I don't trust people I can't slap in RL. So, if I could convince one of my gamer friends to jump in I might play with them. And no offense, I'm not risking my 20 day character to play with some random "kids" (I'm over 30), who I might hardly be able to relate to. So far, I'm enjoying the immersion of surviving alone, and my experience has been mostly untainted by hackers, and maniacal grief troll COD kids. IMO this makes the game more playable, the way it "should" be played. You know, surviving....

As a lone wolf I have fixed a few vehicles, but find many more to steal. The best vehicle for me right now is the motorcycle, and most of them "self repair". I often find motorcycles in one particular spawn location, which is a mislabelled location for a different vehicle on the Wiki....

grats on 20 days. im on 18 days myself. 940 Zombies killed 0 murders, 0 bandits killed, avoided numerous attempts on my life, and had the opportunity to snipe players I've stumbled across, and decided to just leave them be. I've found some reliable motorcycle spawns, and use them to collect ammo for my M16ACOG and PDW.

Cue guy this hardly applies to. Lone wolf mountain man sees few people, let alone hackers. Wouldn't take weapons from a crate either.

I have noticed some unusual long distance aggro, most often when I am in a valley or slight downhill from a zombie facing me. Mostly though, I feel like zombie aggro is fixed. If they have "poor vision" with tunnel vision properties, then imagine a "cone of awareness" in front of them, and a pattern can be crept through crowd. And, if their "aggro timer" is longer you can alert them to a sound near by but not fully aggro them, while creeping by rather close. That's how I see it from a gameplay perspective as I'm not super technical....

This bug has given me a self repairing motorcycle for over a week now. Weeeee!

17 days 900+ ZOMBIES killed. 0 murders 0 bandits evaded 3 invisible assailants attempting to snipe me, and one guy who tried to intercept me in his pickup while I was approaching the airstrip on my motorcycle. I watch as man tears himself asunder, waiting for order to rise from chaos. I need a mountain man/Unibomber skin.

I think 2 types of vest, and no helmets would be good. Similar to what Vindicator posted above, but I also think you should get a default 5 sec knock out timer on first impact for anything except pellets, with no blood loss.

I lost gear to a hacker, and the next day, a guy picked me up on an ATV and I told him my story. Next thing I know, he spawned my old gear in my bag, plus extra stuff. That's how I discovered I met a "friendly" hacker. Long story short, I refused to play with him, and burned everything he gave me that was "extra" (AS50, Ghillie....) in a fireplace. I still have the replacement gear on my 16 day old character now though. I feel a little guilty about getting my rifle back this way, I had most everything back again even before meeting the hacker, and I dropped the M9SD he gave me for a PDW I found eventually. I guess my precious M16ACOG "shouldn't be". :(

Yeah, so needing a good scare and being a little inspired by the urban legends I decided to make a quick night time visit to Green Mountain tonight. I rolled up from the NE and parked 125m from the tower, in the woods. Standing near the road, I watched from less than 100m away as nearly 10 freshly spawned zombies began to disperse. Only 2 of them were walking in my direction, which just seemed odd. Almost as if there was something else for them just on the other side of the hill. I headshot one zombie with my PDW, and he falls. I headshot the 2nd zombie walking towards me, and he keeps walking. Another headshot, still walking. 4 fast rounds center mass, doesn't even flinch, WTH!? At this point, I thought I heard my character make an usual and faint moaning sound, but I chocked it up to hearing the sound Zombies make when being shot. Zombie number 2 finally aggroes from the sound of the gunfire as he has closed almost half of the gap between us. I back up towards my bike, reloading, my first round from the new clip finally drops him. I stood there for a moment confused. Something wasn't right. There was no more Zombie aggro, and at that moment, not even a zombie in sight, but I felt like the mountain itself would swallow me up at any moment. Just at the peak of my most irrational moment my character DID let out a very distinct and unusual fear laced moaning sound. Which freaked me out, 400%. Now I remembered Dreganius speak of intense infection after visiting Green Mountain, and fearing the moan was a sign of exposure, and thoroughly scared, I hastily mounted my motorcycle and flew off the mountain to relative safety. After this, I decided that heli crash sites and deer stands would be a much better way to spend my evening. I searched 12 heli crash spots and no heli's found, and 6 deer stands with 1 stanag clip from a zed for my trouble. No coughing, so I guess I'm not infected. *phew*

I've had the same self repairing glitch spawn motorcycle for almost a week now. I'll be sad when it's gone.

I did not have any problems with artifacts for quite awhile, and now I see them more and more. Today I found most military locations unapproachable. Rockets twitter made it sound like the fix is a priority.

Hey, "thatguy" (in game name). Is that you with the pickup truck, shooting at me at the NE airstrip as I rode up on my motorcycle? Are you stalking me? I'm not leaving that server until vehicles are fixed so, I guess... catch me if you can.

I don't need to force quit, if you never find me. 2 weeks in, and I'm getting nervous. 800+ kills, I would like to see 1,000. Someone took some shots at me just 2 days ago.... When some murderer see's me before I see them, I could easily be killed. And if I am shot and killed, so be it. Come to think of it, if it wasn't for hacker death 2 weeks ago, my character would be going on a month old. I haven't been in a PvP exchange in almost that long.
