I want to believe that release is so close that my voicing a desire for a key would be pointless. But yeah, that.

DayZ Mod was a top 10 experience for me (30+ years gaming experience). I believe the standalone will be a fully realized and expandable version where the mod was severely limited.

Can we change the terminology to "FPS guys" instead of "CoD kiddies"? It was a thing before CoD.... guys who basically just play FPS games all the time. They're not entertained unless shooting something/someone. These are the same people who call Smash Bros "button mashing". Survival horror should always pit you against non-violent elements and offer many challenges outside of combat. With the right gameplay balance I'm hoping some FPS guys will shy away from DayZ in favor of another game that offers more instant gratification. Personally I would have 0 interest in DayZ if I wanted a constant PvP experience. I came to DayZ for what I thought would be a MMO survival horror experience or what might be characterized as an open world Resident Evil of sorts. For a time, it was glorious....

It dawns on me that there are people who would not be satisfied with dev disclosure unless there were webcams in all of the devs workspaces streaming 24/7 with live chat so they can critique and micro manage every choice each team member made.

I hope they quietly add children and baby zombies some time down the road and make them rare. I'm not usually one to push a possible ethical boundary in a game but it would be something I think they should consider. If done right, it would be something terrifying and different, bumping up scare/creep factor and adding another style of zombie to contend with (different attacks etc).

TOPIC I have the utmost faith in this dev team. I haven't seen any out and out compromises to what I thought was Rockets vision for this game. I wonder what DayZ looks like from inside Deans head noodle....
