    Super Rare Item ?

    I must have seen 5 or 6 hacksaws on the 1st Person server I was on. They were all in sheds. I'm definitely happy to have my sawed off again. I don't spend as much time looting military locations as most people nor do I server hop, so I personally have not come across any grenades or flash bangs.

    Half of a Slot items?

    ^^I totally agree. But I do think they could make extra thin or small items like maps, keys, can opener take up no space with default slots. Maybe something specific like vests would make it so a character would now have a default slot for something like a compass the way combat boots can hold a combat knife.

    ALL of the buildings are going to get revamped graphically eventually. The way I understand it, new structures as well as the reworking of the existing structures is part of the development roadmap. There are A LOT of new threads that pop up here that can be answered if the OP were to take time to get caught up on dev news.

    ^^^I felt like this was the case but if he talks before shooting he's not technically a KoS'r.... Bragging about being on top of the food chain as a "new" murderer is silly though. You could have come up against a long string of inept players.

    /insert sarcasm I think all priorities in DayZ development should be decided by PvP death match. We'll choose 1 player who represents each desired development priority and the last one standing gets their desired content or game mechanic developed first! /close sarcasm :facepalm:

  13. None of you have mentioned how global chat was used in the mod by murderers/bandits to prey upon new and friendly players. If you want chat, go join a public TS for DayZ or join a clan. I'm VERY happy without it, thank you.

    Improvised Vehicles

    As a cyclist, I would definitely like to see different types of bicycles from parts. Some parts would be interchangeable and some wouldn't, depending on the frame you have. Maybe it's too much to ask for but it would be cool to build a hybrid with compression forks for some silent speeding through the woods.

    The mod presented more opportunities for banditry I believe and I commend your efforts in promoting this play style. I'm a survivor who has been robbed without violence and I have turned robberies into trades at times, by offering extra stuff they didn't demand to try to get something I'm missing. Rarely have I been robbed of anything that I cared for much and often I'm left with most of what I had when encountered. Yeah this is bull, man. If I see you first and try to run, you're the same as a KoS kid if you shoot me in the back. If you were a skilled bandit you would corner me somehow, before trying to rob me.

    I keep up just fine, thanks. It was mentioned and discussed before you posted about it (shoe degradation). Your post completely disregarded the outcome of that conversation. Therefore, "....you did not read/comprehend the rest of this thread." AND made it sound like you did not understand how experimental worked. Maybe you don't realize your own wording in that first post.

  20. My vote just tied the happy's(+1) with the disappointeds. If you threw me into DayZ SA right now (let's call it, exp .50) I would be very impressed by the massive amount of stuff I needed to learn that was completely different from the mod. I believe that seeing the game built incrementally has given us tunnel vision to some extent. If all of the sudden you had to learn, new loot, hunting, fishing, crafting, agriculture, different loot degradation/damage tables, different zed AI and survival mechanics; you might find it wonderfully overwhelming.

    People who mention shoe degradation obviously do not understand the purpose of the experimental branch. Reading comprehension was bad before short form messaging popularity (text/instant messaging) and has only become far worse. :facepalm:

    Does anyone dislike the "no military stuff" agrument?

    I did not come to DayZ just to shoot other players but I do desire military gear. All non-aggressive players do not want to look like Daniel Boon and military gear happens to kill zeds quite well in fact and protect me from damage best. I'm fascinated with the idea of a balanced loot economy and maybe some of the upcoming news with tomorrows release will shed some light on how they are envisioning it's implementation. I for one was hoping that in a "global vanilla loot economy" you might see something like flamethrowers... but maybe only 6 of them in the entire hive.

    Melee will be different after the update tomorrow and will change many times in the months to come. The version of DayZ you are playing is far from complete and is less than 1 year old as a standalone version. Please take time to read the threads on the development of the game.

    Hoping .50 STABLE includes: Fixes for server DC and restart loop issues. Loot respawn working to some degree. Gun drop bug fix. (These are present in the recent experimental builds.)
