    Castle´s, military bases and stuff.

Castles do not spawn much loot in my experience. And if you want to snipe like every other wanna be soldier boy, just go to Cherno or Electro, and kill a geared up player. That's what everyone else does.... why not you too!? Personally, I collect my gear, through looting. But yeah, tents at Stary, tents at Berezino.
  2. This. GO into Game options, choose debug, break health indicators.

Are you tired of hacker bandits?

As nice as the concept sounds, it's really only a drop in the bucket And unfortunately, it's flawed logic. No amount of hacking is "ok".
  4. I'm not sure how this will work when using commander but.... You can manually copy the new version over the old, simple copy paste. Find the folder where the DayZ files are, if steam version, the path should be C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\arma 2 operation arrowhead\@DayZ\addons, delete old files, and paste new in same folder. If you use Six Launcher, you can do this manual patch AFTER verification.

    1.7.2.6 Debug .. Bug

Confirmed. Logged on hungry, changed UI, all is green now. Thought it cured my hunger.... guess not.

Thanks, Rocket! Would be nice if Six Launcher were up to speed though. Oh well, no biggie....

Poll: Reason to why you would leave DayZ?

Now you can go F off. I'll make sure some idiot makes your morning commute an atrocious torture, and then you can shake his hand for it. Makes me a bad person, because some clueless tool has no regard for other peoples personal space? LOL! Now who is making unfair moral judgements? After your last response it's obvious you don't have the SPINE to stand behind your convictions. You don't think I have been back stabbed? Didn't turn me into a jaded murderer though, did it? Also, it's obvious that you don't let any of what I say sink in, and will defend your right to play as a "bad guy" even in the face of perfectly acceptable facts regarding play style choice. If everyone jumps off a bridge, do you follow? You just shot a medic, grief or no grief? Whether you knew he was a medic or not, you chose the path of a murderer of innocence. As much as I enjoy a good debate, I am truly done with this. Say what you want about my mother, or make all of the personal slights you like, you will be talking to the wall. This quote is for Hetstaine (though he may never see it).... "The earth starts to rumble World powers fall A warring for the heavens A peaceful man stands tall Tall, tall" Megadeth - Symphony of Destruction This is DayZ. This is MY story.

Poll: Reason to why you would leave DayZ?

In a game with open ended goals, my logic applies. It is up to you how you conduct yourself in game, no matter what your motivations. If you are going to KoS some of what you do is griefing because if you don't take the chance to confirm friendly, you'll end up killing benign survivors in the wake of your paranoia fueled blood lust. And yes, I can think you're a Jerk, without hating your guts, man. If I was that black and white in my thinking, I would have gotten into 100's of fights on the subway to work, because I would hate every jerk who plays horrid techno on blaring headphones at 7:30am. If they get hearing loss from the loud music, I have little sympathy, because of the negative impact they have had on my experience. Is that a clear enough analogy? Yeah, um, Counter Strike? Really, dude? I've never played it, so excuse me if I draw a few assumptions here.... Spawning into a platoon of like minded players, geared up for an assault on an equally prepared group, has very little in common with average DayZ play. Unless you find other groups or individuals looking for the same thing like clan on clan competition for superiority on a server. I log on to DayZ assuming that the instant I log on, I could be killed in many ways. I walk Chernarus full well knowing and accepting my imminent demise. At this point I'm interested to see just how long I can hold on as a mountain man. I too was tempted to try some bandit hunting, and I will likely look for some "action" versus bandits the next time I die. But like you I am aware that the humanity mechanic and skins are broken, so I am less interested in this path then I would've been. I agree with Rocket that there should not be any big penalties for choosing a play style, and that you all should be free to choose Good v Evil without "magical" repercussions. There is a different thrill in trying to confirm friendly, and an added thrill when you have those rare spur of the moment team ups. I protected a noob in a barn after he proclaimed friendly and helped him gear up before he went off to meet a friend. He provlaimed it as "the greatest thing thats happened to me in DayZ", and that only reaffirmed my goal to not be a bandit. Sometimes when you describe your motivations, it's as if you are looking to be "let off the hook" because you believe that gearing up as fast as possible is the "best way to play". Well patience is a virtue, not often found in people of any age. I take great pride in that I looted all of my gear myself, FINALLY finding NVG's, FINALLY finding GPS, totally worth the time spent searching, searching, searching, and increases my desire to just survive, even more, because I value my character who I have worked so hard to improve.

Poll: Reason to why you would leave DayZ?

Oh Sil, you've misunderstood again. I don't hate anybody that snipes me or tries to snipe me, that's part of the game. But if your whole goal in game is to try to be a murderous bandit, then yes chances are you are a griefer on some level, whether you're comfortable with that or not, doesn't enter into the equation. Griefing is banditry, and vice versa, no way around it. Therefore, if you're constantly trying to do harm and then don't have patience or maturity to work around the artifacts, but instead come here to QQ, and never add anything constructive otherwise, i have little sympathy for your plight. I don't take it personally, but when you run around the game like a malicious child killing everything that moves because you can't see the benefit of role playing, then you might as well play cod.

Poll: Reason to why you would leave DayZ?

Yeah well, if you can't fantasize enough to place your morals on your character, I feel bad for you. You are ridiculously thick headed, Sil. To the point of absurdity. Yes I mentioned Stary and Berezino, how does that change the point of the entire paragraph those names were mentioned in? I actually think you might be trolling now, I can't believe someone could be this pointlessly contradictory without doing it on purpose. The personal impact on me if I had to murder someone in a game, would be minimal. I merely uphold what I value in the game, my survival, and the survival of other friendlies. I would not lose sleep over killing pixelated people, god knows I've done it a million times, again this is you, being ridiculous. "Fighting other players is part of the game." - But, it's not the entire game now, is it? And if that's the only satisfying aspect of this game for you, there are many more fully functioning FPS games without the glitches and less hackers, where you can get your rocks off. Also, you'll have more people to play with and better snipers/FPS people to compete against. Tell me I'm wrong there. "You don't give a crap that people have technical difficulties with the game because they've killed you in a PvP game that you voluntarily play and that you can turn off at any moment? What sort of logic and morality you have?" This is also ridiculous. If you are a murderous maniac, who does not "give a shit" about whether my survivor lives or dies, why in the hell would I care if you can gear up at Stary, or Berezino? The morality behind not caring for the feelings of malicious whining bandits, does not compare with making a choice not to be a murderer. If that sentiment causes you grief, you'll get about as much sympathy from me as you give to the survivors you kill, which is none. See how that works?
  13. ☣BioHaze☣

Poll: Reason to why you would leave DayZ?

I do put myself "above" the KoS crowd as it is obviously the moral high ground from any perspective. If you suspend your disbelief, and allow yourself to be fully immersed, you are more likely to make decisions in game that match your real life decisions. If being a cold blooded murderer is in your nature, then I'm wrong in this regard. But, most people put in a survival situation would not arbitrarily kill each other. Even war torn third world countries don't descend into chaotic every man for himself killing sprees. The people involved in Genocide don't respawn on the Liberian coast, so they keep the abject murder contained amongst warring clans, or villages, not dug in somewhere killing innocents who are trying to get groceries. And, I WAS talking about all areas that spawn military loot, and I definitely had deerstands in mind. You can't change that by denying it. I stated, "I do care about the problems with the game, even when they don't effect my game as much." - this is "giving a shit", by any definition of the term. Alas I'm admittedly callus to the "suffering" of others who I perceive as murderers, because they have no regard for the value of my survivors life.

Poll: Reason to why you would leave DayZ?

Calling someone a Jerk, in the english language, is not an enormous slight, and no where near calling someone an asshole. I do care about the problems with the game, even when they don't effect my game as much. You seem to disregard the tenor of my statements and supplant my ideas with your shallow perceptions at every turn. This makes conversation with you ultra tedious as I have to elucidate on all of my outstanding points. If I haven't been clear to you, it's not my fault that your interpretations are lacking. I'm not "better", you used the word better. I just stated that I wasn't a murderer, like you.... argue that! You speak well for English as a second language, but your reading comprehension or ability to empathize is severely lacking. And to Spart248, search for similar topics, and you'll find all of this content and more was posted 1,000 times prior. So yeah I have no problem with the poll, and a poll doesnt mean ANYTHING to anybody. Rocket himself has expressed great displeasure with all of the problems you have. There is no amount of forum threads that will drive the point home harder. Personally, I don't respond to all of these threads as that would indeed be useless, but every 100th time I see the same thread (fix the bugs, hackers suck!", a small part of me says, "stfu and gtfo already!".
  15. ☣BioHaze☣

Poll: Reason to why you would leave DayZ?

Wow it took you this long to degrade into a name calling piece of shit, huh? Please quote me where I called you an asshole, baby boy. "And if a problem that made you leave hasn't been fixed yet, your complaint is valid." Wrong. Say it once, say it twice, say it 3 times even, after that wtf are you still doing here? "I'm just telling you, if your goal is not to get killed (without staying away from towns and people) then KoS is the best option." Wrong again, but it seems this is a cyclical argument, not worth pursuing. "I could have over 40 days now if I'd take pleasure in playing the most boring game ever." Boring is a matter of opinion, a concept you seem to have trouble with. So again, cyclical argument, not worth pursuing. Next? "Deerstand and crashes. I knew you'd bring that up. First it's military locations then it's all places with military loot. Backpedal more." My quote said, "many military spawn locations which are glitch free." now tell me MY definition of "military spawn location", ass. The locations dont spawn, the loot does. Tryharder. I don't blame people for KoS, but it is directly up to the player to pull the trigger or not. KoS is a vicious cycle, one that many people have broken out of in search of a more gratifying interaction with their fellow man. This started with a civil discourse on the subject at hand, and with the unprovoked name calling you've now stooped to the level of an adolescent. Have fun!
  16. ☣BioHaze☣

Poll: Reason to why you would leave DayZ?

    1) Because be it a day or a week ago, once you say your "final word" and leave the game, you no longer have new experiences with the game, and therefore have nothing new to offer to the conversation except never ending complaints. 2) Here we go again with the KoS is the "best way to play" crap again, Mr. Sil. Apparently NOT for me, as I have survived 20+ days with my latest character. At the very least maybe we can agree that this game falls into the genre "survival horror", so I'm doing a decent job of surviving, regardless of multiple attempts on my life by murderous people like yourself. If you are impatient, then by all means go back and forth with the gutless murderers trading rounds in skulls for the same backpack. You might find what I do boring, but I don't need you or any other player telling me "the best way to play", I found the way I prefer to play, and it just so happens to be a way that avoids many of the things you all complain about. 3) I did not experience the GFX glitches until fairly recently, and I have had some decent results with flush and changing settings personally. I frequent the tents at Stary and Berezino fairly often. Sometimes if I server hop, the GFX problems go away too. It seems you have forgotten the existence of Deerstands and Heli Crash sites, but I assume that's too much trouble for you based on how important you seem to think it is to save time in your never ending cycle of shoot, loot, die, repeat. You all can KoS, I never said you shouldn't, but I will defend the idea that it is not the end all be all of DayZ strategy. The down side to KoS, is encouraging KoS, IMO.
  17. ☣BioHaze☣

Poll: Reason to why you would leave DayZ?

Yes it does matter how recently you have played in terms of how much you should contribute to the progression of a games development. If that doesn't make sense to you, then your grasp of logic differs greatly from mine. Your type of feedback is bouncing off the walls and phase cancelling itself, pointless at this juncture. I understand if you have made friends here, and want to still be a part of the board, that's great. But to say that repeating the same thing over and over is productive, doesn't make sense. The way I choose to play avoids PvP which in turn avoids hackers (I was nuked once). Sorry if your rampant killspree deathmatch fun (if thats what you do) is ruined by a like minded person who would rather push button kill you all, then have to actually aim a weapon, and fire, but you're the same jerks who would kill my 20 day character for little to know reason whatsoever, so my sympathies are jaded at best. Glitches are a problem sometimes, but I find many many military spawn locations which are glitch free. Sorry if your loot bloated PvP hotspots are useless to you now, still not a problem for me. You may perceive me as some sort of "fanboi" but the fact is I am a an older, longtime gamer, who very rarely gets hooked by a game anymore, and it takes a unique experience to inspire me to stay in a game for more than a couple of weeks. Ever since I played BioHazard in March of '96 I have been waiting for this game. A giant open world, sandbox style, survival horror game, and to see one that's an MMO as well, was the icing on the cake. I've done some testing for Nintendo and Ubisoft in the past, thanks. And, I'm testing just as much as you are "mate". Playing an Alpha is one way it's tested. Am I missing something? And before you start the name calling, and labeling of people, it would help to know a little something about that person you are addressing.
  18. ☣BioHaze☣

Poll: Reason to why you would leave DayZ?

The argument is, if you stop playing, you're no longer contributing to testing, therefore if you have said your piece about why you left you should then remove yourself from the discussion until you are directly involved again as you will have nothing new to contribute. If you're bothered enough with current problems to stop playing, then you should (for the most part) wait patiently and quietly. You are owed nothing by DayZ, and you all are basically yelling at your monitors, "fix glitches, get rid of hackers!". Big help there. *Bonus: Newsflash for those who aren't paying attention, hackers will ALWAYS be in the mod. It's also likely that the standalone will see hacking as well (but at a far lower rate). If you can't handle hackers in your game to some degree, you should not be playing online.
  19. ☣BioHaze☣

Poll: Reason to why you would leave DayZ?

If you stop playing the game, the impact of your opinion on said game diminishes, period. IMO, all of the people who don't play anymore SHOULD step away from the forums as well, if they have nothing constructive to offer. Apparently a certain demographic of ex-players feel the need to whine and whine and whine while they wait for a patch or the standalone. This just makes them enormous tools. The people who left the game mostly left due to the bugs and hackers. (thread end game achieved) While I appreciate their frustrations, clogging this forum with their pointless BITCHING accomplishes nothing.
  20. 1) It took me 2 minutes to read your post, and one to reply. It speaks to my intelligence in that I can display the rationality of a person playing a game that is currently still in development without bitching every time things aren't working the way they should. How does it speak of your intelligence to create this thread in the first place? 2) How does it speak of your intelligence to make a thread that's horribly redundant and accomplishes NOTHING, knowing full well when the next update is slated to drop? 3) Agreed that negative and positive feedback both have a place in the community. Fact is, ANOTHER one of these threads proves nothing past your lack of patience or understanding for what the devs are dealing with. Do you really think anyone of any consequence will read this thread before the 10,000 other threads on the same subject? Do you really think that your rehash of the same subject will garner new revelations about the current problems, or spur the devs in more? They all tuned you out after QQ thread number 1,467. 4) Dude you are obviously not happy with the game currently = not happy with DayZ, thats where I got it from. The simple solution, take a break, find a game you like that isn't broken. If you don't have the patience for all aspects of this games development (promo tours count, sorry), you shouldn't be playing an Alpha. 5) These last few weeks of DayZ history will be long forgotten soon enough, and when you look back at your bunched up panties, let's hope you feel a hint of shame. When the standalone drops, I'm sure a resurgence of interest in the game will take place, and thousands of people not involved in the Alpha are going to throw money at their monitors. Your $$$, and the $$$ "lost" from the perceived exodus of all the flavor of the month players that left recently, will not be missed in the slightest. If you think my first post was trolling, then you haven't seen me troll. Actually, it was my slightly more elegant way of saying, STFU! There are many many games I have paid 50$ for in years gone by that ended up collecting dust on my shelf. The hours of fun gameplay I already have had playing DayZ make it worth every penny, and then some.
  21. So tired of you whining entitled Prig-orodki's. We were told the next update would be some point after Sept 6th. How is another "QQ, the tents won't save!" thread going to help anything! You don't like DayZ? Leave! Go play something else! You don't like how Rocket has handled the mod lately? Don't buy the standalone! Redhead with the eye patch and a club foot turn you down for a date? Drink Drano!

Years gone by, the only way to share a gaming experience was to go to the arcade. All of your gaming accomplishments weren't FRAP'd, streamed, or co-oped. The hours of unrecorded, unshared gameplay were not, "boring as fuck and sad as fuck", but your myopic opinion is duly noted
