to keep updated. thats why your script was working untill it became outdated

im not sure what your saying dayz commander doesn't work? Let me get all the chickens in a line here, you use a script command to launch dayz, because your dayz commander gives you a patch error? or just the wrong patch?

i agree, sandy briged is more easier to overclock and has lesss of a total graphic desire than the ivy bridge wants because u have a beefy g-card so its a good choice dont get me wrong but for raw gaming sandy is better, IMO, and yes the SSD is always a better choice than a stantard or even a high performanced HDD, i tend to think dayz is cpu,v-card,read&write speeds. everything is needed but it seems it hungers for those three parts.

humm, try sticking dayz on a ramdisk. the 7.2k rpm hard drives don't really have the read and write speeds that arma 2 needs in order to play. um type in youtube, "how to run dayz on ramdisk" and im sure you'll get it. make sure your dayz commander launch parameters are correctly set Visit this website for more information: http://community.bis...rtup_Parameters Or you can go get a SSD and stick the entire arma2 game on it, then it would increase by 100 fold

what are you using to launch?

go into steam. Right click arma2, select properties, go to local file tab and then select verify game cache. Do that to all the arma game's inside your steam libary. Once you have completed that, close out steam, then reopen, then right click arma 2 and select play. Click accept or allow for battle eye to complete updates, then go to the main menu, then log out. Do the same to all arma 2 games in your steam library. once that is done, open your dayz commander, refreash the files to make sure they are all there. select the server your trying to join, and make an attempt to join, if it works, great, if not, log out, then open your folder that contains the @dayz folder and the @dayz(mapname) you are trying to play. (if you are playing chernarus, it's just @dayz) and delete them, open dayz commander under administrator , and select the settings tab. Make sure the Dayz directory and the arma2 and armaoa have the correct file paths, make sure your startup paramters are correctly places Example: "-winxp" "-Maxmem=2047" "-world=empty". etc you can find the entire list at this website: http://community.bistudio.com/wiki/Arma2:_Startup_Parameters

ha, well i like to say ramdisk is a good option if u dont have the money for a SSD. If you were to install steam,arma everything under 30GB to your 60GB SSD, then turn off that annoying ass windows 7 pci-express power output "link Safe" bullshit, your g-card wont get throttled down to 50%. Then make sure your video card settings are set to performance, if that's what you want from Dayz. Then selecting the right options for it would also optimize your game play, at the loss of quality of image. How to change the settings for your PCI-E power out put: Open your Control Panel. Click Apply If you don't want to re install, you can always just do this option. Seeing how you can get good fps but just not consistently, then try the power output option before u re install. See if that helps you.

it's always a good idea to keep everything updated. If you bought this through steam, then you have to right click all the arma games, select properties, go to the local tab, and select verify game cache. Once you have done that to all of them, you simply just right click arma 2 and select play, wait till the main menu, then log out, do this to all the game's you have in your list that is arma related (beside's alpha's/beta's). Once you have done that, it's very important to keep drivers, software and hardware updated. That all include's security updates, NETFramework.dll's, it is also possible you may have a corrupted file inside your registry, it is possible to manually delete, and re install the registry keys, but i suggest if that has to happen, then you should do a complete 100% purge of everything arma related, including dayz commander and play withsix. then reinstall using a guide, to ensure proper alignment of files. I also suggest, you install them in the order they were released: Arma2/Arma2OA/Arma2PrivateMilitaryCompany/Arma2BritishArmedForces. what i would do is completely purge your computer anything arma related, even dayz and the dayz commander, all of it. install the game as administrator, then once the game is installed do not let it update, do the updates through battle eye and arma 2 manually and make sure you download them from the actual websites not dayz commander, once you installed them then u can use dayz commander to update them later on. gotta look up one google what the names are for arma 2 registry files, and we gotta delete those. then reinstall. Do you know how to use Regedit?

yea private hive servers work because their rule is different than the servers u are trying to join, which is why im thinking it more and more a battle eye problem because most battle eye problems do niot give you any kind of error message

it looks like your arma 2 registry file is battleing it out with the adobe registry files... lol, this is a war inside a computer.

well im not sure what problem you are having. There is a huge list of stuff it could be from this point. 1. Either your trying to join a set of servers that are not updated with you, or your not updated for them. 2. Your battle eye id could not be verifying that it's active. 3.The CD-key which has a copy inside your registry could be corrupted/installed improperly *not by users mistake,but threw installing process* or it downloaded a bad file through install. 4. The game path at which the game is directed inside your dayz commander has a huge impact in problems, gotta make sure the game paths on your drive match that of your dayz commanders game paths in settings. 5. Joining the arma2OA launcher the game provides, go into profile and edit something then save, then check exspansions to make sure that all arma games are checked, do not enable anything dayz related, so things that should be check are Arma, arma2, arma2OA arma Private Military Company, Arma2British armed forces. then exit once all these are check then try it again. 6.clean and defrag your registry, make sure all drivers and net framewokrs are all updated. This should, at the very least, get you closer to solving this. try all of this if you already haven't, and let me know

lol, follow these instructions to the T! open steam, select all arma 2 games u have, right click them, go to properties, then go to the local file tab, select verify game/system cache. Right click arma and select play. wait till you get to the main menu, then log out, do the same to arma 2 Operation Arrowhead, then again to the DLCS if you have them. so the order it goes in is : arma/arma2OA/Arma-Private Military Company/ ArmaBritish Armed Forces. once you have verify them all then played them all to the main menu... try again

That just means your version of the game is conflicting with that of the server you are trying to join, if it's not exactly that, it's along those lines, something you have isn't matching up with the server, or maybe your more updated than the server, which happens alot. so make sure your version and beta #'s are the same or close, if not, then you have to change those through the option on dayz commander to roll back to a older version.

The best thing to do is keep dayz and arma in different areas, when i launch arma 2 i use the Icon inside my steam folder located inside the steamapps/common/arma2 folder, it says arma2OA, that's how i launch arma, for dayz, i use dayz commander. cannot launch dayz to play arma or vice versa.
