MISSING Loadout Your presence here was the consequence of a failing aircraft engine caused by nuclear fallout. Most of your supplies are now scattered amongst the burning wreckage somewhere in the wilderness. The plane contained a backpack, a weapon and ammunition, some medical supplies and a change of clothes. It will not be easy to find without a map or markers, only smoke gives away its position. There are others too, and with any luck they also may have something of value... try to Stay ALIVE!

The Rich get Richer... Even in these dayz there are the wealthy merchants, exploiting survivors for cash they cannot spend. Though the trader(s) provide a safe haven for weary travelers, so a deal is always sought for respite from hell. This civilisation is all that's left in this world that's almost human... Stay ALIVE!

DAM them to HELL Some settlement has taken place upon the Dam; a border between the bandit belt and the North. Although intended to be a safe harbour, the people whom live there toil endlessly with hostiles from the nearby camps. An opportunity to kill, for fun or food I guess...? Stay ALIVE!

Turning the SCREW Surviving this desolate landscape amongst the dead and the bad isn't easy. But the status quo is becoming ever more challenging. The temperature has dropped another 10 degrees within the last 6 months. Loot is becoming rarer by the day. And the use of thermo-nuclear weapons has caused the collapse of the natural world. Armageddon is a foregone conclusion. Will humans survive the end-times? Will you be the one to salvage humanity from the brink of annihilation? Stay ALIVE!

I'd like to address the presence of BS on Namalsk: I'm anaspeptic, frasmotic, even conpunctuos to have caused you such pericombobulation. They are there to provide some risk to some areas. Because of their spawn method on the server I believe they don't have an unreasonable impact on the difficulty or the general mood; if anything they create panic in some, or a hunt for others. Chernarus will benefit from my own desire to really explore an apocalypse in a more realistic manner. There will be no blood-bags, canned food, traders or BS as I personally feel they are alien to the circumstance I'm setting. My Chernarus is further into the future, when all mankind is virtually extinct, when food has run out, where the weather is hazardous, where the Ai are deadly, where guns are rare, where the landscape is under turmoil and where cooperation with, or conquering thy fellow survivor is debated.

Hey Kamee Hamee Haaa, I'm the admin of the FINALdayZ survivor servers. When I started playing DayZ I was very taken by the hardcore survival aspects. But without the ability to settle I was restless, until Epoch was developed. I was very excited to play a version of DayZ which allowed the ability to test your own plan when attempting to settle amidst a zombie apocalypse. But I quickly found that most servers catered for the majority whom prefer instant gratification and military hardware. Traders, map markers, way-points, starting kits etc all diluted the experience so much that I decided to learn how to script and make my own server without ruining DayZ. So FINALdayZ was born. I have been posting on a regular basis for the last two years trying to raise the servers profile; first on the Epoch forum (which generated little interest), then here on the DayZgame forum (which has been more successful). I have many committed players who play regularly, though I cannot boast huge popularity due to the servers hardcore nature. The server is based on Namalsk. If that's not your cuppa; presently I'm developing a new, harder server based on Chernarus. It will be a few more weeks before it's officially opened, though it's in a playable/joinable state if you want to have a look. If you want to come join us then I'd recommend joining the forum. You'll be able to meet some of the other survivalists as you may need assistance to begin with; it's a steep learning curve for many (self reliance that is ;)). Hardcore is an unwelcome environment, it's not for everyone. If you're a real DayZ player then you might make it. If you're used to Epoch in its most common format then you'll be dead within hours (or most likely a lot less).

Watch his journey across the frozen isles in search of his friends. I figure another 20 minutes and he'd have frozen to the spot. At least he knows where not to go...

If you want hardcore survival then please have a look at FINALdayZ. We have a great active community with some of the hardiest players in DayZ. It isn't vanilla and it is Namalsk, but it does take inspiration from the hardcore nature of vanilla. Presently I have another server in development which will prove to be the toughest server ever created (a confident statement I'm sure). It is based on Chernarus and will feature some very tricky elements designed to test even the best players. I aim to have it mostly completed within the next few weeks. I will update my advert when officially released. HARDCORE ftw!

Last ORDERS The bandits of Namalsk have themselves a brewery. Beer can be used to fashion medicines as well as quench thirst. The bandits will defend their territory vigorously so case the area, plan your move and keep aware or beware. There are also a few vehicles there for the taking...good luck. Stay ALIVE!

YouTUBE One of my recently snared players has a grand YouTUBE channel where his tales of woe and revenge in DayZ are gathered for your viewing pleasure. It appears he was not prepared for the savage environment he found himself within and his panicked cries are like tears of joy to me; it means that I'm doing something right...

Your experience is of paramount importance to me so I'm thrilled to hear that you are deadly confused. The sign at the spawn gives clues to what to expect, as does the Emergency Broadcast you can hear there, listen to it very carefully. There are a few guides on the forum but I do encourage discovery rather than guiding, after all that's what's best about gaming. But generally right clicking on anything from cans to weapons, tools to medicines will discover crafting recipes. And thanks for the kind words my friend. That really makes my day :D

Yo, Punisher5795. To answer your last question first, Yes, these servers are secure. I have a passion for this game and its hardcore nature, I have put, perhaps 1000's of hours not only into coding, but also thinking about the gameplay, and new ways I can distress my players. I have been hosting for two years and I am here to stay. There's only one rule: No Hacking. The rest is up to you. PvP+PvE. The Namalsk server is my home and resides in EUR. But I am developing a second server on either Podagorsk or Chernarus in an attempt to simulate nuclear holocaust effects against the backdrop of a zombie apocalypse. This server will be US based. It isn't complete yet, testing continues in earnest.

The DEADzone During the outbreak many fled to the airfield hoping to escape the undead nightmare. Their rusting vehicles paused in time as their attempts to flee failed. Better than LIFE Few of us enjoy the simplicity and calm of a rustic existence, particularly when most are dead or undead. When the day is spent and your legs are weary of roaming the world what better place to unwind than a house by the shore, creature comforts included. There are several of these abandoned homes awaiting brave new inhabitants... Stay ALIVE!

They're not too bright eh? AMAZING! The cargo containers littering Lubjansk seem to meander a hidden path towards the large industrial building. But it is unclear whether they were trying to prevent access or escape. The only way to know for sure is to solve the maze. Curiosity never did any harm? Stay ALIVE!

This discussion should be held on the forum. It is an interesting and important topic which provokes strong feelings from players. INTO the WILD Namalsk is a survivalists dream. Rugged terrain and challenging weather ensure that only those individuals with the right skills will survive. On the southern isles there are wildmen, their survival down entirely to self reliance. They can be called upon to aid weary travelers, they can drive and will shoot hostiles including zombies. Their homes recognised by the meat stands... Stay ALIVE!

NEW Server Available FINALdayZ Battle Royale is an extreme survival mod that plunges players into a bloody game mode where only the crazy, the brave and the foolish come to be champions. Based on the book/movie Battle Royale, this mod provides a unique gameplay experience. The rules are simple. Everybody spawns inside a barn, with backpacks containing food, drink and some guns, authentic to the original story. You are locked in place, and after a countdown, it's every man for themselves! ElectroMagnetic Pulse Thought not directly harmful to humans, an EMP blast will disable electrical devices and can, in some cases cause an overload of the systems producing any number of abhorrent affects. A by-product of the nuke, the EMP will cause some vehicles to become unstable and may cause a fatal shock. There's no warning as to when this may happen, therefore what once felt completely safe is now potentially deadly. Stay ALIVE!

BLOODSUCKERS Military areas have become overrun by these foul creatures. Only the nuke can eradicate the menace, but that may take some time to strike. Until then you'd best avoid certain valued areas. Unless you're prepared and/or monster hunting, or this'll be the last thing you'll see... Stay ALIVE!

When the outlook is bleak I feel more alive and fight harder to stay so... AMBIENT Ageing There are several ambient sound effects buried within the world to scare and warn players about their environment. All senses must be engaged to assist surviving these dayz... Whenever a bridge such as this in encountered it's wise to use all your senses to gauge its strength. Crossing within a vehicle is surely a risky endeavour given the sounds it makes. Stay ALIVE!
