Possible causes include but are not limited to. Generic Pain without message > find/eat painkillers. Cold without message > make fire. And yes, Morphine wouldn't hurt > that pun.

Some tips on finding magazines and crash sites.

That was some interesting information for someone who does not follow server policy or server conduct as closely. Thank you. -
Would you support a desicion to replace the Infusion engine?
☣BioHaze☣ replied to Damnyourdeadman's topic in General Discussion
I think DayZ has massive longevity and we may see iterations/new versions of this game on snazzier future engines. The more we support and play DayZ as it comes up, the longer it lives, progresses, and improves. Not to fly too far off topic, I would really like to see new equally large or larger maps added when the game is done. Dean mentioned a DayZ style map for all cultures was of interest to him. Western, Asian, African style DayZ's right? I would LOVE for maps to be built for where the debug plains start. Approach the area for a prompt to change servers and load the neighboring country or stay in Chernarus. Maybe future game engines would make this more feasible.... -
Suggestions to improve Player vs Zombies. Can also improve PvP melee.
☣BioHaze☣ replied to St. Jimmy's topic in Suggestions
It will be super exciting to see all elements of melee and zombie interaction improved! Speaking of which, I would LOVE to see a wide variety of infected AI types. At the very least like 3 different states of awareness, kind of like how we have standing and walking now but a bit more indepth as I believe the mod was. A zombie that just stands there with a set cone of awareness, maybe lolling his head around, good. A zombie that walks/runs a fixed small/large, pattern, good. A zombie that walks/runs a random small/large pattern, good. Crawling, crouching, zombies that drop themselves from 2nd story windows as you walk by. :P Different levels of interest in the animals is good. Edit: Oh yeah, and I believe they should be able to grab onto players for biting in some instances, even if they aren't trying to eat you.... -
How to stay alive in the middle of Berezino experiment
☣BioHaze☣ replied to StayAlive (DayZ)'s topic in Gallery
Try it on a 3PP server now. ;) All kidding aside, that was a really fun story and you didn't spell Berezino, "Berinzino". Good stuff, thanks for sharing! -
This. I also appreciate games that are made to draw people together. I get that from Nintendos mostly. When the game is closer to finished I may play with people regularly but not for quite awhile still, I imagine.

SO many of you haven't got a clue as to what DayZ is going to become. Reading post after post of the same stuff just makes me:         ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Within the coming months vehicles will be polished, new models implemented, and parts/servicing parts will be implemented as well. Finding and maintaining vehicles is going to become increasing difficult as time goes on. Right now, with no parts to install and only gas needed, it's probably one of the EASIEST times we will have at using a functioning vehicle, whether buggy or not. -
I would be happy with just: Beans bags (police) > Rubber/Plastic Slugs (police) > Rock Salt (cabins/farms) > Birdshot (cabins/farms) > Buckshot (everywhere) > Slugs (everywhere) Other stuff might be neat, even a rare blunderbus gun for an array of craftable ammo would be cool but complicated of course.

I always read "this week" as a very flexible term coming from these devs. Definitely read that as "the next 7 days", and as stated above, Wednesday is the day I would hope/expect to see the roll out of the new anti-cheat and maybe an Experimental update.
-
We can agree to disagree here but I don't think you played the mod.... If you add enough zombies with polished AI and pathfinding you will find that survival as a new spawn will require hours of stealth and careful looting and any person who thinks they can fight their way alone through a horde of zombies without automatic weapons or a lot of backup is going to be sorely disappointed. Now add a chance for all sorts of infection, bone breaking, and disease from zombie contact and you'll start to get an idea of what the future holds. Shit, we don't even need to purify water yet....!

Reddit / Eugen: Re: Cheaters and BattlEye. You should see a major improvement this week. ^^^^Most recent dev tracker post. There's a banwave a comin'.

you are going to get wiped many times before this game is finished (2 years from now) never get attached to your gear KoS if it's the only way you think you'll enjoy the game talk to people if you want a variety of experiences
-
He is well entitled to play anyway he wants, I was making a point about the core concepts of DayZ. Vanilla DayZ will never be about gearing up fast or myself and A LOT of long time players will lose interest fast. Maybe some of the private shard and modding shenanigans will have that shit in the distant future. Rampant instant PvP adds little to a survival horror game. Banditry, actually robbing people, does. Right now the current state of the Alpha is being treated like the mod to a degree and makes PvP the most interesting thing for most players. CoD policing has a purpose, so that when the game starts tilting towards basic survival, we can say I told you so....

Does anyone actually enjoy killing zombies in DayZ?
☣BioHaze☣ replied to Awruk's topic in General Discussion
Because Teddy Bears are just a model and zombies require the new renderer.... -
"Have some fucking rice, baller!" Edit: I took these pics to show my love for pig to you. I had a shot from a deerstand and let the swine run free. Safe travels, Mr. Pig.
-
I'm most excited for the new renderer. I think/hope that if you gave the SA another 6 months you would/should see a massive improvement. I took 6 months off from DayZ and have been playing again a bit since around .45 and I've seen some interesting stuff added and tweaked and it's been fun/interesting for me to see what the devs test on us in experimental builds, which can be a unique short term DayZ experience of sorts. A really deep game can take 3+ years to make on average, right? If you think about what still needs to be added to DayZ and how ambitious their goals are and even the unusual path the SA took when launched, I would say the pace of development is at least fair as well. I am prepared for the possibility that things could "go bad" with DayZ but to judge the game at less than half done isn't really fair at all.
-
I was making a point in "cheeky" fashion there, man. If you want instant gratification death match, a lot of other "games that have guns" have less bugs/hackers, instant gear, and stiffer competition. I have a feeling that "getting geared fast" isn't anywhere on development roadmap currently.
-
Instant fighting you say? Liek BF's or CoD's?

Cities were supposed to be riddles with diseases?
☣BioHaze☣ replied to [email protected]'s topic in General Discussion
Edit: @Beck it's "Day Zero" so there hasn't been time for fruit to rot. Also, I personally haven't seen zeds crouch and nom on a corpse since the mod. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ It's a neat idea and I vaguely remember this but I haven't seen anything about it in recent dev posts. I think they are more focused on getting to the point where we can have more zombies and have implemented a large amount of medical aspects before something like this would be experimented with. -
Are ladders/stairs supposed to be the most dangerous thing in the game?

You're welcome! You have absolutely no idea who you are talking to! You've been reported! Happy new year! -
I'm for layering to a degree but this is an old suggestion. Sorry not sorry. No offense whatsoever redstone, but after 2+ years this forum is like groundhogs day with every new member. http://forums.dayzgame.com/index.php?/topic/214384-clothes-layering-belt-slot-and-items-and-waterskin/?hl=%2Blayering+%2Bclothes http://forums.dayzgame.com/index.php?/topic/208897-layering-systemclothing-useless-how-to-fix/?hl=%2Blayering+%2Bclothes It can be exhausting wading through all the repeat threads to try to glean something new from the conversation RE: DayZ. This is why I stick to the official build threads and dev tracker when they are active....

Actually you sound like a partially informed self entitled new guy who is "still far behind on his reading". Just a cursory search under a combination of words brings up.... http://forums.dayzgame.com/index.php?/topic/213649-random-death-on-the-stairs-and-floors/?hl=%2Bstairs+%2Bdeath Feel free to use more abbreviated name calling and I'll be sure to report you. Hi. This is an old and well known bug. Please take the time to read as much as possible about the current state of this alpha project.
